Crashed

Breakfast of Champions

I awoke to the sun shining through the window so I covered my eyes with one of my arms. I glanced over at the clock and seen it was 10:30 in the morning. I slung the covers off of my body and sauntered into the bathroom that was connected to the room. I splashed some water in my face waking me up better. I wiped off my face and left the bathroom and seen 2 young women sitting on my bed. One woman had towels and a washcloth in her hands and the other had bags sitting around her on the floor.

“Good Moring Miss Axelle. I brought you some towels so you can freshen up a bit before breakfast. My friend here went out and got you some clothes by the order of Shadows.”

“Thank you.” I said timidly as I went over to them. The woman with long Black hair gave me the towels and washcloth before leaving the room.

“I hope you like everything I had bought. Shadows told me your sizes and what fit your personality.”

“What doesn’t he know?” I said rolling my eyes and picking up the bags and putting them on the bed.

“If you’ll excuse me, I need to get breakfast prepared.” I nodded once and she left the room shutting the door behind her. I set the towels down on the bed and looked through the bags of clothing. There were shirts, shorts, jeans, decent enough underware, and shoes.

I grabbed a pair of the jeans and a t-shirt along with some undergarments and took the towels and washcloth with me as I went back into the bathroom. I shut the door behind me and sat everything down on the counter before turning on the water to warm up. After the shower, I dried myself off and put on the clothes and exited the bathroom with my pajamas. I exited the room after taking the towel down from my head and brushing through it and went down the hallway where an angry Vengeance came towards me. I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

“You know rolling your pretty little eyes at someone is very rude.” I shook my head and I felt his hands grab my arm and push me against the wall. I pushed him back and glared at him evilly.

“Vengeance, leave her alone. I don’t think Shadows would be happy with you hurting her again.” I looked over at a very tall man with jet black hair and tattoos of handcuffs on his neck. Vengeance walked away huffing and the tall man came over to me.

“Sorry about him. He can be an asshole at times.”

“I can handle him.” I said calming myself.

“I’m the Reverend but you can call me Rev for short.”

“Jaylee.” I said shaking his hand.

“Come on and let’s go eat before it’s all gone.” I nodded and we went down the stairs and into the kitchen where everyone looked over at me and the Rev.

“Good Morning Jaylee.”

“Morning.” I said slightly nodding.

“They can look scary but they really aren’t.” He leaned over and whispered.

“Thanks for the heads up.” I whispered right back.

“Why are you whisper Rev?”

“No reason.” He said and he led me over to the bar where we filled our plates. I sat down next to Rev and a short man.

“I’m Christ.” He said extending his hand.

“Jaylee.” I shook his hand and went on with eating. While I are there was so many questions going through my head but I don’t know if I should ask them at the moment. I finished my plate and was about to get up and take it to the sink when Shadows spoke.

“Leave your plate and come with me.” I set the plate back down and followed Shadows out of the kitchen and back to his office. I sat down in the same chair and he sat down in one behind his desk.

“I see the clothes Tori picked out for you are good.”

“They are but I do have some questions that I need answered.” I said leaning forward and placing my arms on his desk.

“Ask away.” He leaned back into his chair.

“How do you know so much about me?” I asked right off.

“Grace told me most of things like your personality, your hobbies, daily routine, what you like do with your free time, and what your clothing style is. The rest I found out by watching you and following you and your father for months.”

“You don’t know everything and I’m not telling everything about me.” I said simply.

“There’s no need for you tell me anything. I know about your medical problems.”

“You don’t know shit.” I said shaking my head.

“Yes I do Jaylee. You take 50 CCs of Novolog 70/40 Insulin 4 times a day and sometimes more than that. The scar on your left arm is from a surgery you had to remove a cyst and you are severely allergic to Bee stings.” He leaned towards his desk and opened one of the draws and pulled out a syringe and the chilled bottle of Novolog 70/40 and scooted it across his desk in front of me.

“Should I give them to you or can you do it?” I took the bottle and syringe in hand and pumped air into the bottle before pulling some of the insulin into the syringe. I made sure all the air was out of it before injecting it into my arm without cringing. I placed the bottle and syringe back on the desk and started feeling the medication going to work. Shadows took the syringe and threw it into the trash and put the bottle back into the desk.

“For the rest of the week, I’m giving you some time to settle in and then we’ll talk some more.”

“Just one more question.” I said getting up from my seat and Shadows nodded.

“When you get more information about who killed my mom, will you let me know?” I asked sincerely.

“Of course I will. You’ll have the right to know.” I nodded and left his office closing the door behind me. I went downstairs and when I got to the bottom of the stairs the Rev came out of the kitchen with a beer in his hands.

“Hey Jay! You want to play some video games?”

“Sure.” I said shrugging and he led me down the hallway and into a room with a huge couch and a TV mounted to the wall. Under the TV was a stand with an Xbox 360, 2 PlayStation’s, and a Nintendo Wii.

“What’s your pleasure in playing? We have COD: Modern Warfare, several Guitar Heroes, and Halo.”

“COD for Xbox.” I said sitting down. The Rev went over to the Xbox smiling madly as he grabbed the controllers and put the game into the system. He came back over and turned on the TV and we began our war. Several hours later, I had killed the Rev Multiple times and he gave up and we went back into the kitchen.

“So how about some movies now?”

“Zombie Marathon?” I asked smiling.

“Hell yeah! I’ll get the popcorn and you get the movie in.” I nodded and left the kitchen and went into the living room setting up the DVD Player and putting in the first movie. He came into the living room with a big bowl of popcorn and we began our marathon. For people who have kidnapped me, this one seems to be the nicest and gentlest.

@ReaperDreams

I read the first chapter and i thought the same, this sounds exactly like 23. I'm not reading the rest. Anyone that wants to read the original should look up 23 and the sequel 24. Can't tell me they don't sound similar.

I'm not going to get out of this "writing game" as u call it just becuz a few people don't like the way I write. I put that on all my stories for the common respect people on here should have for others writing. I know people who get their stories published get bashed and have criticism all the time but this is a creative writing place for people who want others to see their abilities to write, whether they are good or not.
On that last note, I actually love this story.
If you can not take harsh criticism then you need to get out of the writing game. It is a part of life and you need to take it.
Im sure this isa great story, but I made it to chapter 4 and could not read anymore. I love Jacoby and Papa Roach more than I love A7x, so I had to stop. Sorry. And not to be rude, but its spelled Shaddix not Shadixx.
