It's the night their concert is scheduled, Jimmy got his cast off about a week ago and he has been practicing on his drum set in the basement to see if he could do everything right and naturally he could. Jimmy has been with the guys all day and all of yesterday.
"Brayden Sullivan!" My name was called snapping me out of my thoughts
I looked up and Papa Gates was standing there
"Papa!" I said getting up to hug him
I hadn't seen him in so long, him and my mom basically wet away to elope or some shit like that.
"How have you been?" He asked
"Better now that my boys are home." I said
I looked down at the two inch gash scar on my arm from the stitches. Papa didn't say anything about it. My phone started ringing it was Brian.
"Hey Brian are you done with my husband?" I asked
"About him." Brian said
"What happened?" I asked
"Well.. He's in jail." Brian said
"I don't even want to know why. I'm on my way." I said
He hung up and I looked at Papa.
"Can you watch Payson. I have to go to the jail to get my husband for their show tonight." I said
"Sure thing lovely." He said
I smiled and kissed my daughter goodbye and left driving to the jail. I parked and walked in.
"Hi Brayden." The first cop at the counter said
"Is it bad that we're on a first name basis Earl?" I asked him
"With James anything can happen. I'll lead you to him." Earl said
"Can I get him out. He's got a show in a few hours." I said
"He has to stay in here for a minimum of three hours." He said
"But the show is in three and a half." I said
"He'll have a half and hour to get there." Earl smiled
"Earl!" I whined
He smiled and let me go back to Jimmy, he left me alone to walk though the cells of people.
"Hey who's the hottie?" I heard
I turned to look and he looked like a drug dealer, he reached out to touch me.
"Don't touch me." I said
"Baby is that you!" I heard Jimmy yell
"Yeah Jim it's me." I said
I walked to where Brian and Matt were and Jimmy was in the cell digging at his eyes
"What are you doing?" I asked
"I got pepper sprayed a lot." He sad sounding so sad
I was mad at him for being arrested again but he sounded so sad, I just wanted to hug him.
"Earl says you've got to stay in here for three hours." I said
"The show is in three and a half not counting drive time. Jimmy's going to have to shower." Matt said
"I won't shower. I'll be fine." He said
"That's a stupid move." Brian said
"I'll be fine." Jimmy said
I sighed and he pulled my hand into the cell and held it. The three hours went by and Earl came and unlocked the cell, I filled out paperwork and we left. I called Papa on the way to the venue. "Hey dear." He answered
"Papa can you take care of Payson we're on out way to the venue. If not take her to Val." I said
"I'll get her. I don't get to spend enough time with her." He said
"Thank you." I said
"Love you." He said
"I love you too." I said
I hung up and we finally made it to the venue.
"You guys are almost late!" Larry yelled as we walked in
Johnny and Zacky we already ready to go.
"This dumb ass got arrested." Brian said getting his ear pierces in an fetching his guitar
"James!" Larry yelled
Jimmy laughed and got behind the drums it was dark on stage. I helped him get his big headphone type thing on and I kissed him and scurried off stage. The concert started and the crowd roared.
"What'd he do?" Larry asked me
"I didn't want to know." I said
Larry laughed
"Don't be mad at him please." I said
"I won't show it." He said
After a few songs I was signing along with Matt when I noticed Jimmy missing drum beats. I looked at him and he was wiping his eyes.
"Shit the pepper spray." I said to myself
When the song ended it got extremely dark and I ran around and got a towel and water. I ran onto the dark stage and looked at Matt.
"It's the pepper spray." I whispered.
"Help him. I'll talk." He whispered
I nodded and ran to Jimmy
"Babe it's Bray." I said
He nodded and I pulled the headset thing off. I dumped water into the towel and wiped his eyes. This was going to be a problem all night.
"So sorry about that last song. I don't know what happened." Matt said
"Baby can you see?" I asked
The minute I said that I realized I was right next to his microphone and the whole venue heard me.
"It looks like Rev's getting some help from the lovely Brayden Sullivan back there." Matt said
The spotlight hit us and I turned a bright red. The crowd awed I I looked at Matt.
"Say hi." Matt said
"Hello." I said into the microphone
The crowd laughed and I looked at Jimmy and he was blinking rabidly. I got close to his ear.
"Are you going to be able to do the rest of the show?" I asked
"I'm going to. Just be on stand by." He said
I nodded and kissed him
. "Sullivan's are we good?" Matt asked
"Yep." Jimmy said
I smiled and I ran off stage.
“Wait!” Matt said
I stopped moving
“Come back out here.” He said
I was confused but I walked towards him, all of the lights were on now and the crowd could see me. Could see me in my shorts and tank top and chucks.
“Well this isn’t the outfit I’d like to be seem by a shit ton of people by.” I smiled
“You look fine! Doesn’t she?” Matt yelled
“I think she looks pretty dapper.” Zacky said
“Dapper?” I asked He nodded.
“Before we do this with Brayden I would like to welcome out another member of the Avenged girls. Lacey Franklin!” Matt yelled
Lacey came on stage and looked at me confused, I just shrugged.
