Zacky drives like an idiot to the hospital where Papa Gates and Junior Gates are now recovering, leaving Lizzy to wonder how any of them actually passed their drivers tests in the first place. She's had enough of seeing her family members confined to hospital beds to last her a lifetime.
Her Dad is going to be discharged tomorrow, and she'll move back home so she can look after him- but then she'll have to come and see Brian everyday.

She hasn't told anyone about meeting Larry, or handing him back the file, because she hoped he'd take her warning to heart and stop following her around. Zacky parks haphazardly across two spaces in a parking lot, and the two of them break into a run as they burst through the hospital doors, almost knocking over an elderly lady in a wheelchair and the female nurse who was pushing her.
Lacey, wearing a dress and heels that looked more suited for a hot date than for someone looking for their unconscious boyfriend, was biting her nail nervously.

"Oh thank god you two are here! They just finished pumping the alcohol out of him, I'm freaking out!" she cries as Lizzy grabs her arms and lets the girl drag her towards the hospital room, Zacky close on their heels. Lacey comes to a halt outside of one hospital room and gestures for Lizzy to go in first. Sat up, Brian was staring at the door, watching the worry on his sister's face as she started at him.
"BRIAN YOU FUCKING IDIOT!" Lizzy yells almost happily and throws herself at her brother, wrapping her arms around his neck so tightly, he feels like the breath's being sucked out of him.

She's crying, huge big baby sobs that make him hold her tighter, and curse himself for being so stupid. Liquor he'd always said was the answer to all his problems, but this time it just made him sick, got him into hospital, and shredding his little sister's nerves. He hates himself for making her so worried.
"I won't do it again, Liz, I promise I won't. Sssh, don't cry sweetheart, it's OK..." Brian says, running his hand over her hair and kissing her cheek softly, hoping that she'll calm down a little. She nods a little, and hugs him again, wiping away some escaping tears.

"Don't forget that I love you, OK? I don't want to see you get hurt, Bri, and I don't want to see you like this. When they told me you'd had your stomach pumped...I didn't know what to think"
"I'm not gonna be drinking for a while, sweetheart, it's OK"
"Good. I'm gonna help you get better, Brian. Even if I'm on the other side of the country"

When Lizzy pulls away, Lacey sits on the edge of Brian's bed and stares at him for a moment before grabbing the back of his neck and crashing her lips against his, wrapping her arms around his torso. It's a moment of surprise before Brian responds and Lizzy finds sanctity in Zacky's arms as she watches her brother fall in love.

"I wanted to say exactly what Lizzy said, but she kind of stole the words from me. I love you Brian. And no matter what my brother says, I am not leaving your side" she whispers as he pulls away and he kisses her forehead, stroking the side of her cheek.

"I love you too Lace. And even if your brother kills me, that love won't ever stop, OK honey?" he replies and kisses her again, leaving Lizzy and Zacky to look up at each other happily. They look so damn adorable, like two little puppies.
"Alright, so what's this I hear about my son getting his stomach---oh, am I interrupting?" her Dad's voice suddenly erupts and Lizzy turns to see him in a wheelchair and being pushed into the room, normally clothed and looking pretty healthy for someone who was recovering from a heart attack.

Both Lacey and Brian break apart and turn to look at him, as Lizzy smiles, walking over to stand next to her Dad.
"Well?" he asks and the pair of them look at each other, Lacey blushing and biting her lip as she stared over at her almost father in law.
"Dad, this is Lacey. My girlfriend" he says sheepishly, and Lacey gets up, holding her hand out to the man, who shakes it with a smile.

"Now someone's finally tamed Brian I hope. It's nice to meet you Lacey. And Brian- why are you in hospital? Lizzy said you just got your stomach pumped" he says, and glares over at Brian, who looks down at his hands guiltily. Lizzy rolls her eyes and pats her Dad on the shoulder.
"Leave him alone, Dad. Lacey is Matt's little sister, he doesn't approve of their relationship" she says softly and he nods, a sudden understanding washing over him.

"I'm sure he'll come around to it at some point" Dad says, and Lacey smiles warmly, suddenly coming to like the strange man both Lizzy and Brian called their father.
"How's Lisa by the way? I know you probably don't want me to ever see her, but you know...she's my kid. You've taken care of her so well, I just want to know how's she doing..." Brian Sr said and Lizzy looked down at her hands.

"She's good. A real wordsworth. Listen, Daddy, we really want you to spend some time with her, show her what it's like to have a Dad as awesome as you. We're just her siblings- she needs a proper parent" Lizzy mumbles, glaring over at Brian who nods. It's taken time, but he's forgiven his father.
"I'd like that"

Suddenly, Zacky's phone buzzes and he pulls it out, pressing the screen a few times before looking up at everyone else, a small smile forming on his face.
"I guess our ninja work did pretty well" he says with a smirk.

"Jimmy taught Lisa how to dial 911. She called that number when he wasn't looking, and when they threatened to arrest Jimmy- he reported Larry. The L man's just been arrested"
