Chapter Fourteen
It’s been five months since I had Jimmy Junior, my nineteenth birthday came and past and now I’m standing in a room with Cassandra who is now engaged to Brian, Johnny’s girlfriend Mandy, Brian's sister McKenna and Brians’s mom and dad.
“Brice sweetie you look amazing.” Cassandra said handing me Jimmy Junior to me for a minute.
“He better not puke on that dress.” Brian’s dad said
I smiled and kissed Jimmy’s forehead and handed him back to Cassandra so Mr. Haner wouldn’t get mad. Jimmy Junior had on a little tuxedo onsie, he looked so cute. McKenna had on dark purple knee length dress, it was strapless and Cassandra and Mandy wore a tealish knee length dress with one strap but they both looked amazing in them. I looked in the mirror at my white floor length dress, it had a corset top and it was flowy at the bottom. I wore my black and white Chuck Taylors and the tiara that held my veil in my hair was black.
“You ready?” His dad asked me.
I looked around and McKenna, Cassandra, and Mandy were waiting by the door in line. McKenna first because she was the maid of honor, Cassandra and Mandy second and third because they were my bridesmaids. I clutched my bouquet to my chest.
“Yes.” I said
The girls walked out slowly and Jimmy made some cute little baby noise as Cassandra hit the aisle. Then I heard the song that was supposed to be the bridal march start to play. We decided to play So Far Away from the boy’s album Nightmare. They put it out a few months after Jimmy passed. I held my breath as I marched out to So Far Away with Brian’s dad on my arm. Brian’s dad kissed my cheek and gave me away to Zacky, I handed McKenna my bouquet and Cassandra smiled and handed me Jimmy Junior. The wedding was about over and I looked over and saw Zacky’s mom and my mom in tears.
“Zachary James Baker do you take Brice Austyn Carter to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?” The pastor asked
“I do.” Zacky said
“And Brice Austyn Carter do you take Zachary James Baker to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?” The pastor asked looking at me
“I do.” I said
“You may now kiss the bride.” He said
Zacky leaned over Jimmy Junior and kissed me. Someone took a wedding photo and we all went to the wedding reception.
I left the reception for a few minutes to check on Jimmy Junior and heard someone having sex in the closet of the party hall.
“Oh Matt I missed you.” I heard a girl giggle.
“I missed you too Val, I’m glad you’ve changed.” Matt said back
Oh no he didn’t bring that bitch to my wedding reception; I quickly walked back to where Zacky was and looked at him.
“What’s frustrating you baby?” He asked kissing my nose
“Matthew Sanders.” I said
“What did he do?” Zacky asked
“He brought her.” I said
“Brought who?” He asked tilting his head to the left
“Valary DiBenedetto.” I said
“The fuck he didn’t. Where are they?” He asked
“Don’t do anything here, I mean they’re all coming over tonight anyways. I’ll just text him.” I said
I pulled my phone out of Zacky’s pocket and texted Matt.
-Tonight when you come over bring your Valary too. And while your back there don’t wake the baby.-
I put my phone back in Zacky’s pocket and grabbed my bouquet.
“Time to throw.” I smiled raising my eyebrows.
I walked up to the stage and announced that it was time to throw the bouquet. I wonder who was going to catch it. Johnny caught my garter when Zack tossed it, maybe Mandy would catch the bouquet. I turned my back and threw it into the crowd of women.
“All hell no.” I heard Brian say.
I looked to see that McKenna had caught it. I laughed and walked over to Brian. “Let her go.” I said as I passed him.
