Chapter Sixty-One
*Matty’s POV*
I’m waiting for them. They’re close than I think. And when I find him? He’s going to wish I didn’t. This deed will not go unpunished, I will get my revenge. I’ll kill him. I’ll kill them all. Someone has to pay for what’s been done to my beautiful Bella. A “crazy bitch” they called her. “Slut”, “Whore”, all types of offensive names were thrown her way. Does she care? No. She told me what really happened that night at the club. It was Brian who’d hit on her first. “Oh, I’m your favorite, eh? Why don’t we go somewhere private where you can prove it?” He’d said. I feel bad for Mia, they’re engaged. He’s always been a man-whore, and he probably always will be. What a shame.
Just because she’s dead doesn’t mean our love is. I know she still loves me. I can feel her spiritual presence all around me. I’m keeping her body. After all, Is it such a sin for me to take what’s mine until the end of time?”

Zacky’s POV*
Oh dear God I’m scared. Will he kill me? He’s perfectly capable of doing so. Does he still have the gun he used to shoot Brian? Maybe. I’m more scared for Lucy honestly, I just want this to be over. Goddammit, why’d I have to open my big mouth? I don’t think it’s safe to drive when your hands are as shaky as mine are. I pull into the parking lot of Huntington High. I get out and start to walk around. I notice myself pass the very spot where we’d decided on the name “Avenged Sevenfold” rather than my favorite at the time, “Lips of Deceit.” I walk past the water fountain where Matty had once slammed a guy’s head into because he’d called me a fag. I walked past the basketball courts where I remember shooting hoops with the guys, at least for the short time Jimmy went there anyway. My phone buzzes in my pocket, startling me. I’m way on edge, but it’s probably just Lucy wondering where I am.
You got my girl, now I’ll get yours. Revenge sucks, doesn’t it?-M
Oh. My. God.
He’s not coming here for me, he was never going to.
He’s going to get Lucy, that was his plan all along, wasn’t it?

Lucy’s POV*
Where’s Zacky? He left to go settle things a while ago and I’m starting to worry. Matty wouldn’t hurt him, would he? Well, he did shoot Brian..I guess this could be worse, I could be Mia. Her fiance is in the hospital for a bullet wound from someone he thought was his best friend. She’s so scared and stressed, this can’t be good for her babies. She’s nestled on her bed in her room. Ironically, she’s in a fetal position. She’s cried herself to sleep, which is probably good, she shouldn’t be awake to stress about this.
A loud knock nearly wakes her. It wasn't a knock, more like a demanding pound. What could someone want at this hour? Maybe it’s Jimmy or Johnny, coming to check on Mia and I. I open the door and I’m faced with Matty. Fear instantly takes over my body. His devilish smile was back. Usually when he does this, it makes me swoon, but not today. Had he come to tell me he’d killed Zacky?
“Why hello, Lucy. Lovely evening we're having isn’t it?” He asked with a smirk. I scoffed and replied,
“Maybe a good evening for you, but my best friend’s fiance got shot.” Matty jumped back in fake surprise,
“How terrible! I hope he ends up okay.” He quickly invites himself into the house. I wanted to protest, but how could I? He lives here too. “You two need a man here to protect you from that vicious armed man out there. The world can be a scary place you know. Where’s Mia?”
“She’s in her room, she’s cried herself to sleep.” I say.
“Ooh, poor baby.” Matty shoots back, thick with sarcasm. I roll my eyes. I don’t need his rudeness making my night any more difficult. It’s getting late, where is Zacky?
Lucy, get out of there right now.-Z
What? Why?-L
Matty. He tricked me. He’s after you, take Mia and get.Out.Now.Actually, just stay there. I’ll come get you. Hang tight my love.-Z
I couldn’t even answer. How could I? What was Matty going to do with me? Mia is asleep, so it’s not like there is anyone here to help me. I’m all alone and completely helpless. Zacky is god knows where so I don’t know how long it’s going to take for him to get back here. I’m super scared..
“Lucy..can I see you in the kitchen for a moment?” Matty asked smooth and evil sounding. This felt like something straight out of a horror movie. I didn’t say anything back, but I did walk into the kitchen. I looked around, but I didn’t see Matty. It wasn’t that big of a kitchen, where could he have gone? Maybe he left again and I’m safe.
“Matty?” I asked. I get silence as a response. I turned around and was about to walk about, but not before Matty could slam a knife into my chest.
Matty stabbed me three more times. Each time his blade pierced my skin, the pain got worse. I’m pretty sure he’s aiming for my heart. Thank god I had strength in my arms to prevent that from happening. He smirked and walked away. He did what he wanted to do, and now he was done with me. He wanted to leave me here too die, and for Zacky to come home to a surprise. The same surprise that found him in the park earlier today. Matty started to walk towards Mia’s room.
“You stay away from her!” I shouted with all my strength, of course I got no answer. I’m pretty sure he left the house, thank God. I started to crawl towards Mia’s room, my body rushing with pain.
Mia!” I pleaded, praying she’d wake up. “Mia!!”
