Forgotten Faces

Matt`s POV

“We should pack some of her things and then I will take her to my home.” Brian suggested.
“Why should we do that? She is not your girlfriend anymore and I want her to wake in familiar surroundings. Besides we told the police that she will be here tomorrow!”
“So that you know, I will stay with her… you can go home. Thanks for taking care but I will take it from here…” Now I really got angry at this cocky son of a bitch.
“What you think now is the time to play the big saver? She doesn’t want you… You will be the least person she wants to see when she wakes up. So go home and do the same thing you did the last couple of weeks while I was here every fucking day and saw her cry her eyes out because of you. Did you know that she even talks in her sleep? No? That’s what I thought… And if you knew you wouldn’t want to hear what it was during the last couple of weeks, believe me. Brian, you are one of my best friends but since the last month I just can’t fucking figure you out. You hurt her enough… So please just go and bang some fan girls or do whatever you want. She is important to me and I will be waiting here for her to wake up.”

Brian´s POV

I felt sucker punched after Matt´s little speech. Was it really too late? What was it that I wanted? Why did I feel the strong need to stay with her? But just a couple of days ago I couldn’t stand the thought about her and Matt.
I should go… He was here every fucking day. And when I looked around her little apartment
I saw some of his things lying around.
What was going on between them? I could feel the sting of jealousy again.
I should go… I did enough for today. I could come back tomorrow. Maybe Matt was right and she doesn’t want to see me when she wakes up.

Mia´s POV

The black cloud slowly lifted from my eyes… blinked my eyes open. It was still dark…where am I?
I can remember… Nothing. Oh my god! What happened? I have no idea! I began to panic but I didn’t feel my body. I could only open my eyes and nothing else happened…
“Brian?” Was that my voice? Is somebody there at all? “Matt?”
Then I could see two figures lean into my sight. Brian first and then I could see Matt. I was so relieved to see them both. They were talking but it was way too fast, I couldn’t understand any of it.
“I cannot move!” A tear slipped down my cheek. And Matt was the first to wipe it off with his thump.
“It’s ok, Mia. We will take care of you. We were at the Club and someone slipped a drug into your drink. Brian caught him. But you drank half of it. Now it must slowly leave your system. Do you want something to drink?” Matt was talking slowly.
“Yes, please. But I can´t…”
Brian lifted me up and slowly sat on the couch, my head was lying on his lap then he lifted the glass to my lips and I drank.
After that I felt like someone had drained all energy from me again… “Tired… so tired…” My eyes closed and everything was black again.
