"I'll be right back gotta go to the bathroom," I told Zee and Zoey.

"Okay," they both said.

I got up and walked away. "So Zacky," Zoey said.

"Yeah," he said. "You love Lex," she said bluntly.

"Excuse me," he said.

"Sorry I know it's not my place to say but it's so obvious," she said laughing.

"Really," he asked. She nodded. "Wow," he said laughing. "I didn't think it was that obvious. I just wish she would just get over Brian and get with me," he told her.

"Brian as in Synyster Gates," she asked.

"Yeah he betrayed her and wants her back, but I don't think she'll take him back hopefully," he explained.

"Damn I would get with him any chance I got," she said laughing.

"Ha yeah he's not interested in anyone but her and he's going off on this jealous rampage," he said.

"That's what she was talking about this morning," she said realizing. I walked back up to them and sat down next to Zack. I felt a little awkward.

"Did I come back at a bad time," I asked laughing and picking up a shot. They both shook their heads. "Okay," I said awkwardly.

An hour later we all were pretty fucked up. Matt, Johnny and Jimmy ended up coming and meeting us. "Dude Brian's pissed at you guys," Jimmy told me and Zack.

"I don't give a fuck me and Zee were just hanging out like we used to and then he comes barging over saying all this shit. I'm not going to put up with it," I told him.

"I know," he said.

"Fuck him, you know I never realized how much I wasted my life with him when I could've just accepted my real feelings," I told him. He looked at me confused.

"What do you mean by real feelings," he asked.

"Don't worry about it," I said standing up and walking out to go smoke a cigarette. Jimmy followed behind me. He opened the door and poked his head out.

"Lex what's going on," he asked. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Nothing that should concern you," I told him.

"Lex you know you're still one of my best friends. So tell me what the fuck is going on," he said.

I looked at him and smiled. "I know Jim but if you must know I think, well no, I know that I have feelings for Zee," I told him.

His eyes widened. "Lex you can't," he said.

"What why," I asked.

"Brian will freak the fuck out," he said.

I sighed. "I know, but I can't help it Jimmy," I told him.

"Nothing has happened between you guys has it? I mean except for what happened when Brian was there," he asked.

"Kind of,” I said under my breath. “We kissed a few more times," I told him.

"Lex," he said shocked.

"I'm sorry. We're not dating yet or anything," I told him.

"You better watch out. You know what Brian will do if he ever found out," he told me.

I nodded my head. "I know that's why we're not dating yet. I won't let it happen until I know Brian will accept it," I explained.

"Good," he said. I threw my cigarette on the ground and stomped it out. Jimmy and I walked back inside.

The rest of the night we sat around until two and finally decided to have Aaron drive us home. Jimmy didn't say anything about what we talked about. We all went home and I passed out.

The next morning I woke up at two in the afternoon. Fuck late for work. I'm pretty sure Zoey is too though. I dragged myself out of bed and took a hot shower to see if it would help me feel any better. I let the hot water run down my body. For some reason I was thinking about Brian. I wished he could just be a better guy. I wish he could've just told me his feelings years ago when the time was right. I love him but I'm growing strong feelings for Zack. I know it's wrong in so many ways. Wait, no it's not wrong at all. Brian and I never were officially together, so there's no reason for him to be pissed at me for getting with Zack. I finished up my shower and got out and slipped on some jeans and a ripped up shirt that looked really good on me. I pulled my hair back in a ponytail and put a small line of eyeliner on. I walked downstairs grabbed my keys and phone and headed out to the shop.

I walked in and Zoey was sitting on one of the couches. "Hey Zoe," I said. She looked up at me and smiled.

"I knew you were gonna be late," she said laughing. "How do you feel," she asked.

"Like shit," I said laughing.

"I had a lot of fun last night," she told me.

"I did too we should definitely do it again when there's not so much drama going on," I told her sitting down next to her and pulling out a cigarette.

"Hey you have one for me," she asked. I nodded and handed her one. "So why didn't you tell me you were dating well I guess not dating but were gonna date Synyster Gates," she asked smiling.

"Well I honestly don't know. I just didn't think of it. See I don't remember them as in being a famous band. I remember them younger and us fucking up everything in our sight. Getting wasted and shit," I said laughing.

"I can only imagine," she said.

"Yeah fuck me and Brian use to get our parents to get drunk and then once they were wasted we would get money and steal one of their cars and go pick up the guys and get drunk," I told her.

"Damn that's fucking awesome," she said.

I nodded. "Yeah you gotta meet Brian," I told her. "I know I'm pissed at him but it's only temporary," I said.

"I really wanna meet him. I mean it's not just because he's in Avenged but because of you. I wanna see if he's even worth all of this," she told me.

"Yeah I don't know. He's not the man I remember him being. He used to do anything for me in a heartbeat. Until Michelle came along then it was all about her. I mean yeah I'm fine with him dating girls but I mean when she cheats on you once you don't go back to her cause it's bound to happen again," I explained.

