After sitting in the park for another 10 minutes in silence my phone buzzed in my pocket.
Rosie: We sorted everything out, Emmet isn’t mad any more, you guys can come home now, he wants to talk to Jimmy…
Me: Glad you guys aren’t fighting any more, alright I’ll bring her back now, she’s already asleep, how does right now sound?
Rosie: You’re with him just now?
Me: I’ll explain when we get home, see you soon :p
I slid my phone back into my pocket and stood from the bench and Jimmy followed suit and started walking beside me as I pushed Ava along
“Where are we going?” Jimmy asked casually
“My house, Emmet wants to talk to you and I need to get Ava home,”
“Emmet knows about…” he swallowed hard
“Yeah, Ava told him I was having a baby,” I said with a laugh
A few minutes later and we were back at the house, we walked inside to find Rosie and Emmet sitting in the kitchen, Rosie with a coffee and Emmet with a beer. Rosie asked me if I would put Ava to bed with her, I knew it was to leave Emmet alone with Jimmy and the look in his eyes as I lifted Ava from her pushchair was begging me not to leave him alone, but I knew that I had to.
Jimmy’s P.O.V
Charlie left me alone with Emmet in the kitchen of their house and I was freaking out, Charlie’s his baby sister and I got her knocked up because I was being a stupid, horny teenager.
“Jimmy,” Emmet said surprisingly calmly as he gestured for me to sit next to him at the breakfast bar “I’m sure Charlie told you everything about me knowing?”
“Yes, sir,” I choked
“Dude, I’m not her dad, I’m her older brother, sure, I should kick your fucking ass, and sure, I got mad at her but I like you and I know you’re going to do what’s right, you’re going to stick by my sister’s side, right?”
“Of course, she’s my best friend and I love her and I got het into this mess,” He nodded along as I spoke
“Well Jimmy, you’re a good kid,” He said with a smile before sliding me a beer
Charlie’s P.O.V
I told Rosie about everything that happened at the park, from me protecting my baby for the first time to Jimmy saying he wanted to keep it and come to the doctors tomorrow with me, Rosie’s going to be there too for moral support, once we started to hear laughing from downstairs we decided it would be a good time to go down and see what was going on.
We walked into the kitchen to see Emmet and Jimmy drinking a beer and talking about guy shit, I couldn’t help but smile
“Hey there she is!” Emmet exclaimed, walking over to me and pulling me into a hug “I’m glad it was Jimmy who knocked ya up, I always knew you guys would have a baby one day,” He slurred a whisper into my ear and I could smell on his breath he had drank one too many.
“Hey Charles, your brother’s a little wasted so I say, we go over to Matt’s, join the guys?” Jimmy hinted
“Alright, Em, that alright with you?” I asked Emmet who was making out with Rosie as Jimmy pulled me to his side
“Of course! You kids go have fun, I mean, you’re already pregnant so what other shenanigans can you get up to?” He asked with a laugh “And don’t worry about coming home, we’re gonna be doing… yano, couple stuff,”
“Ew gross, alright, I’ll see you in the morning Rosie, have a good night,” I teased, grabbing my keys and following Jimmy out to my car.
It was about 9.30 when I pulled up outside Matt’s house, his garage door was open so we knew that’s where they would be. We’d decided to tell the guys tonight and Jimmy warned me that Brian already knew.
“Hey there they are!” Johnny shouted from inside the garage
“Hey here we are!” Jimmy and I shouted back as we walked into the garage to join the guys.
Brian was sitting in front of the laptop on the makeshift desk, Johnny was fucking around on his bass guitar, Zacky was hanging upside down on the sofa while Matt was sitting on the recliner with Val on his lap
“My god girl do you ever sit on your own chair?” I asked Val sarcastically as she stood to hug me
“No, so don’t temp me to sit on you,” She said, narrowing her eyes and pointing a long skinny finger at me
“Give it a few months and then I’ll sit on you,” I laughed and Jimmy cleared his throat from behind me, before stepping forward and wrapping his long arms around me from behind, placing his hands on my stomach
“What do you mean?” Matt asked, cocking an eyebrow
“We’re… uh… having a baby,” Jimmy said, choking at first, but then spoke proudly
“Oh my GOD!” Val screamed excitedly running back over the room and hugging me again “I can’t believe it! You’re pregnant?!” She shrieked
“Yeah, I am!” I squealed back
“Congratulations man,” Matt said proudly to Jimmy, pulling him into a man hug before Zacky, Brian and Johnny gave him one too before they all hugged me. There were plenty of questions to be asked like; how far along? Do you have a picture? And other things about the baby but Brian was the one to ask the thing on everyone’s mind
“How did it happen?” Jimmy looked so happy to answer so I let him have this one, he boasted about how I asked what sex was like and then actually agreed to let him show me when he didn’t think I would.
After half an hour the story was finally over, my cheeks were burning at how much detail Jimmy went into but I didn’t want to ruin this moment for him, I knew he liked to boast about the girls he slept with, but I’d never seen him this proud.
“Well I’m hungry and sleepy, baby Rev is stealing all my food and energy,” I yawned
“Why don’t we go get some food on the way to my place? We’ll tell my mom and sisters when we get there and then you can crash,”
“That sounds good, you ready to tell your mom she’s going to be a grandmother?” I asked with a laugh
“No,” Jimmy laughed
“Good luck dude, let us know how it works out,” Matt called after we said our goodbyes and headed out.
On the way to Jimmy’s we stopped and grabbed a McDonalds and I let Jimmy drive so that I could stuff my face. As we got closer to his house I could see how nervous he was getting, his mother loved him but she was all about marriage before babies and everything.
“Jim, you don’t have to tell them tonight, it’s 11.30, leave it until the morning,” I told him, placing my hand on his
“Alright Charles, I’ll wait until everyone’s awake enough to understand what’s going on,” He sighed “I still can’t believe this, I mean, I’m happy and everything and I’ve always wanted a family but I never imagined it being so soon, or with you for that matter,” He said with a huge smile on his face
“Yeah, I never imagined I’d be carrying your baby,” I laughed as he parked my car in his drive and jumped out, running around to my side so he could help me out the car “Jimmy, you don’t have to do that just yet, I’m not fat yet,” I teased, punching his shoulder
“Well you’re fragile, I don’t want anything to happen to you or the baby,” He said sweetly, leading me towards his house.
His mom was still awake with his youngest sister, Scarlett asleep beside her with her head on her lap as she watched late night TV, she greeted us when we walked inside and said that it was alright for me to spend the night, I’d done it many times before anyway.
“Aren’t you gonna stay with me?” I asked Jimmy as he went to leave the room after giving me one of his cut-offs to wear to bed and helping me in
“I was gonna go sleep in Scar’s bed since she’ll go to mom’s room,” He said, pointing his thumb over his shoulder and down the hallway, I pouted “But if you want me to stay with you, I will,” He caved and I smiled widely and moved over in his single bed creating space for him to get in beside me.
“Goodnight Jim,” I yawned, resting my head on his chest as he wrapped a long arm around my shoulders
“Night Charles,” He whispered and kissed my forehead as I started to fall asleep.
