he bright lights were what woke me up, and people shouting, something about an IV, I think I can hear Zacky there somewhere, but I can’t be sure, sure now he fucking wants to care about me. Now he cares.
“She’s waking up! Get the chief fast!” Their voice was horrible and I felt sick, sicker than I’d ever felt before, I turned my head to the side and threw up everything in my stomach, I felt someone lift my shoulders off the bed I was on, bed?
“Get her up she can’t choke!” I carried on throwing up, and then the black spots
clouded over my vision and i lost consciousness again.

“Shh she’s waking up” That sounded like Val. Why was Val here? “Riley can you hear me?” My limbs felt heavy and I couldn’t move them properly, but I think I made my finger twitched. “Riley open your eyes” Someone else said, oh Michelle, why is Michelle here?
I was still waiting to hear his voice, waiting to hear that he was here so I could tell him I was sorry. I struggled with my eyelids for a few minutes before I managed to get them open. I looked around the room, as suspected Val and Michelle were there, so was Brian, I looked to my left and there he was, his face buried in his hands, his shoulders shaking, my heart cracked at that moment. I tried to reach out for him but I found my hands were restrained by cuffs that were attached to the bed. I tried to speak to ask why I was like this but I found that I gagged and coughed. I whimpered and started to panic.
“Riley calm down, they had to pump your stomach and the cuffs are so you… so you can’t hurt yourself again” Val said stroking my hair. I looked up at her with wide eyes before looking around the room again. I stopped when I hit Zacky again; he still had his face in his hands. I stretched my hand towards him as far as I could, I managed to stroke his hair with my fingertips. He sniffed and looked up at me, his wet eyes going wide. He reached out and grabbed my hand and squeezed it hard. I knew the others could feel that fact that we needed some time so they left us alone.
“Riley” He whispered moving the chair nearer the bed “Why?”
“You didn’t love me anymore” I croaked.
“What? No Riley no! I could never stop loving you” He coughed and looked down again trying not to let me see the tears that were leaking out of his eyes.
“I love you” I said “I’m sorry” I said
“Don’t apologise Riley please just promise me you’re never gonna do this again, please Riley I love you, I almost lost you Riley” He stood and kissed my forehead tenderly. “Please” He whispered. I gripped the front of his shirt, breathing in his smell.
“Don’t stop loving me” I sobbed “Don’t”
“I won’t ever stop loving you I promise, until my heart stops beating Riley, I’ll always fucking love you”
“Zacky I’m sorry” I wailed “I though you didn’t love me anymore, I thought that you hated me and you didn’t love me”
“Shh shh Riley no, shh Riley no I’ll never stop loving you I promise you that”
“Please don’t” I whispered.
Just then the door opened and the doctor came in but I didn’t let go of Zacky. He cleared his throat but I still didn’t let go.
“Miss Summers I came in to see how you were feeling”
“Shitty” I said “My stomach and my arms hurt and I feel like I wanna puke all the time”
“Okay, that’s normal after what you’ve been through”
“Yeah well I just wanna sleep now” I said still not looking at him.
“That’s okay, we were going to give you something to help you sleep” He said handing the nurse something.
“I can sleep just fine on my own”
“On the contrary this will help you sleep much better” He said. I rolled my eyes, fucking drug pusher. The nurse came back and started messing with the IV, Zacky glared at it as if it was poison she was giving me. I patted the bed and he kicked off his shoes before climbing up onto the bed with me. The nurse left after that and so did the doctor.
“I love you Zacky” I said as my eyelids started to droop.
“I love you too Riley” and that was the last thing that I heard before I was swallowed up by unconsciousness.
