Promises Broken and Words Left Unspoken

Brian’s P.O.V
I kept my face buried in my hands as thoughts raced through my head.

What if she’s not okay? What if she dies? What if she never wakes up? What if I never get a chance to say ‘I Love You’ again?

I shook my head trying to get these thoughts out of my head but it wasn’t working very well. I looked up as the nurse said that visiting hours were over but Zacky could go stay with his fiancee if he would like to. I looked over at Matt and Jimmy with a confused glance since I had missed Jimmy's remark earlier.

“You must have hit your head really hard Brian…she’s talking about Madi,” Jimmy said with a look that told me to shut up and agree.

I nodded and chuckled. “Oh right. Madi,” I bit my lip to keep from saying the rude things running through my head.

He couldn’t have lied and said he was a brother or something?! What the hell? Ugh, if I could stand up right now…I would kill him.

As soon as everyone left the room, I let out a sigh. I can’t help but feel that this is all my fault. I closed my eyes and ended up dosing off. When I woke up next there were nurses and doctors running to a room. I bit my lip as I forced myself up. When I walked out and followed to where they had run off to, my heart dropped to my stomach when I noticed Zacky being pushed from the room. “What’s going on?” I asked taking in his pale appearance.

“She started flat lining,” He whispered.
