The next morning I woke to find Matt’s side empty, the aroma of food made me believe that Matt was downstairs cooking breakfast. I pushed the blankets off me and slipped my panties on before grabbing Matt’s dress shirt off the floor that he wore last night. I walked into the bathroom and cleaned off my make-up and brushed out my hair before brushing my teeth.

Finally when I felt that I was decent enough to show my face, I left Matt’s bedroom and walked downstairs, finding no one but Brian sitting in the kitchen. He looked up when he noticed I walked in. “Morning Bri,” I muttered with a smile, helping myself to a cup of coffee.

“Enjoy yourself last night?” He sneered.

I gave him a confused look and waited for him to continue.

“Oh, don’t give that look Ash. You know exactly what I’m talking about. You having your fucking brains screwed out by Matt. I sleep in the room beside him remember? So I DEFINITELY heard you last night!”

Did I mention that Matt and Brian live together? No? Well yeah. Now you know.

“What’s it to you Brian?! I’m allowed to sleep with whoever I want. Matt’s an amazing guy. He makes me happy.”
“And what about me Ash? What about us?”

“What about us? There is no us Brian! YOU MADE THAT CLEAR BACK IN HIGH SCHOOL! You knew that I had feelings for you and yet you still went off with that slut Missy! You may be my best friend Brian but you don’t fucking control my life. I’m happy with Matt and I’ll be damned if I let you ruin it for me!”

He raised his hand and slapped me across the face. I moved back against the wall in fear. Flashbacks of what happened in high school came back and I slid down the wall and busted into tears.

Brian ran over and leaned down to touch me while apologizing profusely. I pushed his hands away and looked up at him. “Don’t fucking touch me! Get away from me! I don’t want to see your fucking face!” I sneered.

He gave me a sad expression and left the kitchen. I wrapped my arms around my legs and cried some more.

I felt a pair of arms wrap themselves around my body and pull me off the floor. I looked up to find Matt hugging me with a concerned look on his face. “What happened?” he asked softly.

I wiped the tears from my face and looked up into his hazel-green eyes. “B-Brian started yelling at me because he knows we had sex last night. Then he started going on about him and me and I told him that there was no him and me and that I was happy with you. He didn’t like that very much. H-he slapped me and I got all these flashbacks of what happened to me in high school.”


Matt stroked my back and pressed a sweet kiss to my temple. “C’mon,” he muttered. “Let’s go back upstairs.”
I nodded and followed him upstairs to his bedroom. He stripped down to his boxers and climbed into bed, motioning for me to jump him. I walked over and climbed in myself. I leaned my head on his chest and hugged him tightly. “I love you Matt.”

He pressed another kiss to my temple and smiled. “I love you too Asher. Will you be my girlfriend?”

I smiled and nodded. “Yes.”

Matt grinned and leaned down, pressing a breathtaking kiss to my lips.

Hey guys,

I know that it's extremely short and I'm sorry for that but I was supposed to update ages ago but I completely forgot. It was supposed to be my co-author's turn to do a chapter but due to the sudden departure of her best friend passing on to the Afterlife, she had decided to take a short break from writing, so I offered to do another chapter.

I don't know when she'll be back but it won't be too long :)
