YAY! IHOP!
-fast forward 2 months-
Celestia was finally in her groove as a roadie, and was still able to keep her identity as secret from everyone. She had made some new friends, of course there were not very many people her age on the road except for the band members which surprisingly she had made some friends of. The Rev was a great friend, so was Johnny Christ, So was James Michael, Jacoby Shaddix & Tobin. But she often referred to Syn & DJ as annoying, DJ was always shamelessly flirting with her & Syn always followed her around like a lost puppy.
Celestia was taking a break scoping out catering for some lunch, but nothing struck her fancy. She had to remember to get the Crue to order something different, soon! It was the same thing every stop.
“Nothing too appetizing huh?” M. Shadows said standing beside Celestia.
“Nope as always.” Celestia said grabbing a water.
“Well if you’d like to I could break us out of here & for a bit so we can get some real food, I mean if you want.” Matt said shifting awkwardly
”That would be great but how are you going to manage this?” Celestia questioned jokingly
“Don’t you worry about that, just meet me out back in 5 minutes.” Matt said smirking
“OK deal.” Celestia said watching Matt walk off. She sneaked into her dad’s dressing room and grabbed some cash & shoved it in her pocket then proceeded to the back lot where Matt told her to meet him. And soon Matt was in a car in front of her, she hoped in quickly & he drove them off down the road.
”So how did you get these wheels Matt?” Celestia said as she looked for a good restaurant.
“I borrowed them from some local guy working security tonight, I gave him a few autographs, photos, the usual & he let me borrow his ride to go out for some grub with a very beautiful woman.” Matt said glancing at her.
“Thanks Matt but I….YES!! STOP THE CAR, IHOP IHOP IHOP!!!” Celestia said bouncing in her seat.
”I guess we’re going to IHOP.” Matt said chuckling at Celestia's behavior as he drove the car into the parking lot of IHOP.
They got a table & placed their orders & began talking while waiting on their food.
“So what made you get into the business of being a roadie?” Matt asked as they sipped on their drinks
“Well it wasn’t my first choice, but due to the economy it’s what I got. Besides being able to listen to awesome music, see the country, and work closely with some of my favorite bands it isn’t that bad.” Celestia said giving Matt a coy smile.
“Oh so am I in one of those favorite bands?” Matt asked, flirting
“Maybe, for all you know I hate your band.”
“I doubt that highly or you wouldn’t put up with Jimmy & Johnny’s crap.”
“True” she said nodding as the waitress came back with their food.
“I’m not suppose to do this but, you’re M. Shadows aren’t you?” the young waitress asked Matt
“Yes I am, I’m guessing you’re a fan?” Matt said offering the girl a warm smile.
“You have no idea! Can I get your autograph & maybe a picture?” the waitress asked
“Of course you can.”
Celestia just watched in awe as how this bad-ass larger than life rock star was such a sweetheart to his fans. ‘Maybe there are more nice rock stars like dad & my uncles’ Celestia thought to herself.
“You’re pretty, are you two a dating?” the waitress asked Celestia, breaking her out of her thoughts.
“No. We’re just friends.” Celestia replied blushing
“Well I think you two would make a cute couple. Thanks Shadows, hope you two enjoy your food.” the waitress said before walking off to let the two eat their lunch.
“So just friends huh?” Matt asked
“Uh, yeah, I mean this is just lunch right?” Celestia asked kind of nervous of where this conversation going.
“Yeah but I wouldn’t mind people thinking you’re my girlfriend.” Matt said winking at Celestia making her swoon inside.
Back at the arena with Avenged Sevenfold:
Jimmy, Johnny & Zacky were on the bus playing a video game when Brian came in from an interview.
“YOU FUCKING CHEATER!!!” Zacky said tackling Jimmy to the floor of the bus
“I DON’T CHEAT YOU JUST SUCK!!” Jimmy said as the two friends rolled around trying to hit each other.
“What the fuck are you idiots doing?” Brian asked
“We were playing Mario Cart & Jimmy cheated.” Johnny explained in amusement at watching his friends & band mates fight on the floor.
