Chapter Twenty-Three
It’s been a few months since Brayden was burned and she’s healed up and she got a skin graph type thing but she has a giant scar on her right arm. She hated it but I didn’t mind it, it felt a little weird to the touch but she was still my beautiful wife, no question to me she was the most beautiful girl on the planet besides Pasyon. Speaking of Payson she’s turning two tomorrow and I’m literally freaking out and I have no idea why.
“What should the decorations be?” Zacky asked
I looked at Brayden and smiled.
“Fine.” She said
There wasn’t really going to be an actual party because she is only two but we’re doing balloons and a cake.
“Babe go order the cake and the girls and I will get the balloons.” Bray said
I nodded and I took Zacky with me to the bakery and ordered the cake
“What type of cake would you like?” The girl asked
She looked up.
“Jimmy!” She smiled
It was a girl I went to school with.
“Hi Lisa.” I said
“Zack!” She yelled
Zack laughed and smiled at her.
“What do you need a cake for?” She asked me
“A birthday party.” I said
“Shape?” She asked
“A duckling.” I smiled
“Typical.” Zacky said
“Flavor?” She asked
“Half white half chocolate.” I said
“When do you need it by?” She asked
“Tomorrow.” I said
“We can do that.” She said
“Thanks Lisa.” I said
“Anything written on it?” She aske
d “Happy second birthday Payson.” I said
“Got it. Quick question. Who’s Payson?” She asked
I smiled
“His daughter.” Zacky said
“You have a daughter?” She asked
“Yes and a wife.” I said
“Lucky girl.” She said
Lisa always had the biggest crush on me in high school.
“Who’s your lucky man?” Zacky asked
I noticed the wedding ring on her finger.
“Peter Kicks.” She said
“That football player guy?” Zacky asked
She nodded and smiled
. “Well leave your number and I’ll call you when her cake is ready.” She said
“Thank you Lisa.” I said
“No problem.” She said
I left my last name and number and hugged her over the counter. Zacky and I met back up with the girls who were talking in quiet whispers to each other. Madison was carring a bag and Brayden was carrying a bag and Payson.
“Let me take that bag for you.” I said
“Nope but you can take Payson.” She smiled
I looked at her funny and took Payson from her.
“Mommy.” Payson said
“Yes baby?” Brayden asked
“I twrn two tomorrow.” She said
I smiled.
“Yes.” Brayden said
“Daddy can I walk?” She asked
I pretended to be offended and put her on the floor and took her hand, we walked back to our house and Matt was sitting on the front porch with Val and Alex. Payson wiggled her hand out of mine and ran to Matt yelling.
“Uncle Mattie! Uncle Mattie!” She yelled
'Matt smiled and caught her and lifted her up in the air.
“Hey little P.” He said
“I’m not wittle anymore I twrn two tomorrow.” She said
Ever since I got home from tour she’s been talking, I guess she was just waiting on me to be home to start talking.
“I know you do. Are you excited?” He asked her
Val, Madison, Gena, and Brayden went into the house.
“I am. I get cake and pwresents.” She said
“Well I have one for you now but you have to wait. By the way I love your jacket.” He said
She was wearing the Avenged Sevenfold jacket that Larry got her, he had given us a bigger size then she needed when he actually gave it to us in the studio.
“I want it!” Payson laughed
“You want tickled?” Matt asked
“Noo! Daddy save me!” She yelled
I smiled and Matt gave her too me.
“Daddy is my hero.” She said
“And you are my little rocker.” I said
Matt and I went inside and Brayden was talking to Val who was feeding Alex out of a green baby bottle. “Val I think we should get home.” Matt said
Val nodded and smiled at Brayden
“I’ll be over to help earlier than the boys.” She said
“Same here.” Gena and Madison said
“I’ll tell Lacey we will need her help.” Val said
Brayden nodded and everyone left, we fed Payson and she went to bed.
“Stop messing with it.” I said to Brayden
She was messing with her right arm, she hated the scar.
“People stare.” She said
“Tell them to fuck themselves.” I said
“You’re funny baby.” She said
“Am I now?” I asked leaning over her on the bed
“Yes hilarious.” She smiled biting her lip
“I love you.” I said
“I love you too.” She said
“You and Payson are my everything. If the band went under tomorrow I would still be the happiest man alive.” I said
She smiled her beautiful brown eyes sparking in the light
. “When we have another kid their eyes better be just like yours.” I said
“So you want another kid?” She asked
I nodded and smiled.
“Me too.” She said
I smiled and kissed her, we went to bed.
“MOMMY!! DADDY!! WAKE UP!!!” Payson screamed jumping on them bed
. “Little monster.” Brayden said pulling her to her.
We moved Payson out of the crib when I got home because she kept climbing out of it, she sleeps in a bed, it’s a toddler bed with side guards so she doesn’t fall out when she sleeps.
“It’s my birfday mommy!” She yelled
“Happy birthday.” Brayden said
“I love you mommy.” She said
“I love you too.” Brayden said
“Where’s my love?” I asked
Payson climbed over to me and kissed me,
“Happy Birthday my little rocker.” I said
She jumped down from our bed and my phone rang.
“Hello?” I answered
“Hi Mr. Sullivan your duckling cake is ready.” The male said
“I’ll be there to pick it up soon.” I said
I felt Brayden get out of the bed and I watched her get dressed and leave the room. I got up and got dressed and went and picked up the cake. When I got back there were balloons covering the floors of the house.
“Jesus fuck this is a lot of Balloons.” I said
“Daddy that’s fifty cents into the swear jar!” Payson said popping out of the balloons
I groaned and paid the jar and took the cake into the kitchen
“Can I see?” Brayden asked
I nodded and opened the box.
“It’s adorable.” She said
I smiled.
The party went on and the boys showed up, Papa Gates and Brayden’s mom(They are married now) showed up and the party went on. It was now late and Payson was asleep in her bed upstairs surrounded by the things she got today.
“Daddy, Brian, ZAcky, Matt, and Johnny.” Brayden said
She called me Daddy and I called her mama or mommy. I don’t know why.
“Yesum?” Zacky said
“Us girls have a mission for you from us.” She said
“What is it?” I asked
“Well the basement is currently filled with back balloons. Each balloon has something in it but there is one special balloon for Jimmy. Whomever finds it for him will get fifty dollars and whatever they got from the other balloons that they popped. But Jimmy if you find it you don’t get money.” She smiled
“How are we going to pop them?” Brian asked
“Needles.” Madison said
She handed each of us a three inch needle and they took us to the basement. Brayden wasn’t kidding it was full of black balloons.
“LETS DO THIS!” I yelled going into the room
We started to pop balloons like crazy men.
“I think I found what was for you.” Johnny said
I ran to him popping balloons with my feet as I went. He had a plastic bag in his hands.
“How the hell did they get this into a balloon?” I asked
He shrugged and I took the bag.
Congratulations Daddy!
Is what it said with a smiley face.
There was a pregnancy test in it and it read pregnant.
“WE’RE PREGNANT!” I screamed jumping up and down
