My eyes fluttered open and I stared at the ceiling. I yawned and decided to sit up. A familiar weakness washed over me. I looked beside me and it was empty. So was the couch. My eyes shot to the door when I heard someone on the other side of it.
He walked in with a plate of food and a glass of orange juice.
“Hey, good morning,” he smiled handing me the plate.
“I thought you might be hungry."
I scarfed the eggs and toast he made me and downed the oj.
He sat on the end of the bed and watched me.
I sat down the plate and glass and looked at him. He just smiled.
“Thank you.” I smiled back.
He got up and walked over the dresser and striped off his shirt. I couldn’t help but stare at him once again. His perfect shoulders I wanted to hang onto, his perfect muscular back I want to drag my nails down, and hit perfect little…
“It’s not polite to stare ya know?” He laughed, pulling on a clean shirt.
“Sorry.” I blushed, looking down at my lap.
“It’s ok I guess because I watch you in your sleep.”
My head shot up.
“What?”
“I watched you while you were sleeping.”
If he wasn’t a creep before, he surely is now. i thought.
“You’re cute when you sleep. You talk too.”
“No I don’t.”
“Yes you do.”
“I do not. I have never talked in my sleep.”
“How do you know? You’re asleep when you do it?”
Smart ass…
“Whatever.” I mumbled.
We sat in silence. We seemed to do that a lot.
“I have a question.” I spoke quietly.
“What?”
“What’s your name?”
“Brian.”
“Where are you from?”
“Right here.”
“Are…I mean…you..” I stumbled over my words.
He starred at me.
“Are you really a…vampire?”
“Yes, I am.”
“I don’t believe you.”
He laughed.
“ What? You think I’m just some psycho who likes to drink pretty girl’s blood?”
I was silent. Then suddenly I was on my back and Brian was hovering over me.
“You don’t believe me huh?” he questioned as I could see in his open mouth that he canines where elongated. My eyes widen and he smiled.
“Believe me now?”
I nodded.
“Please don’t hurt me again.”
He eyes softened and his long teeth retracted and he sat up. I sat up trying to catch my breath.
“I won’t anymore until I ask and you say it’s ok.”
I looked into his eyes and nodded.
Silence again as he starred at me and I looked down, blushing. I felt the bed shift as he leaned closer; his face very close to mine.
“You’re cute when you blush.” He smiled, his hand resting on my cheek as he leaned in further until his lips touched mine.
I pulled away and he sat back and there we sat again, in silence.
“Umm..i have another question.”
He starred at me waiting for my to speak.
“could I take a shower?
He smiled, “Yeah, let me get you something to wear.”
He got up and walked over to the dresser pulling out a t shirt and dark sweatpants as I made my way into the bathroom. He followed me and placed the clothes on the counter, then going to the small closet that was there and pulling out a fresh towel.
“Thank you.” I smiled up at him.
Out bodies were close. So close I’m sure he could feel my heart beating in my chest. I was up against the wall now and he pinned me there with his own body.
He leaned down and kissed me yet again. Then I did what I knew I shouldn’t do and wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him as close as he could get to my body. I sighed at the feeling of our lips moving together and his cool hands on my hips. The kiss got more intense and I knew where this was headed but at the moment I didn’t care. As long as I was kissing him and in his arms nothing else mattered.

I quickly came to my senses and pulled away, breathless. He starred into my eyes.
“I’m sorry.” He spoke quietly.
I said nothing and he walked out of the bathroom shutting the door behind him, leaving me to my thoughts.