“I didn’t cheat I tell you, Zacky just SUCKS.” Jimmy said slapping at his friend
“And where is Matt in all this?” Brian asked
Suddenly the guys stopped & popped up from the floor.
“We were sworn to not to tell.” Jimmy & Zacky said zipping their lips
“So does the midget know?” Brian asked looking at Johnny who was looking at anything but Brian.
“Yep he knows.” Brian said “So Johnny remember that night you got drunk & had that embarrassing thing happen with that girl in New Orleans?”
“You promised you wouldn’t tell!!” Johnny exclaimed
“And I won’t. All you have to do is tell me where Matt is.” Brian replied nonchalantly
“Don’t you spill you little gnome!” Zacky said knowing Brian would be pissed when he found out Matt is out with his ‘prize’.
“Wait what happened in New Orleans?” Jimmy asked confused
“Ok, ok, ok, Matt wanted lunch from somewhere other than catering & he asked Celestia to go with him & they left together about 45 minutes ago.” Johnny spilled out.
Brian’s jaw clenched and he just nodded, Zacky shook his head feeling sorry for Celestia. Brian just got up & went to leave the bus.
“Hey where you going man?” Johnny asked
“I think I’m hungry for something other than catering too.” Brian replied
"Ooo can I come?” Jimmy asked quickly following Brian
“Sure I don’t care.” Brian mumbled getting keys from a roadie to use their car
“Yay! Food!” Jimmy said
“Well then me & Johnny are coming too.” Zacky said
“We are?” Johnny asked following the rest of his friends
“Sure short shit, we’ll get you something from the kids menu.” Jimmy said walking beside Johnny as they all climbed in the car.
Brian drove off rather quickly, he was like a hunter & he was in such of his prey, Celestia.
At IHOP with Matt & Celestia:
Matt & Celestia were having a surprisingly great time in each others company. They kept trying to make eachother laugh between eating.
“OK that might be a little funny.” Matt said chuckling taking a sip of his soda
“Might be a little funny? honey its not funny its down right hilarious you’re just too man enough to admit it.” Celestia said taking a bite of her food.
“I will never tell...” Matt said looking at Celestia, she was so beautiful to him, he was really beginning to take a liking to her. He was snapped out of his thoughts when a loud group came through the door of the restaurant. Matt looked up from his plate after recognizing the voices.
“Fuck...” Matt muttered louder than he intended to
“What?” Celestia asked turning her attention to the people Matt were looking at
“Maybe they won't see us..” Matt said
“What do you...” Celestia began but was cut off by the voices
“Well look at here, are we interrupting something?” Jimmy asked playfully
“Actually..” Matt began before he was cut off
“We just figured you forgot to wait on us so we just came so we could eat lunch with you & our favorite roadie.” Brian said staring at Celestia with his deep dark brown eyes making her squirm.
“Well unfortunately I have to go...” Celestia said after being trapped in the booth by Brian & Jimmy. Matt & Brian looked at her saddened.
“Don’t leave on our account shortcake.” Zacky said
“It’s not y’all I just should be getting back to the arena by now.” Celestia said looking at her watch.
“Well at least let me drive you back.” Matt offered
“No that’s fine you stay with the guys, I need walk off this meal anyway.” Celestia said trying to budge the bigger guys beside her
“I’ll walk with you, you shouldn’t be walking alone in a strange city anyway.” Brian offered causing Matt to glare at him
“No please have a good lunch I’ll be on my way.” Celestia said standing on the seat of the booth then walking on the table to get out before hopping down.
“Thanks for lunch Matt.” Celestia said offering a smile before walking off.
Celestia paid for the entire bill without Matt knowing & walked out of the restaurant heading back to the arena.
“What in the hell are you guys really doing here?” Matt asked
“Same thing as you, we’re hungry.” Brian said smirking at his friend before the guys placed their orders. Matt just shook his head, crossing his arms over his chest.
Little did Celestia know there were now 3 men fighting for her affections, but only 1 with pure intentions....for now anyway.
The oath made me laugh.. I think Celestia and Matt would be great together... just saying
