The Party.
Vanessa's POV*
I know I shouldn't have ignored Zacky, but I felt so dumb. Tonight, if he's at the party I'll talk to him and apologise for blowing him off. He at least deserved an explanation for why I jumped out the car so fast.
I got home around 6 after setting up my Guitar room at work. Val told me the party was starting at 8, so I had time to kill and get ready. I didn't know what to wear though. There was so many choices. I had a mini black dress that was sleeveless, some leather leggings and flowy red top, and there was the one outfit I had been saving for a special day. None of them fitted tonights mood so I went for a blue body hugging dress that matched my eyes. I curled my hair then softly brushed it out for a wavy look.
Once I was finished getting ready I followed the directions Val gave me to Michelle's and Brian's house. It was a big house, but not too extravagant. I'm guessing that was Brian's choosing cause he never really went too overboard with anything. I parked my car on the street and started heading towards the doors.
Michelle answered the door. " Vanessa! I'm so glad you could make it. I told Val to make sure she invited you." She pulled me into a hug almost as if we've known each other for years. I felt welcomed which eased my mood. She showed me around an introduced me to some of her friends. There was a caterer with wine so I grabbed me a glass and set out to find the guys.
In the backyard by the pool is where they were standing. Probably because there was a bar there. Go figure. The guys always had to have beer and liquor. I walked over to them and gave them all hugs. Leaving Zacky last.
"Hey Zacky, I'm really sorry for last night and all day today. I felt so stupid, so I was scared to talk to you." I admitted.
"Don't worry about it Nessa. It was my fault. I should've told you a long time ago. So I'm sorry for the way you found out." He said.
" So were good?" I asked with a smile. He nodded and then I heard someone call his name and he looked disgusted.
" Zacky Baker! Why the fuck did you hang up on me?!" The blonde girl yelled.
" Fuck Gena, if you would stop bitching at me for everything I would've stayed on the phone. But no even after we break up you still manage to fucking irritate me." Zack said to her.
"Well excuse me for wanting to see how you were!" She pouted
" No Gena, you just wanted to see if I moved on. And if I would give you money. Stop making a scene here. You're lucky that Michelle is friends with you or else you wouldn't even be here. Now leave me the fuck alone." Zack said then disappeared into the house.
The blonde chick, Gena, just shot me a dirty look and walked away. I didn't even do anything to her. I tried to see if I could spot Zacky but no luck. I've never seen him like that. I looked at the guys but they acted as if this was normal.
"I'm going to go find him." I told them as I walked away. The house was big but I searched everywhere for him. Still no sight, so I decided to look in the front. There sitting on the curb was an upset Zack with a bottle of beer. When I approached him I sat down next to him.
He looked up at me and said, "Nessa, what do you say we get out of here?"
I shook my head yes and he grabbed my hand leading me to his car.
