Don't Speak, No Use for Words. Lie in My Arms, Sleep Secure
The Date
Three days had passed since Revie had received the news that her best friend Micah had passed away. She was in Iowa for the funeral at the moment and it broke my heart. I would’ve gone with her but I didn’t know Micah and it wouldn’t have felt right for me to intrude on such a deep personal matter.
Right now, I was going ready for my date with Matt. I had exactly twenty minutes to get ready. I slipped on the clothes I picked out and tended to my make-up and hair. Matt had told me we were going to Johnny’s Bar and I was excited but nervous at the same time. No one besides Revolver knew about my date with Matt and I had a feeling that something was going to go down when Brian found out. He always overreacted when I was out with something. He didn’t like any of the guys I used to date and it was starting to really piss me off. I love him to death and he’s one of my best friends but I don’t freak out when he gets a new flavour of the month.
I heard a honk outside my apartment and I looked over at the clock. Shit, twenty minutes had already passed. I quickly grabbed my leather jacket, house keys, wallet and phone before racing down the hall as fast as I could in 6 inch heels and left my apartment.
“Wow, you look beautiful as always,” Matt spoke as I reached the car.
I grinned and pressed a small peck to his cheek. “Thank you.”
He gave a smile and opened the car door and I climbed in. A few moments later, we were on the road headed towards Johnny’s bar.

“Wait, I thought we were going to Johnny’s bar?”
Matt laughed. “We are but I thought you’d want to get something to eat first.”
“So you took me to Angelo’s Place?”
Matt nodded. “Yep. I know how much you love this place.”
“Aw, aren’t you sweet.”
He blushed and got out of the car before jogging to my side and opening the door. “Well, aren’t you a true gentleman tonight?”
“I’m always a gentleman babe.”
It was my time to blush. Matt lifted my chin and pressed a breathtaking kiss to my lips.
We pulled back breathless and I looked up at him. Even in 6 inch heels, I had to crane my neck to see his face. “Wow, can we just skip dinner and get right to dessert?” He asked with a smug smirk.
I shrugged. “Only if you want to lover boy,” I whispered, pressing a line of kisses to his jaw.
He shuddered against me. “Get your sexy ass back in the car. We’re going to my place.”
I could definitely see myself with Matt. He’s an amazing guy as well as really sweet and caring.
I pulled away and opened the door to the car before climbing back in.
My world was definitely going to be rocked tonight ;)
