Chapter Ten

"Guys give her some space," I heard Matt's voice in the distance, as a white coat took my arm and prepared it for an injection. I let out a series of whimpers as a new presence came closer to me. I heard Matt whisper words into my ear, but I couldn't register what he was saying.

A second scientist came towards me with a scalpel that he had just disinfected, which meant it would burn as they cut parts of me open. I let out a shrill scream, which slowed the scientists down slightly.

I felt a warm hand on my arm as words began registering in my head. "Ann...home...not...real." I finally was able to move again, the nightmare fading. Looking to my right, I saw Travis sitting next to me, worry in his soft brown eyes.

"Travis," I sighed, hugging him close to me. He must have came in during my "episode" and helped bring me back. "What're you doing here?" I mumbled into his shoulder, a couple seconds later.

"You're supposed to take me shopping, remember?" Travis reminded me, kissing my lips.

"Oh yeah," I kissed him back. "By the way, I want you to meet the band Avenged Sevenfold,"

"Uh, hey," Travis waved awkwardly. "What are they doing here?"

"Yeah, so...apparently Matt's my biological father," I stated, turning towards Travis. "And this," I gestured towards Travis, not wanting to get up. "Is my boyfriend, Travis,"

Matt looked at Travis scrutinizing him. "Have you ever had sex with her?"

"Wow, way to get personal," I snapped glaring at him.

"What?" Matt asked, obviously not seeing the point.

"My sex life is a very personal area," I growled, crossing my arms.

"that life better be non-existent," my mom called from the hallways as she walked in.

"It is," I yelled back to her, rolling my eyes.

So it does exist, I caught Matt's thought trail.

I snarled, then went to get Hazel from my mom. "Ready to eat?"

Hazel squealed as I took her, her wings spread out. "Fine," I said, smirking a little as she beat her tiny wings, frantically, I let her go making everyone gasp, thinking she'd hit the ground. But she's my little girl, which means she's amazing and is flying better every day.

Hazel was able to hover a couple feet off the ground for a couple minutes, which made me smile, the Avenged Guys looked on in awe. I felt Travis's arm wrap around my waist, making me smile more.

When Hazel had enough of the oogaling she was receiving, she flew into my arms. "Hey there," I kissed her head. "Let's eat,"

I quickly made Hazel an egg, then got her to sit in the high chair,. As I was feeding her the guys slowly trickled outside for a smoke.

After I took Hazel out of the highchair our phone rang. I rushed over to see the caller ID say "no Name No Number", I smiled a little. This was a scam artist that had been calling us for a while.

"Hello?" I asked in a harsh tone.

"Uh, hello, is Mr. Kurt Kline there?" the scammer asked.

"No, unfortunately, he's unavailable," I replied. "But I can talk," I instantly perked up.

"Well, um, okay," the scammer replied nervously. "I was calling because we needed to refund some money to Mr. Kurt Klines' account,"

"Oh okay," I nodded my head. "Well unfortunately, that's not going to work."

"Why is that?" the scammer asked. I glanced into the kitchen to see Jimmy walk back in from his smoke.

"Because I killed him," I explained excitedly.

"W-What?" the scammer asked surprised.

"Yeah, must've stabbed him fifty fucking times, I couldn't believe it," I sang into the phone. "Ripped his heart out right before his eyes, eyes over easy."

I started to laugh maniacally into the phone as Jimmy started to chant "Eat it," in the background upon recognizing my reference.

I made a smacking sound, "Mmm, yummy," I purred into the phone. "And you're next," I growled, making the scammer hang up with a startled squeak, making me laugh all the more.

"Do I even want to know?" Alex asked, walking in with the rest of the guys.

"I thought you quit smoking," I pointed at her.

Alex shrugged, "It was just one,"

"that turns into another one and so on and so forth," I growled.

"Fine," Alex growled back, crossing her arms. "No more,"

"Good, oh and for you information I was scaring a scammer," I smiled.

"How?" Alex asked, smirking.

"She sang part of A Little Piece of Heaven," Jimmy replied excitedly.

"Shouldn't be surprised she sings," Johnny smirked. "She is Matt's daughter after all,"

"Can you sing something for those of us who missed it?" Zacky asked, excitedly.

I gave a small pained smile, "I don't really sing,"

I heard Alex scoff.

"Opinion , Alex?"

"You sing better than me," Alex laughed.

I gave her a death glare, "We were in the same choir, same section,"

"So?" Alex countered. "You're still better than me."

"Ugh!" I threw my hands in the air. "Fine, I'll sing when Karla gets back, Travis let's go shopping for your birthday stuff." I grabbed Travis's hand and went to the car, then went to Walmart, where Karla was working.
