Chapter 34: We're Only Here To Die
Erin’s P.O.V
I was passed out after Papa Gates drinking from me. I wasn’t dreaming, it was just black until I heard a voice roaming around in my mind. I tried to wake up but it almost seemed impossible.
*”So beautiful…..” Someone whispered. “So fragile…” I heard and was really freaking out. “This is only the beginning… there will be so much more ahead… my slave” They said and I knew then that it was Papa Gates messing around in my head.*
Izzy’s P.O.V
I heard noises coming from Erin’s room and Jimmy was still passed out so I got up and went into Erin’s room. She was sweating and she looked like she was uneasy. She kept mumbling something but I had no idea what it was. Suddenly she started flipping out so I grabbed her and held her down and she opened her eyes and I just rubbed her arm.
“God you scared me; are you okay E?” I asked and got up and grabbed damp washcloth from the bathroom and wiped her forehead with it. After a few moments of silence she got up and she paced around for a moment.
“Are you are Jimmy okay being on your own here?” She asked me which confused me to high hell. I grabbed her arms and sat her down on the bed.
“Talk to me E, you can’t keep things bottled up like this” I said to her. I was really worried about her.
“Look, Papa Gates is messing with my head. I am lonely and so tired and I just want to go over and sleep in Zack’s bed like usual. I am fine” She said to me and got up and changed out of the tank top that she was sweating through.
“Are you afraid of not getting your powers back?” I asked her and she froze and after a moment turned around while changing.
“I am terrified Iz; I don’t think that will ever change. Now are you going to be fine just being with Jimmy?” She asked grabbing some clothes for the morning. I nodded and walked with her to the front door and watched her head over to Zack’s. I walked back upstairs and Jimmy was sitting up in the bed. I ran over and jumped on him and he grunted in pain and I just gasped.
“Oh my gosh I am so sorry” I said and before I knew it he pulled me into a deep kiss and then hugged me.
“Izzy I am so fucking happy to see you; I love you so so much” He said squeezing me tightly. I gazed into his eyes and smiled.
“I love you too; I thought I was going to go crazy without my husband” I said and I watched as he lit up every time I called him my husband.
Erin’s P.O.V
I walked into Zack’s house and surprisingly he was sitting at the dining room table with a glass of whiskey. He turned and saw me and I smiled and yet was almost crying.
“I couldn’t sleep without you” I said and he nearly ran to me hugging me.
“I couldn’t sleep without you either Erin” He said still holding onto me tightly.
“You mind pouring me a drink before we go to bed hot stuff?” I asked walking over to the kitchen grabbing a glass. He poured some whiskey in the cup and I sat down on the other side of the table just looking at him. It was silent for a few moments and then I smiled and laughed really hard. But; soon after he got serious.
“I think that you should marry me” He said and I almost spit out my drink.
“I’m sorry what?” I asked even though I heard exactly what he said. He smiled and he took another drink of his whiskey.
“Tomorrow morning, me and you” He said and I just smiled until I realized that Papa Gates was always watching me.
“How are we going to be able to do this with Papa Gates listening in on everything?” I asked and he smiled.
“Then we will do it now. Go over and get Izzy and Jimmy and they can marry us” He said seriously and then he motioned for me to get up and I moved and on my way to kiss him he stopped and he slipped a ring on my finger but he pushed me away towards the door too fast for me to even look at it. I ran over to my house and stopped in the living room.
“IZ! YOU NEED TO GET DOWN HERE RIGHT NOW!” I yelled and her and Jimmy both almost fell down the stairs. And just then as I moved the hair out my face Izzy ran over and stopped me.
“What is this?!” She asked with the biggest smile on her face holding my hand in my face. And there sat the ring that Zack slid on my finger. It was platinum and it held a huge emerald cut Sapphire that had little diamonds around it and I was shocked.
“I guess you are wondering why the hell I so rudely got you out of bed” I said laughing and Izzy pushed me a little.
“Hurry the hell up you crazy woman!” She said and shushed her.
“I was over there having a drink with Zack and he said that him and I should get married and that we should do it tonight and that the two of you should totally do it” I said in one huge breath and Jimmy was jumping up and down.
“Why tonight?” Izzy asked me.
“Well technically now but we need to do it since I am being watched so every second counts” I said and Izzy snapped her fingers and was dressed in this sleek black dress that had lace on the back and Jimmy was in this awesome pin stripped black suit and they both pulled me upstairs. She grabbed my phone and texted someone.
“What the hell are you two doing?” I yelled a little.
“Oh pipe down E; you don’t want you or Zack looking like shit while you get married” She said and I just laughed because she was right. She dressed me in this white dress that was silver across the stomach and made sure that my makeup was good and she pulled my hair out of the bun letting it flow around my shoulders and downs to my waist. I smiled and we left for Zacks place. When we got there he had dimmed the lights and they wouldn’t let me past the front door. I stood there waiting patiently for Jimmy to unblock the door so I could see and walk. I heard Izzy talking to Zack but I couldn’t make out what they were saying to each other. Jimmy turned around and hugged me.
“We are going to make this fast so that there is no way of stopping it, I love ya kid; you are amazing and I am so happy for you and Zack” He said and grabbed my arm and moved letting me inside. They cleared the living room really fast and I walked over to Zack and we held hands.
“Love is” Jimmy said but Izzy put her hand on his mouth making him stop.
“Sorry Jim-Jam but this is mine” She said and he smiled as she dropped her hand.
“The two of you have been through a lot but there is always one thing that pulls you through… Love. You are bestfriends, lovers and two of the greatest people I have ever met. Zack; do you promise to keep Erin safe, love her and be her bestfriend and shield her from whatever tries to come in between the two of you?” Izzy asked turning to Zack and giving him a diamond encrusted band to put on my finger. He smiled and slid it on.
“I do” He said and I felt weak at the knees.
“Erin do you promise to keep Zack safe, love him and be his bestfriend and shield him from whatever tries to come in between the two of you?” She asked me and Jimmy handed me this silver band with a few black diamonds on it. I slid it on his finger and smiled.
“I do” I said and it was silent for a moment.
“By the power vested by Jim-Jam and I we now pronounce you husband and wife…. And eternally bound. Zack you many kiss your sexy bride” She said making us laugh and Zack dipped me and kissed me. He left light kisses on my lips and we pulled away and smiled. I hugged Iz and for the first time in a long time she was crying.
“I love you so much E!” She said holding me tightly. The floor started to shake and we heard the wind pick up outside and then there was a huge booming noise that knocked us all on our asses. The front door blew open flying off the hinges and Papa Gates stormed in and grabbed me by my leg and threw me against the wall.
“You little bitch” He said and I lied there and I saw Jimmy and Izzy run at him and he sent a huge fire bomb towards the ground sending both of them backwards. He turned to me and looked at me evilly and then picked me up and had my back against him. He cut his wrist and put it to my mouth and he bit me not caring how much it hurt. Zack came at him and kicked him off and one of Papa Gates fangs tore down the side of my neck and I felt myself growing cold like so many times before…….
But he made me drink his blood.
Papa Gates disappeared and I lied there in my wedding dress dying in Zack’s arms bound to become something I never wanted to become…..
