Cassandra’s POV

It was finally time to go to Matt’s but I was scared that it’ll be a problem for him at the end of the day. I didn’t even know why he was adopting me. I pushed the thought away, went to take a shower. While in the shower I started thinking that since, I was going to be with Alex, the only ones I was going to miss were Jane and Mrs. Gaspar. I finished taking a shower, got dress and finished packing. Jane knocked on the door and came in to tell me that Matt was here. I started getting really nervous. Since Alex was going to the guys’ houses with me I went to see if she was ready. I knocked on her door and opened it. She wasn’t inside, so I decided to go downstairs. When I got there, I saw her at a table talking to the guys. All of them were laughing. I went over to them and sat down.

“Good morning guys” I said, stealing Alex orange’s juice.

“Hey Cassie, no hug?” he asked, raising an eyebrow.I got up and went over to Matt and hugged him. I was about to go back to my seat when Zacky stopped me.

“And what about me?” he asked, getting up. Why did he want a hug? I shook my head pushing the thought out and hugged him. I didn’t know why but I felt very comfortable in his arms, I felt safe. I wanted to pull away but I couldn’t, don’t ask me why. I finally forced my arms to unwrap themselves around him and gave the others their hug.

“I’m starving right now. I’m going to get some food.” I said going get breakfast. I took some cereals and milk. I was about to walk back to the table when I saw that all the guys weren’t there, except Matt who was talking to Jane. She was smiling widely; I swear I never saw her like this. I went over to them and sat down. Both of them looked at me at the same time.

”What? Is there something on my face?” I asked

“No, no there’s nothing on your face. We were just talking about how much I’ll miss my baby girl” Jane said

“Aww. I’m going to miss you too. You’re like a mother to me” I said honestly

“And Matt thought-”

“That you guys can keep seeing each other” he said smiling at Jane sweetly.

“Really?” I asked, kind of surprise.

“Yes that’s why I asked for her number. So you guys can keep in touch”

I smiled widely, getting up, going over to him and hugging him tightly. He laughed and hugged me back. We pulled away and I went back to my seat. I finished breakfast and went upstairs to take my bags. Zacky helped me take them downstairs. We put them in the car and went back inside. I saw Jane and Mrs. Gaspar right next to the guys; it was sad leaving Mrs. Gaspar and Jane. I ran over and pulled them into a tight hug. Mrs. Gaspar started to cry when we pulled away. I hugged her, rubbing her back in a comforting way.

After a while she let go of me and told me“Be a good girl, Cassie. Don’t put yourself into too much trouble. I love you. Maybe we’ll see someday.” She said.

“I love you too” I said kissing her cheek.

I turned just in time to see a tear falling down Jane’s face. Matt who was next to her, started rubbing her back softly. He pulled her closer to him. I went over to her and hugged her.

“Don’t cry, we going to see each other at least once a week.” I whispered to her.We pulled away and she smiled lightly. I said my goodbye to them and went outside with Alex.

I started walking when Alex stopped me “What’s wrong, Cassie? You look nervous” She asked.

“I’m fine.” I said lying.

“Cut the shit, Cassandra. Just tell me what's wrong” she said firmly.

“Ok, fine. I’m nervous because I don’t know if Matt is ready to adopt me. I’m just scared that in the beginning he’ll be nice and all, and in the end he’ll just don’t care about me and stuff.”

“I know how you feel but I know that Matt is too nice, he wouldn’t do that to you”.

“How do you know that? You don’t even know him. You just met the guy.”

“Well, I know enough about him to tell you that he wouldn’t do something like that to you”

Before I could answer someone called our name. We turned around and saw that it was Brian. We walked over to his car; I guess.

“What’s up Brian?”Alex asked .

“You’re going home with Jimmy to put your things there and then you’re coming to Matt’s okay?”

“Okay” she said turning to look at me “We’ll see later” she hugged me and got in the car.

“Cassie, can you come over here please?” I heard someone yelled. It was Matt telling me to come over to him. I went next to him and said

“Yes, Matt?".

“We have to go now” he said

“Okay.” I got in the car with Johnny, Zacky, Jimmy and Brian. Matt started to drive back to his house. We got to a stop and the guys and I got out of the car. I looked at the house; it was really big. Matt opened the front door and I went inside with my bag. The house was beautiful.

I was in my room putting my last belongings away when someone knocked on the door.

“Come in” I didn’t bother to turn and look at who it was because I knew it was one of the guys.