Zoe nodded. "I completely understand but you and Zack seem to be having something going on," she said lifting her eyebrows. "I can see it in your guys' eyes," she said.

"Na we're just close," I lied.

She narrowed her eyes at me. "You're lying," she said.

I shook my head. "Na me and Zee go way back we've always been like this," I told her standing up and walking toward my work station.

"Okay whatever you say. You have a couple clients today I think," she yelled.

"Okay," I yelled back.

"Lex is that you," I heard Ian ask.

"Yeah," I said.

"Okay just making sure," he said. I got settled in and started my day.

A couple hours passed and I had one client done. I realized I haven't looked at my phone all day. I took it out of my pocket and looked at it. I had two missed calls one from Brian and then one from Zack and then fifteen text messages. Most of them were forwards but there was one from Zack saying that he needed me to call him and then one from Jimmy saying Brian is becoming suspicious. I instantly called Zack back. "Hello," he answered.

"Hey what's going on," I asked.

"Brian is fucking flipping out," he told me. "He's going off on me because you kissed me," he explained.

"I'll handle it," I said hanging up. I called up Brian.

"Hello," he answered.

"Brian will you please stop this," I asked.

"Lex you kissed my best friend when you know how much I love you," he said.

"I know but Brian I... I... I think I have feelings for him," I forced myself to say. The other end of the phone was silent. I could hear breathing so I knew he was still there. "Brian please say something," I told him.

"What am I supposed to say Lex? You're not getting with him you're going to be with me," he snapped.

"Come down to Sinister Body Graphics," I told him.

"Why," he asked.

"Just do it," I said hanging up.

Thirty minutes later Brian came walking in the door. "Uh Lex," I heard Zoe from the front. I was with a client discussing his ideas for a tat.

"Hang on," I yelled.

"Excuse me Jayce," I said standing up. I hurried into the front.

"Brian sit down... Whoa Zack what are you doing here," I asked surprised.

"I came to get my tat done," he said smiling.

"Uh okay well I have a client right now you can be next though," I told him.

"Okay well I'll just hang out here with Zoe until then," he told me.

"Uh okay," I told him walking back to my station. I sat down and Jayce told me what he wanted done. It was a simple memoir tat of his grandmother. So sweet. I asked Jayce to come back in forty five minutes so I could draw it out. After he left I walked outside and sat down next to Zack. I looked at him and smiled.

"You guys seriously need to just kiss or whatever," Zoe said laughing. "The vibe is just too strong," she said getting up and walking back to Ian's office. I looked at Zack.

"Maybe she's right," he said lifting his eyebrows.

"You're so cute," I told him shaking my head.

"No seriously," he said laughing.

"Well Mr. Baker you don’t seem serious," I said laughing.

"Oh c'mon you know you wanna," he said nudging my arm. I smiled at him.

"I know I wanna I just can't," I told him. He begged to differ. He leaned in and pressed his lips against mine softly. He broke the kiss and smiled at me.

"I know you wanna be with me Lex it's obvious, but I understand why you won't be," he said.

"I know," I sighed. "I really wish it wasn't like this," I told him.

I stood up and grabbed his hand and pulled him up. "I gotta draw this out come with me back here," I told him. He nodded and we walked back. Zack hurried and sat down at the seat I needed. "Zack," I said laughing. "I need that chair," I told him.

"I know that's why I sat down," he said laughing.

He patted his leg. "Come have a seat," he said. I looked at him. I shrugged and walked over and sat down on his lap and started working on the drawing. "You're very concentrated," he said laughing. I looked at him.

"Well this is gonna be on a guy for forever you know," I told him. He laughed. I could feel the tension we had. I mean it was pretty awkward in some ways, but I can't deny that I didn't love it. I was halfway done with the picture when I took a break to relax my hand. I'm not use to drawing so much yet. Zack wrapped his arms around my waist.

"Sorry I have to," he said. I looked at me and shook my head.

"You act like it's a crime," I said laughing.

"Well you are totally in love with my best friend and you have some kind of feelings for me," he laughed. “It’s like one of those stupid ass high school drama movies.” I laid back. He rested his chin on my shoulder. I turned my head and kissed his cheek.

"I know what I want and I'm going to get it," I told him. He looked at me. We were really close. We were literally so close I could feel him breathing.

"What do you want," he asked. I looked deep into his eyes.

"You," I said leaning in and kissing him.

"You guys are together now huh," I heard a voice say. I quickly jumped up and looked at the doorway. It was Brian.

"Brian listen," I told him.

"No need too. I get the picture," he said walking away.

"Zoe, stop him," I yelled. I ran out after him. "Brian this is why I called you here," I told him. "Well not to see me and Zack sucking face but to explain to you that me and you are not going to be together okay. I want Zack and that's final," I told him. His eyes swelled up with tears. "I know you're upset but I waited to long for you. I suffered long enough don't you think," I asked. He nodded. I turned around and walked back into my station.
