Zack’s P.O.V

It had been only a few days since Erin remembered a few of her traits and her eyes were shining brighter than usual. She was stunning and her skin glowed and her smile was as bright as the sun that left me breathless. I decided that she and I needed an afternoon to ourselves so I took her to this secluded beach area. She was wearing this white maxi dressed and her hair was a golden brown that was gorgeous in the sun. I smiled watching her standing with her feet in the water. She came over and smiled wanting me to play with her.

“Come dip your toes in the water with me!” She said and I of course agreed. I kicked off my shoes and stood in the water behind her wrapping myself around her feeling her warm skin. I could feel her; she felt safe and secure and she was blissful despite knowing that we were going to be at war soon which made me feel at ease.

“So I want to ask you something” I said to her. She turned around and wrapped her arms around my neck gazing me right in my eyes.

“Anything” She said.

“Are we exclusive? I know that we have slept together but I didn’t really know what to define this as; I just want to know what we are before we go to battle. I love you and I want you to be mine just in case we both die together” I said and I could see and feel that she was searching for an answer and that she felt nervous right now.

“I want to be with you; as your girlfriend if that is what you mean” She said making me feel relief. I knew she could feel it because after she kissed me deeply. This was the perfect day or so I thought….

Erin’s P.O.V

I kissed him deeply with love because I felt so much for him. I could feel his relief that I agreed to be with him. But out of nowhere we were ripped apart from each other; I got up from the sand and looked over and saw Jake standing over Zack with a knife pointed towards his neck. I ran over towards Jake and was stopped when I felt a sudden pain in my stomach. I looked to my side and saw Meaghan and moved my head down and saw that she had stabbed me. She pulled my hair bringing my head back and pulled the knife out. I sat there and tried to focus on being near Zack but she stabbed me again.

“Oh my dear; you aren’t going to be able to teleport with this knife in you” She said smiling and laughing. She turned the knife a little and I grabbed at her hands but wasn’t strong enough to remove her hands or the knife. I sat there trying to endure as much of the pain as I could but it was really hard to even think at the moment.

“We had a deal” I said loudly not being able to look at anyone with Meaghan holding my head so far back.

“I am here on my visiting rights Erin; I also have orders right now. I was told that you and Baker get to make a difficult choice today” He said making me feel a little confused. I felt Meaghan break the knife in my stomach and let go of me making me drop to my knees. Meaghan took over what Jake was doing and they were talking but I was really out of it and I fell backwards almost lifeless.

“Erin just breathe baby I promise that you will be okay” I heard Zack yell. I heard footsteps and Jake came over to me and put me on his lap making sure that my back was resting on his chest. He grabbed my chin and forced me to look at Zack and Meaghan.

“So I take it from the actions from a few days ago you know that he is a vampire and you most certainly know that I am a vampire” Jake said and rubbed down my hand while watching Zack’s reaction; his hand kept trailing down with his hand and ripped the side of my dress showing the side of my leg and he put his hand inside my dress making me move a little.

“Isn’t she really good in bed Mr. Vengeance; since she is the way she is, she is a virgin all the time. I love her as well as you just like Meaghan loves you. But I guess everything happens for a reason. What happens though if I do this?” He asked Zack and then he moved my head and kissed me deeply making me gasp for air even more because I had no want to return the kiss. I saw Zack try to get up but Meaghan kicked him back down.

“Calm down Zack she will be fine” She said. Zack looked really angry.

“Go to hell” I said to Jake as I sat there trying to hold on for as long as I could. Jake shook me a little making me groan in pain even more.

“Hey stay awake you little bitch; don’t worry we will be getting to our orders very soon” Jake said to me.

“Now; Zack, how much do you love Erin?” He asked Zack and then grabbed another knife from his pocket and shoved it in my back and I screamed.

“Please stop; you are killing her” Zack said starting to cry out of fear and anger. I could feel him which didn’t help at all.

“Let him come over here so that I can tell him what is going to happen” Jake said to Meaghan and she let him up and Jake moved letting Zack hold me on his lap. He sat there for a moment unaware of everything until he touched my stomach and brought his hand up smelling the blood. Jake sat there laughing.

“Do what you want with her Zack; but this is going to be a test to see how much you love her” Jake said to Zack and he grabbed Meaghan’s waist and they were gone in an instant. I sat there crying.

“Get the blade out; get it out please” I said as he rubbed my hair. He dug into my stomach and grabbed the blade that was broken off and I tried to teleport and heal but it wasn’t working. I sat there trying so hard for it to work.

“I can’t; it’s not working! Damnit I am gonna die. I am so sorry that I dragged you into this” I said grabbing at his arm.

“Do you trust me” He said looking down at me while rubbing my hair roughly. I had no way of thinking so I was unsure of what he was going to do.

“Yes” I said growing colder; I was fading.

“This will hurt but I swear I love you and I will see you again” He said and kissed me deeply. He grabbed the blade that he dug out of me and slit is wrist and put it to my mouth and continued to comfort me.

“Drink it please” He said and I followed his orders. He pulled away and I saw that he was healed already I sat there still fading trying to breath and he moved my head to the side. He looked down at me crying.

“I love you. Just do it” I said softly and he kissed me and snapped into my neck. After a moment he stopped and lied me down in the sand and gazed into my eyes and I smiled at him a little bit. It was silent and I could see him mouth I love you and just like that I was out of my body….

I could see my body and Zack and I watched myself…..watched myself take my last breath…….watched Zack cry and pick me up bridal style…..I followed him all the way back to the neighborhood.

Everyone rushed out to see Zack….his mouth covered in my blood….his hands covered in my blood.

I was set down on the concrete and everyone just looked at me crying and trying to take in the loss….

Matt’s P.O.V

We all ran out of my house as we saw Zack get out of his car covered in blood. We were shocked when we saw him pull Erin out of the car…She was dead…and Zack was covered in her blood. I walked over to him rubbing his back as he cried.

“What the hell happened Zack” I asked him trying to figure out this whole situation.

Zack's P.O.V

“Choices needed to be made” I said.

I knew that somehow Erin could see what was happening…watching all of us mourn the loss of her…

But she will be back and when she is back….we will have our Vengeance….

So Erin has a weakness!! And Zack had to make a choice!
