*2 Days Later*
“NOW ENTERING CALIFORNIA” April read the sign excitedly out loud while, flailing her arms with her feet in the chair, meanwhile Emma smiles and focusing on the road.. They both have been waiting for this for days, in the days before making the journey to Cali they made plans to get a house, nothing too big, but big enough for two people, they also set up job interviews April at the local hospital and Emma at a local bar.. They were beyond happy that they are friends and they’re growing closer even more excited that’s they are starting out on this new venture together to forget their pasts and start a new chapter in another book..Just hope that nothing come back to make them forget their promise…

About after an hour of driving they find the house that they bought, they both had enough in their savings to buy it.. April pulls the car in the drive way gets out to open the garage so she park in there so Emma can back the U-Haul in the drive-way, so they can start taking things out of the truck..
“Ok, this place is freaking awesome!” Emma says very loudly, maybe enough for the neighbors to hear with a huge grin while getting out of the U-Haul.

“I know dude, this is bigger than my old place.” April says in agreement with Emma, while she gets out the car, they get the spare key that the realtor left for them under the potted plant..

hey enter the place, it’s small but also big enough for the both of them, walking through the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom place April notices the pool, patio and the small table with chairs and an umbrella.. She immediately grins from ear to ear turning back to Emma she says “Dude, we must have party and soon..” she says with excitement..

“How about we unpack, put thing where they go , get these interviews and then a party?” saying that like am om would with her hand on hip..

“Fine, Mom..” April says while rolling her eyes and scoffs.. They both walk out the front door, opening the back of the U-Haul, pulling the ramp down April walks up it first to get a box or two then April goes in after her grabs a few boxes..

April puts the box down in the garage “Ok I can’t work or in this case unpack in silence so I’m gonna get some music..” Emma puts the box down placing her hand on her hip and says “Fair enough..”
So they both look through the boxes that they pulled out and find the iPod & the dock system.. April scrolls through the playlist settles on Metallica, a band that April LOVES and Emma is starting to like.. She turns it up loud enough for them to hear, and maybe to where the neighbors can too..

“...and the road becomes my bride I have stripped of all but pride, So in her I do confide, And she keeps me satisfied, Gives me all I need” April sings while doing her best James Hetfield impression..

Then Emma still taking things out of the truck she puts the box down, in the drive she sings “...and with dust in throat I crave,Only knowledge will I save, To the game you stay a slave Rover wanderer, Nomad vagabond Call me what you will.”
Then Emma looks at April who looks likes impressed and proud..

“Well, I'm going to hand it to you that was kinda awesome..” April says giving Emma high-five..
“
Yeah, I know..” Emma says cockily while brushing her nails on her shorts..

Then an unfamiliar, yet friendly deep voice says “Great song, even better band..”

Both the girls turn around and look at the guy, who was wearing a Guns N’ Roses shirt with no sleeves, jeans and aviators, his hair somewhat long it was at his ears, light brown kinda curly, hazel eyes and dimples. Then Emma notices another guy standing with him, wearing a black shirt, black hair spiky all over, nose ring and her has brown eyes..

“Uh, how long have you been standing there?” Emma asks curiously and slightly embarrassed..

“Long enough to know that your impression of Hetfield is spot on..” The guys with brown eyes says with a smile..
“Well now that we’ve managed to embarrass ourselves in front of you, we need to finish unpacking..” April lets out a small chuckle, while nodding to Emma who is taking things out of the truck, so she won’t stare at the guys with Hazel eyes..
“
Yeah, cause I clearly can unpack all this stuff by myself..” she says sarcastically while walking out of the truck..

Both the guys with smiles on their faces from Emma’s comment..

“OK, we’ll leave you to it if you need any help I live across the street..” he says smiling at both the girls but mostly at Emma..

“Oh I’m Matt. By the way..” he says while holding his hand out for them to shake.. April takes his hand and shakes it..

“I’m April, that’s Emma.” She points to Emma who shaking Brian’s hand..

“I'm Brian.. I live around the corner..” he says with a smile and does the same as Matt does..

He lands his hand to Emma she shakes with a smile.. Matt goes over to Emma to shake her hand..

He extends his arm “Matt, nice to meet you.” he says with a smile that could make you go weak in the knees… she takes his hand and says

“Emma, nice to meet you..” smiling she feels her knees go weak and her heart beat fast.. Little does she know the same thing is happening to Matt as well.. The guys say their good-byes and walk over to Matt’s house.. Leaving the girls in the drive way to finish unloading the truck, with smiles on their faces..

“Well, we met out new neighbor and his friend.. They seem nice..” April says Emma nods in agreement with her, while getting boxes out of the truck.
