Chapter Ten
*Alex's POV*
I saw Adrian walking towards the water so, I decided to follow her.
"I'm glad your talking to me again," Adrian stated.
"I'm glad too, not talking to you was killing me," I said back, wrapping my arm around my shoulder.
"Well, it was kind of your fault, though," She looked up at me.
We stopped once the water was at my knees, mid thigh for Adrian, because she's so short.
"Yeah, I know, I was being stupid," I looked down at me. God, even though we were best friends, I've always had a huge crush on her.
"Yes, you were." She said chuckling.
"So, is our band going to be able to practice with Avenged Sevenfold? Considering their lead guitarist is your dad?"
"Event-" I cut her off by kissing her.
She hesitated at first, then she kissed me back. I didn't know what I was doing, she had always been my crush, I haven't ever done anything about that until now.
We pulled apart, my arms now around her waist.
"I'm sorry," I said looking down, embarrassed.
"Don't be. You don't know how long I was waiting for that to happen," She said back with a nervous chuckle.
"Hey, you lovebirds!" Nick called out. "We're leaving!"
"Oh, uh, let's go," I said, taking her hand.
She didn't say anything, she just smiled and started walking with me.
"Sooo," She started when we got out of the water. "Does this mean we are boyfriend-girlfriend?"
"If you want that," I smirked when I said that.
"Then I guess we are."
We walked the rest of the way back in silence, still holding hands. We crawled into the car, I was sitting between Jimmy and Alex again.
"Alex and Adrian sitting in a tree!" Jimmy started. "K-I-S-S-I-N-G!"
"Jimmy!" Adrian punched him.
"What? Everybody saw you guys!" He rubbed his arm.
"Whatever," She pouted and leaned up against me.
Half of the car ride was quiet, but then Jimmy remembered that Adrian was very ticklish. So, he started to tazer her.
"That's it!" She yelled. "I'm not talking to you for the rest of the day, and all through tomorrow. Starting now!"
"Awh, come on Adrian!" He pouted.
"Don't even try," I started. "She gave me the silent treatment once for a week."
"You took my dino nuggets, and we were five!" She informed.
"Dino nuggets?" Jimmy laughed out. "Brian! Do you still have those?"
"I only have them for you, buddy!" Brian said back.
"When the fuck were you going to tell me about these?" Adrian asked, sitting up straight.
"I didn't know you liked chicken," Brian said back.
"I only eat them 'cause they are shaped like dinosaurs, I don't like chicken at all." She said back.
"Adrian, you are one special person," Bailey inserted.
"Thank you!" Adrian beamed back to Bailey.
The rest of the ride was quiet except for music playing quietly in the background.
