Vanessa's POV*

" I... I am so sorry Zack. I didn't mean to just... Fuck, I got to go." I was barely able to say. I jumped out of the car as soon as I could. I felt embarrassed, he just told me he "had" -past tense - feelings for me. But no, my hormonal self took that as a "kiss him for crying out loud." I probably just ruined our friendship. Good job Vee. Desperately, I wanted this night to be over. As soon as I got inside I just fell onto my bed. Maybe this was a dream and tomorrow I'd wake up, go to work and continue like this didn't just happen.

After 20 minutes of arguing the thought of it being a dream, I drifted off to sleep...

Zacky's POV*

I was completely taken back by Nessa's kiss. I never expected her to react like that. She never gave off a hint that she liked me when we were younger. Maybe it was just an in the moment thing. I shouldn't have told her like that. Now, things were all messed up. I didn't even get a chance to talk about it. She jumped out so quickly. Way to go Zack, you know how to fuck things up. I hope shes okay though. Oh man though! That girl can kiss!

I didn't want to go home, so I decided that I'm going to go get Brian's opinion on the situation. When I arrived at Brian's and Michelle's, they were already outside accompanied by Matt, Val and Jimmy. They were the closest to Nessa when we were younger so maybe they could help too.

" Zacky V, Ladies and gentlemen." I heard Jimmy announce as soon as I got out of my car.

"What's up guys?!" I smiled trying to look as if I didn't have anything bothering me. I saw Matt look at me then whispered to Brian, then said, " Zack, what's with the guilty look dude?" Fuck. That was a fail. "It's Vanessa."

"What did you do to my new girl Zack?" Val said seemjng a bit upset.

" I didn't do anything but tell her I had feelings for her. She kissed me. Said sorry. And ran out of my car." I looked down saying the last part. I felt bad.

" Shit! Guy talk. Val and Chelle, can you give us a minute to talk to Zack?" Matt said asking his girlfriend.

" Fine. But he better not hurt her, you guys are in the store all the time. I don't want her feeling uncomfortable!" She shot me a dirty look and headed inside with her sister.

" What the fuck Vengeance?! Why did you do that? She just fucking got here." Matt yelled.

" Yeah Zack, I mean I know you've always liked her man but you can't just spring that in the girl like that." Brian said agreeing with Matt.

"I think its great!" Said Jimmy.

" Look, I realized I shouldn't have told her like that but my mom kind of threw me under a bus without realizing it. You think I wanted that to happen?" I said hoping the guys would hear me out a bit. " I wanted to gradually see where me and her could go. I'm still dealing with Gena's bullshit anyways. I don't want to drag Nessa into that." I grabbed a beer out of tge cooler by Brian and chugged it. I was so frustrated with myself and the guys weren't helping.

As if I wasn't already stressed enough, my phone started to ring. It was Gena...


Vanessa's POV*

I didn't set an alarn for the morning so I woke up kind of late. It was already 11 and I had to be at work by 1. I got up and quickly took a shower. I had almost forgot last night happened till I went to check my phone and seen a text from Zacky.

" Hey Nessa, Im really sorry for springing that on you. I hope you aren't mad at me - Zacky V"

Honestly, I didn't want to respond. I felt so stupid. I just wanted to get through work stress free. I was finished getting ready so I headed to work a little early. When I got into Val's office Matt was in there.

" Hey guys!' I said awkwardly. Matt said hi and then bye right after as he left. He looked upset. I wonder if they were arguing. " Are you alright Val?" I asked her.

" Yeah, just stressed out about my sisters engagement party tonight. I have to head over there right after work and set up everything."

" Well I could help when I'm done here, if you'd like?"

" No it's fine. But you can definitely come tonight !" She said excitedly. She seemed so bubbly. I had a feeling we would be close though. We went over my schedule and then she left me to personalize my area. I can tell I'm going to love working here.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket. So I pulled it out to see who texted. As soon as I saw it was Zack. I turned off my phone. I'm just not ready to talk about it.
