Years Gone By Without You

Chapter 47

An hour passed by and the girls had showed up before the guys did. They insisted that I packed clothes and wouldn’t tell me where we were going. I packed up for the weekend and then left. They had rented a limo so everyone could come along and also so I wouldn’t be able to see where we actually were going. They were determined to make this the best weekend ever.

We drove for what seemed like forever. I was so excited to see where they planned everything though. I felt my phone vibrate letting me know I had a text message. I told the girls that I would have to keep my phone in close contact just in case something happened with Avery. I’m sure nothing will but you never know. I opened the text message.

‘From: Zee
Hey baby. I thought I would just let you know us guys just left. I’ll try and keep in touch the best I can, but you know it’s a bachelor party. Haha. Have a good time. I love you. Be ready to get married when you get back J.’

I smiled at the text and sent him an ‘I love you too and okay’ back. I was so happy to be with Zack. The limo came to a stop.

“So you ready.” Val said smiling. I nodded. The driver opened the door and I stepped out to be blown away. I was in Laughlin. I loved this place. I use to go here when I was real little with my grandparents. They loved to gamble here.

“We figured that since all of us are taken by wonderful men and that you always talked about this place that we would take you here.” Val smiled.

“I’m blown away you guys. I love this place. Thank you so much.”

“You’re welcome.” They all said. We walked into the hotel where we got our room keys. We went ahead and just got one huge room so we could share. We got our key and went to the room.

“So what are we going to do?” I asked as I sat down.

“Well we have multiple things we’re going to do but the first thing is we’re going to go ahead and just go down to the Colorado River and relax and go on a boat ride.” Lacey said sitting down next to me.

“Sounds good to me.” I smiled. “This will be the first time I’ll be here where I’m actually legally allowed to gamble and all that junk.” I said laying back on the bed.

“You ready?” Val asked excitedly.

“Yes!” I smiled standing up.

We stood up and walked out.

Zack’s POV

Lex left with the girls and already I instantly missed her. The guys showed up and we were now on our way to Las Vegas. I know we’re going to go to some strip bars and do things guys do, but I have to keep my self-control. I cannot cheat on Lex.

“Dude Zack snap out of it.” Brian broke me out of my thoughts.

“Sorry dude.” I shrugged.

“We’re here at the hotel.” He said opening the door and getting out. I stepped out and we all went in and got our rooms. I wonder what Lex is doing right now. I don’t even know where they are. I sighed and sat down on my bed. I know we won’t be going out ‘til late so I mine as well chill for a bit. I drifted off into a light sleep when my phone started to ring. I picked it up and answered it.

“Hello.”

“Hey Zack.” My mother’s voice rang through the ear piece.

“Oh hey mom. What’s up?” I asked.

“Just making sure that you made it out there okay.”

“Yep. How’s Avery?”

“She’s an angel, as always.” She chuckled.

“Okay good.”

“How’s Lex?” She asked.

“I don’t know. I haven’t talked to her.”

“Don’t do anything stupid Zack that you’ll regret. I know you have a strong love for Lex and me and your father both love her to pieces. I don’t want to risk her getting hurt because of a mistake you made.”

I sighed. “I know mom. I’m not going to do anything stupid. I’m just going to chill and enjoy my time with my friends.”

“Okay. I worry about you. Just need to make sure you’ll be okay.”

“I’ll be fine.”

“Okay baby. I’ll call you later. Love ya.”

“Love you too. Bye.” I hung up and looked at the time. It was almost eight o’clock. I guess I better call Lex. I dialed her number but it went straight to voicemail. My heart sank and I just tried to shake it off. I couldn’t worry about her around the guys they’ll give me so much shit.

I heard a knock at the door.

“Zack you ready?” Matt asked.

“Yeah.” I jumped to my feet and shook the thoughts out of my head. I was ready for tonight and I was determined not to worry.

When I entered the new story on the website it has the area asking if it is a sequel and to what story. I clicked the story and when it was saved and everything it just showed up on the page. I hope I helped.
