Chapter 5
"I'm going to take a shower." he said as he got up off the bed and stretched.
He went over to the dresser and pulled out a pair of dark colored pajama pants and headed to the bathroom that was connected to the room and shut the door. i heard the water turn on and i remember my phone. I urgently searched my pockets and finally found it. There were five missed calls and like ten texts. All the texts from Sam. Two calls from Sam and the rest from my boss, Alec.
Hey, guess ur dead. Lol. See u tomorrow.
Hey, Where are u? Ur shift started like 20 mins ago?
Cat, Where the hell are u? Alec's gettin pissed.
OMG CAT!! WHERE THE FUCK R U???? U didn't show for work and i went by ur place and u didn't answer. CALL ME!!
I sighed and hit reply and started typing.
Hey Sam, I'm ok. I think. I'll call u whe...
"What ya doing?"
He startled me and i shoved my phone back in my pocket. He laughed and went over to the table next to the couch and lit up a cigarette.
" you shouldn't smoke you know?"
He smiled and sat down on the couch.
"And why's that?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Because...because they'll kill you."
He snorted. "Doubt that."
"Umm...why?" i asked curiously. Somehow i thought i already knew the answer but i couldn't bring myself to say it or even think it.
His face got serious and he took another drag off of his cigarette. He looked at me for a moment and then put out his cigarette out. Putting his hands behind his head, he smiled at me again. I couldn't help but stare at his chest as he stretched his arms above his head. He smiled and i quickly looked away and i knew my face was once again red with embarrassment.
"What?"
"Nothing." i mumbled.
He got up and his pants seemed to hang a little lower.
"You know, you don't have to be embarrassed." He said laying on side side facing me.
I shrugged and looked at him. I got the sudden urge to kiss him. I don't know why but something about his eyes made me want him.
What am I thinking? This guy hurt you and brought you here and obviously has no intent to take you home.
We starred at each other for a long time before i did what i knew i shouldn't. I leaned over him and placed a kiss on his lips.I needed to stop but i couldn't. Something about him made me feel better, safe...wanted. He brought his hands up and cupped my face and before i knew it i was straddling his waist. Our kisses got more intense as he sat up and ran his hands under the back of my shirt and let his cool hands rest on the small of my back. His tongue grazed my bottom lip and I let him in, His tongue fought for dominance against mine and he won. He flipped me over on my back and his hands went to my hair and pulled roughly. His lips left mine and trailed down my neck to my shoulder. I gasped as he bit lightly. Memories flooded my head and i remembered the last time he bit me. my eyes flew open as i felt gentle pinpricks in the crook of my neck.
"Please..." I mumbled.
He pulled away and licked the wound. He hovered over me. I gasped as i saw his blood dripping with blood. MY blood! Two sharp teeth were there that weren't there before. Fangs. It couldn't be.
Tears filled my eyes as my head spinned.
"What are you?" i managed to get out.
He smiled a toothy grin and said, " You know...So say it."
"You..You're.. a.vampire." I mumbled as i drifted into unconsciousness.
