Far From Normal
We both stared at each other for a long while. The confused look never left my face. I had no idea what to say, and he waited for me to speak. But I didn't. So eventually, he just leaned forward, kissed my forehead, and went upstairs to the bathroom to take a shower. I sat there on the couch until my mindset completely changed. He was in the shower. I remembered something he'd told me once.

I got up and walked up the stairs and down the hall to the bathroom and opened the door as quietly as possible. He hummed while he was in the shower, so if he stopped then I'd know he heard me. But he kept going.

"You don't have to impress me, sweetie," he said. "No matter what you wear, I always think you're the most beautiful girl." I looked back at the mirror.
"Even if I'm not wearing makeup?" He nodded.
"You always look perfect." The front door opened and I heard Matt's voice.
"Syn," he called. He came up the stairs but neither Brian nor I removed our gaze from each other. Matt came up behind Brian. "What's going on?" Matt squinted his eyes slightly as he scrutinized my appearance. Then he looked at Brian. His jaw dropped.
"Oh fuck no," he yelled. Brian shut his eyes. He knew what Matt saw. Matt pulled Brian back and walked into my room, shutting the door. Matt walked over to me and when I tried walking away, he grabbed my wrists and pulled me close to him. He got on eye level. "Did you fuck him," he asked, trying not to scream in my face. I didn't answer. His teeth clenched. "Did you?!" Louder this time. His grip on my arms tightened. I nodded hurriedly. He pushed me away and started pacing. I just stood there. He paced as he yelled.
"How could you do this, Courtney?! After everything we've threatened you with and all the things I've sacrificed for you, how could you do this?!" He walked out, slamming the door shut behind him. I sat on my bed, not sure what to do. After a few minutes, I walked into the hall quietly and walked to the stairs. I sat at the top where Matt or Brian wouldn't be able to see me. They were sitting across from each other; Brian was on the couch and Matt was on the recliner. They stayed silent for what felt like forever until Matt cleared his throat.
"I don't know what else I could say to you that I haven't already," he said quietly.
"Matt, let me ask you something," Brian said. "Let's say you stayed over tonight and you were taking a shower. If she walked in and opened that door completely naked, what would you say? What would you do?"
"That would never happen-"
"It could. She loves you. She would do it." Matt didn't answer. Brian sighed. "How'd you know we did it?"
"Both your hair was wet like you'd both gotten out of the shower at the same time. Plus you being shirtless didn't help. You get really big headed about your appearance every time you get laid." I thought about that. He was right. Ha.

I'm really gonna try writing more for the mibba version because that's been at a standstill for a while because I didn't know if I wanted to continue it (I'm gonna lol) so yeah the next chapter is under construction and this version has about 4 chapters until it catches up so yeah. I really need to write more lol. but hey I turn 18 on Sunday :)have one?
