Crashed

Still No Change

Every day that passes there hasn’t been any change in the condition of Jay. I’m starting to believe that she won’t ever recover but Jimmy says she has a good chance in recovering since she hasn’t had any trouble breathing but what’s to stop her from breathing bad any minute? She could give up on herself in a matter of seconds if she wanted too. I finished up some work I had pushed aside and the others in my office were doing the same. I got up from my desk and left the room without a word and went down to the medical ward. I pushed open the door and Jimmy was giving her daily injection of morphine and Insulin.

“You finish the work that needed to be done?”

“Yeah. How is she doing?” I asked coming over to her bedside.

“Her lungs are still clear and her burns don’t look as bad as they did a week ago. The cuts on her chest and stomach are good and I was just about to change this bandaging on her back. Do you want to help me?”

“I guess I could.” I said nodding and I watched him carefully peel back the tape from her skin that kept the bandaging in place and then pull back the white cotton-like material. Her back was beginning to heal but I don’t understand why she hasn’t woken yet.

“Jimmy, why doesn’t she wake up?” I asked out of curiosity.

“She’s under sedation for a while and when her back looks a little bit better, I’ll take her off of it and she should wake up when it wears off.” He threw the bandages into a trash can on the other side of the room and grabbed fresh ones and laid them down on a small square table.

He put on some gloves and handed me a pair which I put on as he grabbed a bottle of something. He squeezed the bottle and a clear liquid came out and he gently started spreading the stuff over her burnt back. I heard Jay mumble something and I looked up at Jimmy.

“She’s been doing that for the past week but never opened her eyes.”

“Is that a good sign? I mean her mumbling like that?” I asked looking down at her back as he went back to putting the medicine on her back.

“Yeah it is actually. If she can mumble then she doesn’t have any problems with her lungs. Here.” Jimmy handed me one side of the large bandage and showed me where to place it on her back before he taped it to her skin.

“I’m going to get coffee. Do you want some?”

“Yeah sure.” I said nodding and sitting down in a chair next to her. I heard the door close and I stared at her as she laid there. I just want her to wake up. I already had the idea of what’s going to go down between my alias and Papa Roach but I want her to wake up before I act on it. I gently grab a hold of her hand and leaned back in my chair closing my eyes. The minute I closed my eyes, I felt sleep take over me. I hadn’t slept much in the past week because of me worrying so much about her.

@ReaperDreams

I read the first chapter and i thought the same, this sounds exactly like 23. I'm not reading the rest. Anyone that wants to read the original should look up 23 and the sequel 24. Can't tell me they don't sound similar.

I'm not going to get out of this "writing game" as u call it just becuz a few people don't like the way I write. I put that on all my stories for the common respect people on here should have for others writing. I know people who get their stories published get bashed and have criticism all the time but this is a creative writing place for people who want others to see their abilities to write, whether they are good or not.
On that last note, I actually love this story.
If you can not take harsh criticism then you need to get out of the writing game. It is a part of life and you need to take it.
Im sure this isa great story, but I made it to chapter 4 and could not read anymore. I love Jacoby and Papa Roach more than I love A7x, so I had to stop. Sorry. And not to be rude, but its spelled Shaddix not Shadixx.
