Things I Can Change

She woke up dazed, blinking rapidly, breathing heavily, scared not knowing where she is, she starts to slowly pull her head back up to look around the place she is looks vaguely familiar she just can’t place where she is.. Then she hears a pair of feet coming towards her, they suddenly stop in front of her, she now has her head up to see who it is.. She is complete shock her heart starts to race, her mind starts to wander as to why she’s here.. Then the man says something “Hello, Sweetheart.” He said it with a twisted smile, the kind that makes you sick to your stomach..

She sits there wide eyed feeling like she can breathe like something is sitting on her chest making harder, she closes her eyes hard like when you have a bad dream, she opens them and he’s still there he says “Do that all you want, I'm still here..” Travis says now kneeling in front of her face he places his finger under her chin making her look at him her eyes still closed he says “Look at me,” her eyes still closed hoping that he’d go away, no his hand holding onto her cheeks he says louder “Look AT ME EMMA!!” she jumps a little opening her eyes, terrified, breathing heavy a tear falls from her eye he now has a smug look of his face, and wipes the tear from her eye and says “You shouldn’t cry at that, But instead cry at this..” she looks at him confused by what he meant, he stands completely upright and punches her in the side..She lets out a loud painful yell, now she’s leaning to her right side where the pain is coming from..

“You brought this upon yourself, you know?” Travis says in a smart ass tone, his arms folded over his chest..
She looks at him confused and says “How? How did I bring this on me?”she tries to just breath and maybe reason with him..

“Well for one,” he slaps her hard to where she starts to bleed.. She moves her jaw a little feeling the pain which is distracting her from the pain from her side at the moment… “You showing up at the bar that night, I was gonna leave you, and go with her but when she found out that I had a girlfriend she left me instead..” he says with a sigh

She heard what he said and doesn’t feel sorry him not at all.. She thinks of what she’s going to say but she doesn’t have time to say anything he walks over to her untying her from the chairs to fight but she can’t, he walks over to a spot in thte corner of the room grabs both of her wrists above of her head putting them in cuffs.. While he’s putting her hands in the cuffs he lets out a sigh against her neck which makes her move away from him that was a bad move on her part, he lets go of her waist, causing her to hiss in pain, her toes are the only thing touching the ground, punches her again even harder this time..

“Ow..” she says breathing hard.. Between the cuffs and her side she doesn’t know which hurts more.. He walks over to a table and brings it over to where she is, she hears the wheels moving the floor she immediately starts to panic but then again she wasn’t gonna be afraid of him..

“You know, I always wanted to be a doctor..” He says while picking up a scalpel, placing the cold metal on her ribs causing her to shiver “But I was never to fond of blood..” looking her right into her eyes, her eyes are completely filled with terror and fear but she isn’t going to let it show, at least not to him any way… she swallows, blinks and takes in a deep breath, Travis still holding the scalpel he says “I think in over that fear of blood..” now pressing the scalpel into her skin he slowly moves it down going against her ribs she lets out a scream “Ahh.” He removes it from her; she lets out a shaky breathe feeling the blood falling from her she looks down and then she just looks at him with a weak smile and says “What? Is that all you got? One little cut.”

He steps back to look at what he has on the table, she sees him looking at the items he picks up a scalpel but even bigger than the one he had before he says “No, that isn’t all I got..” taking the scalpel digging it into thigh, arm, collar bone and her shoulders and twisting it he goes to grab needle and he takes it and
*End Of Dream*

Emma screams waking April up, April looking over at her “Em, You Ok?” Breathing heavily Emma says “No, No I’m not ok.” Her voice cracking at the end…

April gets up out of her bed getting a glass of water for Emma “Here, Drink it..” She takes the glass of water and drinks it quickly and gulps the rest of it.. “Thanks..” lookin April in the eye, April puts the glass down on the table “Bad Dream?” she asks her Emma lets out a sigh..

“You have no idea..” they both settle back into their beds and go back to sleep..
