Lost Without You (Jimmy Sullivan)

Chapter 10 |Why Me?|

Jimmy’s P.O.V.
We left out of the hospital and I stopped by Ruby’s home so that she could go and get her things for tonight. Abby was happy to be with Ruby, they were in the back and Ruby was holding her and kissing her temple making Abby giggle.
“Is Ruby coming to our home uncle Shimmy?” Abby asked giggling at Ruby who was smiling and tickling the little angel. I chuckled.
“Yes she is baby girl, and grandma and grandpa are gonna help us move into my house tonight,” I told her. Ruby pulled away from Abby and looked at me with disbelief in her face. She gave me a light smile and looked to Abby who was really excited about the move. It seemed kind of pressured to have my parents around and we were healing, we were getting better and moving back home might be good for us.
“Hey Jimmy?” Ruby asked after a while. We were nearly home and I was excited to take these two back to my home so that I could cook for them. I felt like I had a family once again and it was making me happy.
“Yes beautiful?” I asked looking to her. That was no lie. Ruby was very beautiful and I was starting to really like her. She was there for me when I was down and when I needed someone. She was a stranger just days ago and now, she was my friend. I couldn’t help it though to smile a lot around her.
I saw her cheeks grow a little punk which made me smile even more, “May I go back to my place to get some things?” She asked. I nodded, her giving me the instructions to her place and I went there. Her and Abby were in the back being weirdo’s and Abby was loving every second of it.
I pulled into Ruby’s home and put the car into park and we got out and went inside her home , which actually wasn’t a house, it was a trailer. I wasn’t the one to judge though, why would I judge a beautiful girl like her?
“Sorry about the mess,” She said blushing a bit.
“It’s alright,” I said and Abby and I came inside her really messy looking trailer, the living room filled with baby toys, clothes, couches and electronically things. Ruby was in her kitchen trying to pick things up, pots and pans filling the sink. On her walls though were beautiful master pieces that hung there proudly.
“Those are beautiful,” I told her lightly. Abby held my hand as she looked around, really wanting to play with the toys but I held her close to me.
Ruby stopped and turned around to see what we were looking at and she gave a small smile, “Thanks,” She said and went into the back, hearing light talking. Abby tucked on my shirt and she pointed into the living room and I looked and saw a little girl standing there with her thumb in her mouth and a little teddy bear in her arms. Her dirty blond hair fell in her face as her green eyes looked at me and her and soon, they started to well up. I pulled Abby close to me as the little girl started to cry.
Ruby came running from the back up to the living room and grabbed the little girl and held her close, “It’s alright princess, shhh,” I was startled to see this actually. Was Ruby a mother? Abby looked up to me and I just shrugged, not really sure what was going on.
“Hey,” I heard a voice. I looked towards the hallway to the back and saw this guy coming inside, him looking strangely familiar. The longer I looked at him, the more familiar he looked.
“James?” The man questioned. I smiled brightly and came and hugged the man. He was the owner of the tattoo parlor I go and get my tattoos from. I didn’t know he and Ruby were together, let alone him having a daughter.
“Hey man, what’s up?” He asked me with a bright smile on his face, “Sorry to hear about Brian’s death,” He said, his smile fading. I looked down to my feet giving a small nod and Ruby came and stepped beside him.
“Hey no sad talk, miss Lisa doesn’t need to hear that,” She smiled and kissed the little girls temple who buried her face into Ruby’s neck. Abby smiled up at Ruby and took a step forward.
“Hi,” She said lightly. Ruby came down onto a knee and set the little girl on her lap, telling her that it was alright, that Abby wanted to be her friend. Lisa looked away from Ruby down to Abby and gave a small smile and slowly came off of Ruby’s lap, just standing there looking at Abby not sure what to do.
“It’s ok,” Abby said gently, letting her hand lightly touch Lisa’s. Lisa flinched and held her bear closer to her but slowly, she was able to let Abby hold her hand and they went and played with toys. Abby being gentle and kind to Lisa and before long, Lisa was opening up to her.
“Their so adorable,” Ruby said standing. I looked to her and the owner of the tattoo shop, Mitch, seeing him pull her to him, his arm slipping around her waist as he kissed her temple. They were seeing one another and it made my heart sink.
Time passed, us adults in the kitchen talking. Ruby had left out of Elly’s home, whom I still didn’t really know who that person was and Mitch gave her a place to stay with him and Ruby and him were seeing one another and Lisa adored her.
“Well,” I said standing, “Better get home and get Abby some dinner,” I said lightly. Ruby stood, giving Mitch a gentle kiss. Why was it when I started to like someone they always were with someone else? I hate this.
“I am going to stay the night to help Abby, I will meet you at work baby,” She smiled at him. He smiled brightly up at her and kissed her again. I turned away and went over to Lisa and Abby and knelt down.
“Time to go princess,” I said lightly caressing her arm.
“But uncle Shimmy!” She whined, “We were just getting the tea party set up,” she pouted.
“Aw baby girl, we can come and see Lisa tomorrow, how about that?” I asked her. The brightness in her eyes made my heart flip. I did something right for this little girl.
She happily agreed and hugged her best friend while Ruby came out to the car with a backpack or her things, giving Mitch a kiss good-bye and I waved at him, wondering why I always like the taken girl.

No no no, not deleting please. It's not that bad, that it has to be deleted. Really not! Yeah you're right. F.ex. the marriage thing.. this just came out of the blue. One chapter before Jimmy was like mad at her and really disappointed and then bam everything's fine again and he proposes but the two weren't really together before. Just a bit strange. But I loved the beginning, it was amazing with Jimmy and Ruby how they just connected without knowing each other. Very cool :D

@Miss_Vengeance_6661

it was :) its like I had the beginning and somewhat of the middle and im like screw it! im done with you! I didn't want to give up on it so easily I don't want to delete anymore stories but to be honest, I think this one is worth giving up XD

I think you can feel it when an author just kinda hates his/her own story :/ but I can understand if it's like that and you just wanna end it. Sometimes that's just really sad.. but hey that's all up to the one who writes it, so in this case, you :D No problem! I thought it's better to just be honest :)

@Miss_Vengeance_6661

Hey sorry for not commenting here for a while.:/ So my review kinda thing: the beginning and beginning part of the middle were great and the rest really started to get worse :/ Some things are just seeming so off and out of the blue. I'm sorry but I just want to help you by telling you my opinion :)
