The months passed very slowly without Zack. I missed him so much and this pregnancy was only getting harder by the day. The doctor was right when he said that I was probably going to be put on bed rest. I already gotten to the point where it takes literally all I’ve got just to make it to the grocery store. Zack was going to be home this weekend, though. I didn’t get to see him at all while they were on tour because I couldn’t fly out due to my conditions and he wasn’t off for long enough to fly out here.

I was now five in a half months pregnant. I didn’t want to figure out the sex of the baby though without Zack by my side. I had scheduled an appointment the week after he gets back.

Today me and Val decided that we would go get some more shopping done. I was in need of some more clothes and also I wanted to get a little bit more stuff for the baby. And secretly me and Val are gonna start looking at wedding dresses. I know me and Zack haven’t settled on a date yet but all I know is that I want to be prepared and I also want to kind of have an idea of what I want.

I heard a faint knock and I walked out and down the stairs. I was already ready and I knew the person at the door was Val so I just grabbed my purse and phone and walked out.

The mall was crazy packed today. Val and I made our way through the stores finding anything we liked. I found quite a bit of shirts that I liked and a couple pairs of pants. I knew I was only going to get bigger so I got them a size bigger than what I was now. It was kind of exciting shopping for clothes and stuff for the baby. When I did it made me really realize that I was having a baby and that this was all real. I never pictured my life like this. Me and Val were looking at car seats when an old familiar face showed up. Gena.

“What are you doing here?” She snapped. I looked up at her in shock realizing that she was pregnant except she was further along than I was.

“Um looking at car seats for mine and Zack’s baby.” I narrowed my eyes at her. I really wasn’t in the best of moods lately and I definitely didn’t want to see her.

“I thought you couldn’t have a baby.”

“How’d you know that?”

“Oh you know.” She grinned. “When are you do?”

“I’m due on April 7th. I’d rather not make small talk with you right now Gena.” I snapped. Val put her hand on my shoulder. She rolled her eyes and stormed past me.

“Ugh I can’t stand her.” I shook my head.

“Well it was just the odds.” Val laughed.

“I really like this car seat.” I smiled looking at this green and blue one. “I’m just too terrified of buying it and then the baby being a girl or something.” I laughed.

“Well you know you really can’t pick out anything like that for that reason. When are you going to figure out the sex anyway?”

“On Wednesday.” I smiled. “I really want a girl.”

“What does Zack want?”

“I don’t know I’ve never asked him.” I laughed.

“So I’m taking it you guys haven’t picked names yet either?”

I shook my head. “I just decided that we’ll deal with all that after we figure the sex out.”

“That makes sense.”

We made our way to the clothing and I picked out little things like burp towels and stuff that could be for both sexes. After checking out we made our way to the food court for something to eat and then we left to go window shop for wedding dresses.

“So what kind of dress were you thinking of getting?”

“I’m not totally sure. I don’t know how my body shape will be after the baby so I want something that would look good either way.”

“I really think you would look amazing in a strapless dress.” She smiled.

“I’ve always wanted a strapless one. I love them. I want it to be uber long and really extremely beautiful. Part of me just wants to design my own.” I laughed.

“Well that’s possible but cost a lot and takes a long time.”

I sighed. “Yeah I know. That’s why I want to start looking now so I can find the perfect one.”

“It makes sense.”

Val pulled into the parking lot of the local bridal shop and we got out. I walked in and was blown away already.

“Hello.” A lady came walking up to us. “How may I help you today?” She smiled.

“I’m just looking right now. I just want kind of an idea of what I want to look for so when my fiancée comes back I’ll be prepared.”

“Okay well here let’s get you started.” She smiled and walked towards the back. “What type of dress do you have in mind?”

“I was just thinking the simple white of course, but strapless and I want it long.”

“Okay, there is this one that would look great on you I think.” She smiled and held out this gorgeous dress. It blew me away. “Is there a certain price range you’ll be looking for?” She asked. I instantly shook my head.

“No.” I laughed.

“Okay well feel free to look at those there and the ones over there.” She said pointing towards a couple of places where strapless long gowns were. “And also feel free to try them on.” She smiled.

“Okay thank you.” I walked and started looking through all these dresses. They were all so gorgeous in their own way. I saw four that really stuck out that I absolutely loved. I tried all four on and they looked stunning. I was definitely settling on one of those four, but I just wasn’t sure which one quite yet. I do have some time though.

I had found the lady and I had ask her the possibility of these dresses being sold and she said it could happen but she could also put them on hold for only 8 weeks. I decided on going ahead and having her putting them on hold just so I can make a decision and also to figure out when exactly my wedding was going to be.

Val and I had left the bridal store happy as can be. I was so excited of getting married and starting a family with Zack. I just couldn’t wait. Me and Val drove back to mine and Zack’s house.

“I’m gonna go ahead and help you bring your stuff in.” Val said getting out.

I laughed. “Okay.” I grabbed a couple bags and walked up the stairs and opened the door.

“There you are.” Zack said happily.
