April POV
After I finish telling Emma about why I left and how I got here… She was clearly at a loss for words I honestly thought she stopped breathing for a moment and then I saw her take a breather which calmed my nerves.. I place my hands on the table that were now shaking from reliving that night took a breath to calm myself down.. She covers my hands with hers and give me a small faint smile..
“Wow, you’re one tough woman, I don’t know what I would’ve done..” she says while holding both of my hands with a faint smile..
I run my hand through my hair while she asks me a question, “How far along were you?” she asks hesitantly almost like she didn’t want to ask me, I finish running my hand through my hair and I let out a breath and I look at her a little teary eyed and I say “uh I would’ve been 7 or 8 months right about now,” I say looking down at my stomach “It would’ve been a boy..” I say while still looking down thinking about how big I’d be and other things “but he took that all away from me.” I say with some anger in my voice she’s still holding my hands now holding them a little tighter she says in a upbeat tone “You are one of the strongest women I know, and I’ve only known for like 3 days if anything you MADE it through that and showed him that what he did is not OK by any means..” I look at her and realize that she is right, I did make it through that and I am strong I’ll get through this with her help of course…

“Thanks you have no freaking idea how much that means to me to hear that.. “ smiling widely and eating a fry of course.. So with that said we get back to eating our food then a song on the jukebox, yes a jukebox they still exist for some reason I thought they were extinct.. The song was Pearl Jam Alive one of my many all-time motivational songs for some reason.. Emma And I start humming and drumming on the table yeah I know we’re music junkies.. Deal with it… It’s one of the main reasons why me and her get along so well cause we like the same kind of music..

And if so...if so...who answers...who answers...

So after our second music session of the day we realize that we both are pretty freaking lucky to be alive right now, this song resonates with the both of us, so while we listen to the song no, the words and the meaning behind it and look at each other and smile and start to sing the song while moving our head to the music.. And plus Eddie Vedder has that voice that just puts emotion into whatever song he is singing, which is why I love him..
We finish our foo and pay for it realizing that its 8:45pm I look at Emma while she takes her keys out of her back pocket I glance up her and say “You think we should get a hotel room for the night?” she looks around and sees a place about 5mins away from where we are and goes “Yeah,I think that’d be a good idea since it’s night time.” So we get into the car and we drive off to the hotel..
