The Bet

Celestia got back to the arena & sighed today was already a long one & it wasn't even over yet.

Celestia tried to block everything that happened at lunch out of her mind, although she hated to admit she did love seeing Matt’s infamous dimpled smile while they were having lunch. Shaking her head she threw herself into working hoping the day would go by quicker if she did.

“Celestia!” a male voice called after her, she recognised it & tried to flee but to no avail

“Yes? Brian what can I do for you?” Celestia asked him in an annoyed voice

“I just wanted to say sorry.” Brian said standing in front of her

“Sorry for what?” Celestia asked tossing the cables she was holding in her arms on stage to the tech’s.

“For earlier, I didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable or interrupt your lunch with Matt. I just thought, you know, we were all friends & it was a harmless lunch for you two.” Brian explained seeming really sincere, but Celestia looked at him skeptical but decided to give a chance

“It’s fine Brian, it was a harmless lunch so no hard feelings. Just next time warn someone.” Celestia said giving him a polite smile & a hug.

Brian wrapped his arms around Celestia’s waist, pulling her fully against him. He had to admit he loved the way she felt against him, he could get use to her in his arms. ‘Fuck. No Gates, remember the bet, just hit it, quit it & get your payout from DJ.’ Brian tried reminding himself as Celestia pulled away from him

“I got to get back to work, I’ll see you later.” Celestia said walking away from Brian before he could object, leaving him to watch her, he scanned her body the way her hair swayed with her steps, to her ass. ‘This is going to be like candy from a baby’ Brian thought walking off from his spot.

Celestia was walking down the hallway of the arena when some grabbed her, pulling her down another hallway that was more secluded & deserted.

“What the hell?! Matt?” Celestia said cursing the person before turning around to realize it was Matt

“What the hell is your problem?” she snapped glaring at him

“I just wanted to tell you thanks for lunch & that you didn't have to pay. Here please take your money back.” Matt said holding out the exact amount of money she’d paid the waitress.

“Are you mental?! You grabbed me & scared the living shit out of me to pay me back? Dear God what am I saying this is a guy that sings about killing people in ‘A Little Piece of Heaven’.” Celestia said running her hands through her hair feeling a headache coming on.

“Ah, so you are a fan.” Matt smirked trying to lighten the mood

“Ok let’s get this clear, I’m a roadie, you’re a lead singer, we’re friends, friends buy each other lunch. But if you & your crazy band mate Brian don’t quit popping out of my ass today & being so fucking confusing with this flirting shit not only am I going to shove that money in your hand up your ass but I’m going to shove your mic & his guitar up both your asses.” Celestia said before walking off leaving Matt with his jaw on the floor, no woman had EVER called him OR Brian out on their shit. Which reminded him what the hell is up with Brian?

Celestia walked down the hallways bound for her dad’s dressing room, she needed her dad he had been tied up with interviews & Sixx Sense all day that she hadn't seen him all day & right now she needed a hug.

All of a sudden someone stopped her, again.

“Hey Celestia what's up?” DJ asked

“My blood pressure.” Celestia said rolling her eyes

“Um, sorry I asked?” DJ said

“I’m sorry DJ, just been a long day. Really kicked my ass.”

“That sucks I hate days like that. Anything I can do to help?” DJ asked sweetly

“Not unless you have a shot of Jack.” Celestia chuckled

“Well now that you mention it.” DJ said nudging her playfully

“Of course you do, you are a rockstar. But I better not, still on the job.”

“Well maybe after the show you can at least have one glass.”

“Yeah maybe, we’ll see. I got to get back to work now, but I’ll catch you later.” Celestia said trying to end their conversation.

“I look forward to it darling.” DJ said as he turned & walked away from her,

Celestia made sure he was gone before quickly going to Nikki’s dressing room, bursting through the door causing Nikki to look up at his daughter from his laptop strangely.

“Running from the police?” Nikki asked shutting his laptop

“Ugh. No, just a rough day.” Celestia said plopping down on the couch in her father’s dressing room.

“Want to talk about it?” Nikki asked as Celestia laid her head on his shoulder

“No I think I just need to chill out the rest of the night, the show is about to start anyway.”

“You’re not going to watch the show?”

“No I think I’m going to skip it tonight & head to the bus while everyone is on stage so I can just relax.” Celestia said sighing

“Ok baby girl, just hide out in here, with the old man.” Nikki said kissing the top of Celestia’s head

“Thanks dad.” Celestia said hugging Nikki.

“You’re welcome, now I need to get ready.” Nikki said getting up from the couch to get ready.

“Ok dad, have fun with that.” Celestia said laying on the couch, pulling out her phone, checking her messages.

All the usual suspects had texted her, her siblings back in California, some friends but what really stuck out was her best friend Alyssa’s text.

‘Call me when you get this I got great news. Love ya!’

Sighing, in need of good news, Celestia dialed her number while watching her dad put on his face paint.

“Well it’s about fucking time! What the hell?” Alyssa asked answering the phone, causing Celestia to chuckle

“Sorry, it’s been a long day. So what is this great news?”

“Oh yeah, ok so I know you’re on tour with your dad, and the next stop is Las Vegas, Nevada.” Alyssa said, she was one of the only people that knew Nikki was Celestia’s dad.

“Are you tracking our movements, stalker?” Celestia asked as Nikki asked for her opinion on her face paint for the night, she gave him a thumbs up.

“Yes, now shut up.”

“Ok, I’m listening.”

“Alright so I got us 2 tickets to go see the Guns N’ Roses benefit concert for the hurricane relief efforts on the east coast!” Alyssa said excitedly

“That’s awesome! I thought that was a high class thing & was sold out?” Celestia asked as Nikki kissed her forehead walking out to start the show.

“Hey I have connections, so do you want to go?”

“Hell yeah! The bands all have appearances to do that night but I’ll be free, so I’ll meet you at the Hard Rock Hotel?”

“Yeah, that sounds great I’ll see you in a couple of days.”

“Ok girl talk to you later love ya.” Celestia said

“Love ya too girl” Alyssa said as the friends hung up.
