Zacky's POV*

Nessa struggled to answer when I asked her to be my date tonight so I just took it as a yes. She looked like she was going to say yes anyways. As soon as I left her apartment I began speeding home, flooded with thoughts. I had forgotten my family was coming to L.A today, so when they called me while Nessa was in the bathroom, I told them we should go out to dinner. Its been a long time since my family has seen her so I figured she'd love it. Not to mention, my mom loved Nessa. I remember the night my mom made dinner for the gang and I. When she saw Nessa, she pulled me aside and said, " Now Zachary, you see that girl right there? She's pretty isn't she? And she's sweet too! Thats the kind of girl I hope to see you with someday." She smiled and then pinched my cheek. I wasn't as much of a momma's boy as my little brother Matt but when my mom said something I always took it in to consideration. I decided to call my mom and tell her I was bringing a date with me.

" Who is she?" She began asking. My mom loved Gena when I was with her but after the split my mom didn't like how I still paid for her. And I didn't either but that was my future Mrs. Baker.

" Don't worry Mom. This ones a good one. She's not my girlfriend though. But hopefully one day so don't scare her away Mom." I laughed and she told me not to be late then said goodbye. It was true though, I'm mature now so I think I could actually be with Nessa someday.

I finished getting ready but is was still a half hour early. I called Nessa and asked her if she was ready so I could go early.

" As a matter of fact, I just finished getting ready." She giggled. " You are more than welcome to head over."

" I'll be there in five!" I hung up and headed over there.


Vanessa's POV*

Zack was finished getting ready early so he called me and asked if he could come over. I didn't mind. I was just about finished too. He didn't even tell me where we were going so I jut wore a casual dress and light make-up. Part of me still could not believe he asked me to he his date. Maybe it was just a double date thing and he had no one else to bring. I didn't want to get my hopes up about actually having a thing with him. Besides I don't think he would date me anyways. Yeah, we have been flirting here and there but I'm sure thats just how he is. He is a rockstar for crying out loud. My thoughts were interrupted by a knock at my door and my cellphone ringing.

"Hello?" I said answering my phone as I went to let Zack in.

" Vanessa? It's Valerie. I was just calling to let you know to come in tomorrow around 1 so we can set up your schedule. Is that fine?"

" Most definitely! I'll see you tomorrow." I hung up and went to give Zack a hug. His casual look was cute he wore a cardigan and glasses with his hair combed up. Simple, yet gorgeous. Every time I see him I gain feelings for him again. He just gives off an amazing vibe.

" You ready to go Nessa? We're meeting up with my family at this new restaurant in Hollywood. And my mom told me to not be late." He laughed looking at his watch then scratching the back of his head.

" Yeah, I'm ready to go! I'm starving too!" I said giggling. I was feeling nervous. He was taking me to dinner with his family. To me thats a big deal. He escorted me to the car and we went headed to the restaurant. When we got there I was instantly wrapped into Zack's mothers arms. She remembered me! I felt welcomed. The restaurant was gorgeous, and the food was unbelievable. We sat and chatted with Zack's parents. Well, me with his mom and him with his dad. Every now and then I noticed Zack look at me then look away whenever I noticed. His parents had to drive back to Huntington tonight so we wrapped dinner up at 9.

" Zachary, don't let this girl go again." Zack's mom said as she hugged me. What did she mean by again? I looked to Zack to get some clarification but he mouthed the words " I'll explain later."

The car ride home was silent, and I anxiously wanted to know what his mom meant by that. Finally, we got back to apartment and as I was about to get out he stopped me.

" I never told you this back when we were younger, but I had feelings for you. I didn't act on them then though cause I was being immature and just wanted to be a rockstar." He said to me and my jaw just dropped. He was looking down at his hands when all of a sudden I grabbed his face and pressed my lips to his.

He just told me he used to have feelings for me, and I took that as an opportunity to kiss him.
