~~~ Bella's pov ~~~

as I showered, I decided that I had to get my life straight and stop letting other people throw me off track. I've let people do that my whole life, and my whole life I've been miserable. As soon as I got ready I headed down to the living room to ask Val if she wanted to join me to our parents house. But to my dismay I couldn't find her anywhere. So I raced back up the steps and saw her bedroom door slightly cracked.

" Val" I softly said, pushing the door open slightly more. I cautiously walked in, mildly nervous if she was upset with me or not. As I made my way further I could hear her humming a song from her walk in closet. I knocked twice to get her attention.

" Sorry for barging in, I just wanted to see if you would like to come with me?" I said meekly, ready to have my offer shot down.

" Of course I would!!" She beamed, which was a pleasant surprise. I knew she didn't actually know that I ran away and planned on not coming back. But I guess my own guilt was weighing heavily on me. I hopped up on her bed and we chatted while she finished getting ready. In that moment I was truly glad that I came back and didn't shut out my family.


" Bella! My baby! I'm so glad your here. Val was telling me last night that you weren't feeling well" Debbie blurted out as soon as we walked in the door. I quickly looked to Val who shot me a wink. God, some sister I am. Since I've been here adultery has been committed and I've have people lying for me. People who I haven't even been completely honest with, but I was grateful that she covered for me.

" oh ya I must have eaten something bad..... But Val took very good care of me" I said, smiling over at Val. As Debbie pulled me into a hug I mouthed a quick " thank you" to Val. We all sat around the table and chatted away as we ate our lunch. Nick was at work so it was just the three of us gals. We so caught up in our conversation that none if us noticed the front door shut as someone came in.

" Mom!" Michelle called as she came in. My eyes went wide at the sound of her voice and I wanted to run. I looked to Val who had the same deer in headlights look that I had. Which was not comforting in any way.

" Mo........" Michelle began but went silent as soon as she saw me.

" oh Michelle, come sit down sweetie. Ill make you a sand which" Debbie cooed, jumping up from her chair to do so. Michelle didn't respond she just kept staring at me with a disgusted glare.

" Sorry mom, maybe some other time" she said. Just then the front door slammed shut and Brian now joined us. I did my best to ignore his presence all together but I could see his little smirk out of the corner of my eye.

" hey Debbie" Brian called over to her.

" Well hey there Brian. Have a seat I'm just making some more sandwiches" Debbie said sweetly as she pulled the bread out of the cupboard.

" mom we can't stay, we've got a lot of stuff to do today" Michelle said after her first statement went unnoticed.

" No Michelle, we have time" Brian chuckled as he pulled out a chair and joined us at the table. Michelle huffed in frustration and joined us as well. Once Debbie was done with the sandwiches she hurried back Over to the table, setting them down in the middle.

" So Bella, what's new?" Brian asked, staring over at me. I wanted to punch him in his cocky little face but I didn't want to involve our mom in all this drama. I simply rolled my eyes at him and looked away.

" Be careful Brian, she might think you want to fuck her!" Michelle spat as she glared at me once again. Debbie and Val's mouths both dropped open as they looked over to Michelle, not able to believe what just came out of her mouth.

" Michelle Louise!!" Debbie screeched once she had gotten over the initial shock.

" What mom?! It's true! Your precious little Bella is telling everybody that Brian wants her!" Michelle shot back, crossing her arms defiantly over her chest.

" oh Michelle get off it already!! " Val snapped. I just sat there not knowing what to say or do. I was absolutely mortified beyond belief.

" miche...." Debbie began before she was cut off by Michelle.

" Go ahead mom! Go ahead and defend your precious little Bella! Who we hardly even know to begin with! She's probably some psycho!" Michelle growled. Wih that I got up and left the house. My whole positive outlook pep talk I gave myself in the shower early had went out the window. I just kept walking, I wasn't exactly sure where I was going but anywhere away from Brian and Michelle was a start.
