Chapter 35: Dear God
Erin’s P.O.V
I lied there on Zack’s lap trying to recover and put my hand on my neck and got up trying to keep balance. I ran into the kitchen and grabbed a washcloth and put it on there for a moment. I was suddenly enraged. Everyone stared and me and I ran outside despite the fact that I was bleeding.
“GET THE FUCK BACK HERE PAPA GATES! YOU RUINED MY FUCKING DRESS!” I yelled as loud as I could. My dress was getting caught under my feet so I picked up my dress and stood there tapping my foot waiting. Izzy came running over to me trying to get me to come back inside. I shoved her off.
“Don’t! GATES GET BACK HERE YOU OLD FUCKING FOOL! YOU WANT ME? COME AND FUCKING GET ME” I yelled again and he appeared again and was surprised that I wasn’t dead.
“Well aren’t you just a trooper” He said and I walked towards him. He stood there and he looked at my neck. I punched him really hard upwards and he fell backwards because he was taken off guard I got on top of him and kept hitting him.
“Do you have the knife with you?” I asked and felt around and grabbed the knife and ran and stood with it pointing towards me. He shot up and threw up his hands and slowly moved towards me.
“You realize that it’s not all of your powers right?” He asked and I backed up again.
“What part is it?” I asked fiercely and then grabbed a pocket knife out of the side of my dress and held it against my wrist and everyone stood still.
“What are you doing!” Zack yelled and I stopped him.
“Which is it?” I asked giving him one more chance raising my eyebrows.
“GOD DAMNIT IT IS THE ANGEL SIDE” He said and I backed up and then ran inside and upstairs. I mentally prepared myself and then shoved the blade in my stomach and I felt warmth and then Zack ran upstairs and I smiled and reached up for his hand.
“I love you Mr. Baker” I said and he kissed me despite the blood and I fell in his arms.
“And I love you Mrs. Baker… See you soon my love” He said and I died… Again.
Izzy’s P.O.V
I ran away and upstairs and saw Zack sitting on the bed. Erin wasn’t breathing or moving; from the looks of it she was dead. I was worried but when I saw how calm Zack was I knew that she made her way to heaven. I walked over and rubbed his back.
“She is dead” I said and walked over to the other side of the bed and sat down holding Erin’s hand.
“Yeah, but luckily I know that she will be back; we should get her cleaned up before she enters her body again. God I missed the way she looked as an angel” He said softly and got up grabbing a washcloth. He handed me one and we cleaned her up. She was already starting to heal a little which was a sign that she made it to Heaven. Her sister was most likely going to guide her back. Jimmy walked in and frowned seeing her frail body on the bed.
“Would you mind if” Jimmy started saying and he before he could finish I answered him.
“Please. I really want her to know that we are here for her” I said and he smiled and nodded. Zack stopped him.
“I am lost; what are you going to do” He asked.
“I am going to be the one to guide her back so she is safe” Jimmy said and Zack hugged him and nodded and in a flash my husband was gone and we continued our business.
Erin’s P.O.V
I was sitting in Sarah’s new office and she smiled at me while she went through her file system on the computer.
“Does it feel good to be back to normal?” She asked and I smiled and leaned back in the plush white chair.
“Oh god yeah; I feel alive and just powerful” I said and we heard a knock at the door. We both shot up when Jimmy came through. He ran over and hugged me tightly.
“I am so happy that you are safe Erin; Sarah do you mind if I am the one who guides her back?” He asked and Sarah happily gave him my file and hugged him.
“Room number 5,637 is the room that you will go to before you enter your body again. Do you accept the powers and all the responsibilities that come with them Erin?” She asked which was procedure for any angel getting their powers and wings back.
“I do” I said and exited the chambers with Jimmy. He snapped his fingers and we teleported to the room which is one of the best things about Jimmy. He opened the door and it was my bedroom and my body was on the bed.
“The wounds healed well; I just got word that Izzy and Zack went to his place so that you can readjust to everything for a few minutes” He said and walked over to my body and stroked the hair on my head. He made me feel at ease and happy and just warm.
“Thank you for everything Jimmy” I said and put my hand on my body right where my heart was and held my hand out to Jimmy. He grasped my hand and everything went hazy….. I opened my eyes and I was breathing heavily…. I was back in my body. I took a moment and my eyes adjusted and I took in a really deep breath and looked down at my dress. I got up and stripped it off. I walked into the bathroom and once again my skin glowed. I put some water on it and made sure that I felt fully functional. I came out and grabbed some dark denim jeans along with a black tank top. I threw some black sandals on and when I got downstairs Jimmy was waiting for me. I ran to him and hugged him tightly.
“You look amazing!” He said and spun me around and then set me down. I sat there for a moment and I flashed him a big smile again and ran out the door and over to Zack’s house and through the blasted off door and didn’t see Zack so I jumped Izzy after seeing her pacing in the living room. After tackling her I heard the shower and ran upstairs. I shut his bedroom door behind me and stripped my clothes off and crept into the bathroom. He was taking in the warm water and I opened the glass door and stepped in behind him and wrapped my arms around him moving my hands up his chest and he put his hands on mine playing with my rings a little. He turned around and he kissed me deeply.
“It is so fucking good having you back in my arms” He said and pushed me up against the wall touching every part of my body roughly.
I was on my way back to grace…
I was so happy to be me again… my angel self…
