Madi’s P.O.V
When I woke up, someone was holding my hand tightly. It also sounded like they were crying, I don’t know though, my eyes are still closed. I feel so weak and tired. I turned my head towards the sound and slowly opened my eyes, I saw it was Brian and went to speak quietly. “Brian,” It came out raspy, but he looked up as did a few other people who were in the room. He let out a huge sigh of relief before pulling me into a hug while being careful of the various wires that seemed to be coming from my body.

“I thought you weren’t gonna wake up,” He stated quietly as tears streaked down his cheeks. I returned his hug resting my head on his shoulder. I wiped his tears away gently before kissing his cheek lightly.

“I’m sorry I scared you,” I whispered. He nodded as I kept my head on his shoulder as a nurse walked in.

“Good to see that you’re awake,” She stated warmly. I smiled weakly as she checked my stats before speaking up again. “I am going to get the doctor to come in, and then he can tell you when you can go home, okay?” I nodded as she walked out smiling. When the doctor walked in, he began to check the machines and look over my stats as well. He then spoke up.

“I’m Dr. Smith. And we’re gonna take out your stitches today and then you can go home. But you need to take it easy,” He stated as I nodded. “I’m sure your fiancé will make sure of that,” He stated as he glanced at Zacky. I nodded even though I was really confused. I yawned before he brought me the paper work while shooing everyone out so he could remove my stitches. After he was done and I signed the papers, Val came in and handed me some clothes to change into. I smiled at her thankfully as she helped me get to the bathroom. After I had changed, I used crutches to help myself out. The one thing they had forgotten to tell Zacky was that they had to operate on my knee. I have to wear a brace for a few months.

I hobbled my way out to the waiting group. “Can we go now?” They nodded as my thoughts went to my dad.

Why isn’t he here? Doesn’t he care? Why isn’t this shocking me like it should be? I should have known he wouldn’t come.

Brian walked next to me as we headed out for a car. Brian, Zack, Jimmy and I ended up taking Zack’s car, I got to sit in the front so I could stretch out my knee. I buckled my seatbelt and stared out the window as Zacky started his car. I let my mind lead me elsewhere. I closed my eyes and tried to remember what happened when Brian was driving.

I had laughed at something Brian had said and looked out the window. What I saw scared me slightly, the car had tinted windows, and I couldn’t see through the windshield. Whoever it was didn’t seem to be slowing down. I whimpered as the person didn’t stop. I turned to look at Brian as the car nailed the passenger side of the car.

The car we were in skidded and spun a bit, and then we were hit by a couple of other cars, but there was blood trickling down my forehead and I was losing consciousness. And then everything went black.

I wiped at the tears that were falling down my cheeks. I didn’t realize that they had even started. I felt Brian rub my shoulder lightly before his voice greeted my ears. “What’s wrong?” I smiled softly.

“Yeah. I’m sorry,” I whispered. We pulled up to Brian’s house and I got out with him. He led me into his house and to the couch softly. “Can I have water or a sandwich or something?” I asked feeling hungry. He nodded before going into the kitchen. I smelled bacon cooking and then a few minutes later he came with a BLT and a glass of water. “Thanks. And you remembered,” I whispered with a small smile.

“Yeah, I’m glad it’s still your favorite sandwich,” He told me with a warm smile before sitting next to me. I smiled before taking a bite and swallowing. “So?”

“It’s really good,” I told him with a warm smile. I finished the sandwich and yawned before lying back against the couch. I guess I fell asleep, because when I woke up next, I was laying in a bed. I yawned and blushed as I rolled and bumped into Brian’s chest. I watched it rise and fall in a steady pattern as he slept. I smiled softly before curling up to him and yawning again.

I leaned over and kissed his cheek before curling up again. When I woke up the next time, Brian was the one watching me. “Do you remember anything about the crash?” I asked softly. He shook his head and leaned down and kissed me softly.

I smiled before wrapping my arms around his neck and pulling him down closer.