“Fans? Are all of you okay with this?” Matt asked
“YES!” Everyone screamed
“What’s going on?” Lacey asked me
“Lacey Franklin.” Johnny said
We all looked over and Johnny and he no longer had his bass on him and he was down on one knee. “Yeah?” Lacey asked
“Will you marry me?” He asked
The crowd went nuts.
“Yes Johnny I’ll marry you!” She screamed jumping up and down.
Now Lacey and Johnny were engaged along with Brian and Madison. Brian and Madison happened the day that the boys got back, they went out to a romantic dinner on the boat thing and he asked her. Johnny slid the ring onto Lacey’s finger and kissed her. Lacey ran off stage.
“Now Brayden here is going to help us out for this song and maybe some other ones.” Matt said
“I’m what?” I asked
He got close to my ear.
“Sing the beginning of Seize the Day.” He said
I nodded.
“Now Brayden here has a beautiful voice so be nice. She may be nervous.” Matt said
The crowd hollered and Matt adjusted the Microphone stand to my height knowing I would be holding onto it.
“Seize the day or die regretting the time you lost, it’s empty and cold without you here, too many people to look over.” I sang with Zacky playing his acoustic guitar.
Matt took over and I ran off of the stage and sat down trying to calm down.
“Are you okay?” Lacey asked
“That was scary yet exciting.” I said
“I about threw up going on stage, when I saw Johnny on one knee I started to cry.” She said
“Let me see the ring.” I said
She held out her hand and the ring was absolutely beautiful.
“This is humorous because Zacky caught your garter and Gena caught the bouquet.” Lacey said
I nodded and Larry came up to me.
“Help with A little Piece of Heaven.” He said
I nodded and went to the stage.
“I’m back… This is going to make me think of my wedding but lets do this!” I yelled
Matt was smiling and we sang A little Piece of Heaven together.
After it was done I stood there smiling
“Release the demon!” I heard someone scream from backstage.
I looked and Payson was running towards me, I knelt down and scooped her up.
“Rev our daughter is a demon now.” I smiled
“Well she is mine.” Jimmy said
I laughed and took Payson back to Papa and handed her to him.
“I wasn’t expecting to see you on stage.” Papa said
“Me either but you know Matt.” I said
“Did you have fun?” He asked
I nodded and Larry once again was next to me.
“Brayden?” He asked
“Yes?” I asked
“Scream.” He said
“Into the microphone?” I asked
“Beginning of the song. Do it.” He said
I looked on stage and Matt was smiling. I took the microphone from Larry and walked on the stage, stood in the middle and let out a scream into it.
“Last song for the night!” Matt yelled
Matt started to sing and I danced around, I stopped dancing and smiled pointing at Jimmy as he hit the drums and then all of a sudden the pyrotechnics went off and my right forearm was shot by the fire. I screamed and hit the floor, the song stopped and Jimmy was trying to get out from behind the drums, I couldn’t breathe the pain was unbearable. Matt ran over to me with the microphone in his hand.
“Brayden are you okay?” He asked
Jimmy was still getting unhooked.
“Help me Brian! Someone!” He yelled
“I think I need to go to the hospital.” I cried
Jimmy got fed up and pulled the cables away from him and he was running towards me.
“I’ve got you baby.” He said picking me up
I tried to cradle my right arm to my chest.
“Don’t it’s burnt really bad we don’t want your skin to melt to your shirt.” He said
I cried and he rushed me off of the stage demanding a lot of ice.
“Okay guys we will keep you updated with Brayden and there will be a meet and greet it just won’t be too long. Are you guys okay with that? I know it is supposed to be three hours but a family member just got burnt.” Matt said
The crowd yelled and then I was in the car being rushed to the hospital.
“How are you feeling baby? We’re almost there.” Jimmy said
“It hurts.” I said
“I know. We’re going to get it fixed and wrapped up.” He said
I nodded and laid my head on the window. When we got to the hospital Jimmy took me to the burn unit and they put some nasty looking creamy shit on my arm and wrapped it up.
“Mr. Sullivan now unwrap this in two days and put more of the cream on it and wrap it back up. Do it every two days until the burn is healed because this one is bad. May I ask what happened?” The doctor asked
“Pyrotechnics at one of our concerts.” He said
The doctor nodded and we were on our way back to the venue because I wanted him to go to the meet and greet to see the fans.
“Baby are you sure. You just got hurt.” He said
“It’s just a burn and I have the cream stuff and I have the pain medicine he gave me.” I said
“You are so stubborn Bray you know that. What am I going to do with you?” He asked
“Love me.” I said
“I love you with all of my heart and I was scared when I saw the flame go up and get your arm. You are lucky it was just a puff of fire and not a stream because you’d most likely have to get your arm amputated.” He said
“I don’t want that.” I said
“I know.” He said
We pulled back into the venue and he carried me to the meet and greet.
“How’s your arm?” Zacky asked
“It hurts like a bitch.” I said
I was still crying a little but the cream numbed it and the wrap was helping it. This was going to be an ugly scar.
“She insisted that I come back.” Jimmy said
I smiled and we did the meet and greet and so many fans kept asking me if I was okay and giving me hugs, they really are the best fans. After the meet and greet Jimmy took Payson and we went home, I took more medicine and Jimmy sent me to bed