I felt someone on the bed and said softly “Cassie, do you want to come downstairs and chill with us?”I turned around and saw that it was Matt.

“Maybe later, when I’m done unpacking” I said.

“But you’ve been unpacking since we got here, take a break. Don’t you want to spend some time with your dad?” he said, pouting.

“Yeah I do but-”

“There’s no but. Come on let’s go watch a movie” he said, giving me the puppy dog eyes.

“Okay” I sighed, seeing that he wouldn’t give up. We got up and went downstairs.

“I’m getting something to drink, do you want anything?”

“No, I’m fine thanks” he said, going to the living room. I went in the kitchen, opened the fridge, grabbed a can of coke and went over to the living room. When I got there all the guys smiled at me. I smiled back.

“You finally got her to come downstairs” Johnny said to Matt.I went over to the couch and sat down between Zacky and Matt. Matt looked at me and put his arm around my shoulder. I put my head on his shoulder and started to watch the movie that was playing. It was ‘Mirrors’; a scary movie. I was getting very comfortable when someone’s phone started to ring and Matt got it out of his pocket. He unwrapped his arms around my shoulder and got up to answer it. After a while he came back, looking very piss off. He sat back down and stared at the TV. I put my hand on his knee and he looked at me raising an eyebrow.

“What’s wrong, Matt?” I asked.

“Nothing don’t worry”

I studied his face before saying “I know there’s something wrong. So what is it?” I asked again, trying to understand why he was so angry.

“I told you already, there’s nothing wrong!” he shouted at me. I got up, feeling tears falling down my face and went upstairs to my room.

Matt’s POV

“What’s your fucking problem Matt? Why did you yell at her?” Brian shouted at me.

“I didn’t mean to. I was just angry” I said, looking at my foot felling bad that I yelled at her.

“It’s not an excuse Matt. She was just trying to know what’s wrong. ” Brian said still yelling at me.

“I know…” I said, keeping my head down.

“What are you doing here? Go find her”

I got up, going upstairs to Cassie’s room. I knocked on the door and said “Cassie, it’s me Matt open the door”I didn’t hear anything.

I was about to knock again when I heard her said “Why? To yell at me again”.

I felt bad to know that I hurt her. “Cassie I’m not going to yell at you again. I’m sorry, please open the door” she unlocked the door and went back to her bed. I sat on her bed next to her. “Cassie I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to yell at you. I was pissed off” I said softly to her. She looked at me and smiled lightly, still crying. “Are we okay now?” she nodded slowly. I pulled her into a hug. We laid like this until someone knocked on her door. She jumped lightly and said “Come in”. Zacky opened the door and said

“Hey, you guys have been laying here since one hour ago. Are you guys coming downstairs Alexandra is here.”

Cassandra jumped off the bed and went downstairs yelling “Alex”. I got up and went downstairs to see my daughter hugging Alex.

Cassandra’s POV

I was so happy to see Alex again. Jimmy was behind her. I went over to him and hugged him tightly.“Someone missed me” he said smirking. I glared at him playfully and turned back to Alex. She kept looking at me weirdly so I turned again to see Jimmy still smirking.

I looked at Alex and told her“Alex can you tell your dad to stop smirking at me?” the second those words left my mouth she blurred out of laughter. “It’s not funny, Al. It’s not funny.” I said in a devil choice.

“Oh my god, I’m so scared” she said with sarcasm in her voice.

“You should Alex cause you’re sleeping at her house, in her bedroom, ALONE” Jimmy said.

“At Matt’s house” I corrected him.

“It’s your house too you know?”Matt said, coming downstairs.

“Yeah.” I said. I went over to the couch and sat down between Alex and Zacky. We started to watch a movie called ‘Paranormal Activity.’ There was this part were the girl put flour by the door frame for the ghost, when she fall asleep she heard her door opened and saw footprint on the floor. This part wasn’t that scary but Jimmy started screaming and jumping on Johnny. Zacky who was next to me, put his arm around my shoulder. I got closer to him and put my head on his shoulder.

“You guys look like a couple; a cute couple” Alex said, winking at me

Zacky laughed and said “No, we don’t” I felt my cheek blushing. Thankfully the lights weren’t on. I got closer to Alex, put my head on Zacky’s lap and my feet on Alex’s. After a while Zacky started playing with my hair. I got comfortable and stared at the TV. We watched movies after movies and I felt myself drifting to sleep on Zacky’s lap; a beautiful smile on my face.
