Just Because You're Dead, Doesn't Mean I Can't Love You
Marie and Alcide
We began to walk down the beach with the lady and suddenly there was a tree in the middle of the sand, then more and more and more until we were in the middle of the forest. “Hey October who is she?” Johnny asked. “She’s my two thousand plus year old friend.” She said. All five of us stopped and looked at them. They both stopped and looked at us. “What’s the problem? “The lady asked “I don’t want to be rude but who are you and where are we?” Matt asked. “My name is Marie and we are at my house.” I shook my head. “You really expect us to believe that you over two thousand years old?” she laughed and said. “I don’t give a damn what you believe.” Then turned and started walking and October followed.
The five of us stood there staring at them. October stopped and looked at us. “You guys coming?” She asked. We looked at each other and shrugged. “COMEING!” Jimmy screamed before taking off and jumping on her back. She took three steps before collapsing to the ground making Jimmy fall. They laid there until we got to them. October turned her head and looked at me then said “Die potato.” And tackled me to the ground and pined my hands above my head. “You’re an ass but I forgive you.” She told me. “You really forgive me?” I asked. She let go of my hands and nodded then said. ”Yep but, if you piss me off again I’ll have Jimmy, Johnny or Alcide kick your ass.”
“Who’s Alcide?” We all asked. “That’s Alcide.” Marie said suddenly appearing next to Johnny. We all screamed at her sudden appearance then slowly turned our heads and saw what had to be the world’s biggest…….I don’t even knew what it was but it was. “ALCEAD!” October screamed and ran over it….him……I don’t even know. “I missed you.” Ok so it’s a guy. “You wouldn’t miss me if you visited more.” She mumbled. “You know why I couldn’t come.” “Yea, yea they were hunting your people and you couldn’t risk leaving I’ve heard it all before.” Marie rolled her eyes and said, “Not that we all know each other let’s go inside.”
We walked in side and there were bottles hanging from the ceiling and I’m sure that there were body parts in some of them. “Sit down on your bones.” Marie told us. When we were all sitting down she grabbed something off the table and threw it past Zack’s head. “Put on a shirt Alcide.” I turned and saw October standing next to this guy with tribal tattoos but no shirt that had his hand on her waste. I could feel the anger welling up inside of me.
“October go get me a shirt.” Alcide told her. She looked at him like he was crazy then said. “Get your own damn shirt.” He kissed the top of her head then said “You’ll make a wonderful wife to someone one day.” Then he walked out the room. October looked around the room then threw her hands up in the air and said. “Nice guys really nice.” She walked over to me and sat on my lap. “Do I look like a chair?” I asked. “Wow Marie you have talking furniture.” She said with a big smile. I rolled my eyes and wrapped my arms around her waist.
“Now we must fix this.” Marie said as she got up and walked out the room. “DIDN’T I TELL YOU TO PUT ON A SHIRT?!” she yelled from the other room. “Well I didn’t find one.” Alcide said. There was a loud crash then another and another and Alcide came running out of the other room with bottles flying past his head. October reached out and grabbed his hand and one of the bottles flew through his stomach. “Good looking out short stuff.” He said kissing her cheek. I wrapped my arms around her tighter. “Found it.” Marie said walking in to the room.
“What where you looking for?” October asked. She held up a small bowl and said. “Now let’s solve your problem.”
“What’s my problem?” October asked.
“Well other than the fact that your cursed nothing.”
October eyes got wide. “I’m cursed?” Marie nodded then grabbed one of the bottles from the ceiling and opened it then poured some powder in her hand. She looked at the bottle then back at her hand then shrugged and threw the contents in her hand over her shoulder and poured the rest in the bowl.
“When did I become cursed?” Marie grabbed three more bottles and said. “The day you were born. I told your mother not to marry the man. His family is filled with nothing but evil. But no one ever listens to me.” ”Alcide hand me that bottle with the deadly nightshade.” Alcide tossed her the bottle as October raised her hand and said. “I do.” “That’s because you’re a good girl now you five boys I will need your help.” We all looked at each other then back at her. “The five of us?” Zack asked. She nodded. “What do we have to do?” I asked. “Give blood.” she said.
“Hell no I’m out.” Matt said as he stood up and walked to the door but Alcide stepped in front of it. Now Matt is a big guy but Alcide made him look tinny as hell. Matt turned on his heels and sat back down in his seat.
“It’s not that much just a drop from each or October can be pledged by nightmares and soon her anger, fear and sadness will consume her and she will disappear forever. But only after she destroys the world.” Marie said adding more things in to the bowl.
“I’M GOING TO WHAT!” October screamed. “You’re going to nothing because we’re going to give blood right.” I said the guys all nodded. Marie smiled and said. “Good.” She pulled out a sharp blade. “Now each of you come over here and hold out your arms. October go stand by Alcide.” We all did what we were told and Marie pulled a cloth out of no were and tied all five of our wrist together then cut across all of our arms at once slicing so deep that you would expect it to hurt but it didn’t. The blood started gushing out and all of it landed in the bowl. “Very good.” She said and she untied us and wiped the cloth across our cut and they disappeared. Zack went snow white, Jimmy was looking at his arm, Johnny passed out and Matt caught him just in the nick of time.
She began to throw more things in to the bowl making it burst in to purple flames. They soon died down she grabbed bone off the table and crushed it, dropped it in to the bowel and just stared at it.
I turned and saw Alcide whisper something in to October’s ear and she began to giggle. And I could feel anger raging up in side. “October come here.” Marie said. October walked over and the blood began to sizzle then burst in to flames. When the fire went down Marie handed her the bowl and said. “Drink.” She looked at her like she was crazy and said. ”Like hell.”
“Do you want your nightmares to go away?”
“Yes.”
“Then dink it. It will help keep your emotions in check around your friends.”
October looked at the bowl then back at us. Then shrugged her shoulders and downed it. Making me, Matt, Zack, and Jimmy pass out just like short shit.
