Chapter 7: We Are Only Just Beginning
Zack's P.O.V
I walked in the front door and into the living room with the sushi that I bought us for lunch and Erin was sitting on the couch just staring at the wall which concerned me. I walked over to her and she instantaneously put her head onto my chest.
"Are you okay Erin?" I asked her. She pulled herself up.
"Brian's dad came back while you were gone" She said and I quickly grabbed her cheek.
"He didn't hurt you did he; tell me what happened" I asked her and then realized that she was holding her arm tightly. I moved her hand and heard her gasp in pain. There was a red/purple bruise on her arm that was in the shape of Papa Gates hand. I pulled my phone out of my pocket and texted Gates.
*Syn get over to Erin's now; I will explain when you get here* I sent the text and then hugged her and waited for Brian to get here. Ten minutes later he walked through the door and sat down on the coffee table across from Erin.
"What the hell happened?" Brian asked the two of us.
Erin's P.O.V
"Your father paid me a visit a little while ago; left me with this lovely bruise on my arm and a little smidgen of information that he let me remember" I said getting a little pissed off.
"What information did you remember?" Brian asked completely disregarding the fact that his father left me with a huge fucking bruise that was killing me.
"Alright; well let me just tell you what happened while he was here. I wake up and took a shower and did my normal routine and when I got downstairs I realized that I was alone; that is until I got to the dining room table where your father was sitting. He told me that he isn't a bad guy and basically told me that I should be focusing on Jake because he is coming while causing this bruise. Then he moved on to telling me that my blood is marvelous and that next time I sleep with Zack I should give him a taste. He said that if I needed him that I could call him and that you would say that he is a last resort; finally he told me that after he left the house I would remember a small piece of information" I said trying to calm down since it was really hard to talk about all this. I looked at Zack and his eyes were really wide.
"Wait so why did he say next time you slept with Zack?" Brian asked and I blushed and smiled looking down and the floor.
"Because we slept together last night Brian so get over it" Zack said with a hint of amusement
in his voice.
"Well okay then; what did you remember Erin?" Brian asked me making me look at him.
"I just remember that I was blacked out and I heard some guy talking with your father saying that I needed to be detained and that I held the key to all...the light...the darkness. And then your father said that I am much more than that and that I will know nothing of whatever it was they were talking about or that I was in the underworld with him. Finally he said that it was a shame about my parents" I said and then took a deep breath. Zack put his arm around me and rubbed my shoulders. I heard Zack's phone ring and he took it outside.
"So what is going on between Zacky?" Brian asked me.
"Well obviously you know we slept together; it hasn't really been defined yet. There is a connection between us but I have no idea what to call what we are or what this is." I said shrugging and then went to grab a beer.
"Do you want a beer Brian?" I asked.
"Yeah thanks" He said and I grabbed a couple beers and went back over and sat down.
"So any ideas what is going on with me?" I asked him.
"I have no idea Erin; I wish that my dad would have given more information and I apologize for what he has done to you. He can be a real asshole sometimes" Brian said. Zack came back in and grabbed a beer and then sat down.
"So what are we going to do about the fact that we have a show tonight? The girls always go to this show with us so there won't be anyone to stay with Erin" Zack said to Brian.
"She is going to come with us; I think that would be for the best and I am pretty sure that Val and Michelle want her there" He said making me rather excited because I really loved seeing them live.
"Erin promise me that you will stay around the girls or backstage while you are there?" Zack asked me and I nodded agreeing. He smiled and then kissed me lightly.
"Alright well when you two are done with your make-out session we need to head out to the venue" Brian and said laughing. I kissed him again and then we drove off and met up with the rest of the band. They all were changing and just hanging out when Zack and I arrived and the girls bombarded me with hugs which was nice. After a solid hour we went right behind the stage and we waited until it was time for them to go on. Zack sat there strumming his guitar and smiling at me. Johnny came up behind me and poked my sides making me jump and he just laughed. All the guys kissed their girls and started walking towards the stage.
"Enjoy the show" Zack said kissing me and then catching up with the guys. The girls stood next to me and just stared into space just like I was doing. We went down right in front of the stage and watched the guys do their set. They did an encore starting with Afterlife and it went into Unholy Confessions which were two of my favorite songs. Afterwards the guys did their meet and greets so I figured that I would make a bathroom run. I had Kim with me and we were sitting there talking and laughing until I heard a odd noise and then Kim fell to the ground.
"Oh my god Kim!" I said starting to get down and help her until I heard a familiar voice.
"Stop what you are doing and get up" Jake said. I got up and turned to him. He was still really
tall, really buff and was still able to scare the hell out of me. I saw Kim open her eyes and gaze up in fear.
"Get up and run and tell the angel scum that we are back here" He said to Kim and kicked at her feet. She got up and ran. Jake grabbed my arm and swung me so that my back was against his chest.
Kim's P.O.V
"Arin!! Matt!!! Guys!!" I yelled wanting my husband and needed to help Erin as much as possible. Arin heard my thoughts and ran to me and I tripped and fell into him.
"Jake is back there he has Erin; please we need to get to them" I said trying to calm down but at this point in time that didn't seem possible. We ran to the guys.
"Guys Jake is here; he has Erin; come on" Arin yelled and they ran along with us as I led them to Erin. When we got there he had a good hold on her and knew that we were going to try and take her back.
Erin's P.O.V
I saw the whole band run towards me and then stop in their tracks when they saw that Jake had a hold of me. I heard Jakes laugh boom throughout the room.
"Wait! I know who you are!" Brian shouted.
"That's because before you joined these angels and you were actually on your father's side you worked with me" Jake said amused by everything. Brian was really angry right now. Zack moved a little closer and I saw a claw grow on one of Jakes fingers and he pressed it against my neck.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you; that is unless you want her to die" Jake said. Zack backed up a little.
"You wouldn't kill her. You need her" Matt said sternly. Jake quickly turned his head to Matt.
"Ah now I finally figure out which one of you is the leader; you are right I won't kill her but I can create a mass amount of pain for her and I don't think any of you want that; correct?" Jake said pressing the claw into my neck a little more.
"No we don't want her in pain; what is it exactly that you want from her?" Matt asked trying to negotiate and get all the answers. I sat there knowing that Jake would never reveal what he wanted with me.
"Mr. Ilejay you won't be able to read my thoughts so I suggest you give it a rest before you hurt yourself" Jake said not even bothering looking away from Matt.
"Please Jake don't do this right now; just give me a little more time" I pleaded to him. He looked down at me and he smiled.
"It is so nice hearing your voice in person Erin you are lucky that I feel the way that I do about you or else I would already have what I want. You have five days to figure everything out" Jake said.
Before he left I felt him drag his claw down the side of my neck; I felt the warm blood trickle down and when I looked in front of me there were two very strong vampires.....

Kim's P.O.V
"Arin!! Matt!!! Guys!!" I yelled wanting my husband and needed to help Erin as much as possible. Arin heard my thoughts and ran to me and I tripped and fell into him.
"Jake is back there he has Erin; please we need to get to them" I said trying to calm down but at this point in time that didn't seem possible. We ran to the guys.

Erin's P.O.V
