Aaron texted me saying that he really wanted me to get out. Of course I'm going to because I'm done with Brian making my life miserable. I got ready and headed out the door. I was looking towards getting fucked up tonight. I needed it.

I got to the bar and walked in. Aaron saw me and walked me over to where we would be sitting for the night. I ordered a shot of jack and a beer to start off the night.

"So Lex I'm sorry about earlier," he said. I shook my head.

"Don't worry about it," I said. "I don't care anymore," I said shrugging my shoulders.

-An Hour Later-

I've had a few drinks and I was getting tipsy. I looked over and saw Zacky and Jimmy sitting at a table. I got up and walked over to them.

"Hey guys," I said excited sitting on the edge of the table.

"Hey Lex," they said in unison. I had this weird vibe.

"What's wrong," I asked.

"Nothing's wrong," Jimmy said.

"I have this vibe," I said.

"Well okay we haven't hung out in years what else do you expect," Zack said laughing. I nodded.

"Yeah sorry guys," I said.

Jimmy playfully socked my arm. "You know we don't give a shit. Lex you're Lex and still my fucking best friend," Jimmy said laughing. I looked at him and smiled. I'm glad at least one thing didn't change. I got up and sat down next to Jimmy.

"And Zack what about you is everything cool between us," I asked him.

He looked at me. "I'll try to make it as normal as possible. It's just weird hanging out with you without Brian," he told me.

"Fuck him," I said laughing.

Jimmy looked at me. "What the fuck I thought you loved him," he said laughing.

"I did. Not anymore I don't give a shit about that piece of shit," I said standing up very clumsily.

"Here hold my drink," I said to Jimmy while taking a hit off my cigarette. I ran up to the stage that sat in the bar. Normally there are bands that play but tonight there wasn't. I looked at Aaron. He smiled. He knew exactly the song to put on. Jimmy and Zack looked at me with confused looks. I've never sang in front of anyone except Aaron and that was because I was wasted.

I looked at the people out in the bar. They weren't paying attention. There were a couple but Jimmy and Zack's eyes were glued on me. "From Where You Are" by Lifehouse started to play. That was the song I sang for Aaron. He loved it so much he demanded that I sang in his bar. I refused. I started to sing.

The words easily flowed out of my mouth due to the fact I was buzzed. I opened my eyes and everyone's eyes were on me. They clapped and I walked off the stage. I walked up to Aaron.

"How was it," I asked eager to know.

"You did amazing," he said smiling and giving me a hug. I was happy to see how happy he was that I finally sang in his bar. Jimmy tapped me on the shoulder.

"Why the fuck didn't you ever tell us you could sing like that," he said pulling me into a hug.

"I'm too shy and I don't like my voice," I said.

"Well fuck that it's amazing," he said smiling at me. We headed back over to the table. Sadly, Brian was sitting there.

"Lex you sounded amazing," he said.

"Thank you," I said smiling. I sat down next to Jimmy and grabbed my drink. I took a big drink and swallowed it. Brian wasn't talking to me or anything. It was shocking. I figured he was going to go off on me like he has been for the past week but he wasn't. Maybe he finally got it in his head that I didn't want him anymore. I laid my head against Jimmy's shoulder and thought about the old times with Jimmy. We were some crazy motherfuckers!

"So uh Lex," Brian said. I lifted my head up and looked at him.
"What," I said irritated.

"Uh never mind," he said standing up.

"Whoa Gates where do you think you're going," Jimmy said laughing.

"I can't be here," he said. He turned around and walked away.

"Lex please fix this," Jimmy begged. I couldn't say no to Jimmy.

"Jimmy I can't he broke my heart to many times," I explained.

"That was the old Brian Lex he is different now all he wants is you," Jimmy told me.

"He fucking loves you," he said. I put my face in my hands and sighed. Jimmy put his hand on my back and rubbed it softly.

"I know you'll make the right choice Lex but all I want you to do is at least fix it with him. He's a fucking wreck," he said. I nodded.

"I know. I'm just trying to tell myself that I don't care about him anymore but I do care about him," I said.

"You need to stop fooling yourself okay," Jimmy said. I looked at him.

"You know what you're right I'm done with this bullshit. Brian wants me now and I can have him but I'm being selfish," I said.

"Go do it," he said. I stood up grabbed my beer and ran out the door. Brian was standing right by the window by the door.

"Bri," I said slowly walking up to him. He turned his head quickly and looked at me.

"Did you come out here to tell me how much you hate me some more," he asked.

"No Brian I came out here to tell you I'm sorry," I said. He turned towards me.

"What are you sorry for? You didn't do anything wrong. You’re only telling the truth," he said. I shook my head.

"No, I'm not telling the truth. All I'm trying to do is get you back for the pain you caused me. I know I'm saying I don't love you and all this shit, but I do. I can't fucking go a minute without you going through my mind," I said.

"Then why are you telling me all this shit," he asked.

"Because I'm being selfish and stupid okay? We all make mistakes and this is one I made. I shouldn't of walked out of your life just because of a stupid bitch," he cut me off.

"No I shouldn't of taken her before us," he said.

"That's true you shouldn't of done that but it's already done. Why don't we do what you said earlier? Let's put this all behind us and just focus on the memories we had, the good ones," I told him. He looked down into my eyes.

"Are you sure," he asked. I nodded.

"I'm done hiding this Bri. I'm ready to accept the fact that you are the person I want to be with. You are the person that I've always wanted to be with. It just hurt me to see you with another girl," I said.

"Well that won't happen anymore you are the only girl that will make me happy," he said smiling. I wrapped my arms around my neck.

"Remember our first kiss," I said. He looked at me.

"Yeah," he said laughing. "I was so fucking scared the next week," he said.

"I know you ignored me," I said.

"That was only because I was scared that you figured out my feelings for you," he said.

"No actually I didn't believe it or not I thought it was just a friendly kiss goodnight," I said laughing.

"Well we were only in the eighth grade," he said laughing.

"True," I said pulling my arms back down to my sides.

"Lex," he said.

"Yes," I asked taking a drink of my beer.

"Thank you," he said. I nodded. He took my hand and we walked back into the bar.
