It had been over a month since we found out about the new addition. I stood in the bathroom, looking at myself in the mirror, reaching up to run my fingers through the hair that no longer existed. I'd had my on and off days over the past month. Thankfully today was an on day. I was feeling pretty good. Today was the day that we were all gonna get together and have a cookout and just let loose. I was finally having enough strength to be able to hang out with the guys and actually run the grill. I frowned when my hand met the bare skin, that covered the top of my skull.

"You ok, babe?" I turned to see Kay standing there in the doorway. I smiled as my eyes wandered down her body to the bump that she had started to get.

"I'm fine." I stated. She walked in closer to me, snaking her arms around my waist, taking in my scent.

"It'll grow back." she said, referring to the disgusted look I was giving the mirror. She knew me way too well. I let a smile come across my face.

I looked back to the mirror and the smile had turned back into a frown. I looked so different without any hair. My eyebrows, that were once so perfect on my face were now gone. I had nothing. No soul patch, No hair, and no eyebrows. This was the new me, and I had to get used to it. I hoped that he was only here to stay for a little bit.

"I know, babe." I said, looking down at her as she pulled her head away from my chest. She smiled and reached up, running a hand across my head.

"I don't know if I want it to grow back. I kinda like it." she said. Once again, she was trying to make me feel better. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh, I don't think so. Once this cancer is gone, it's coming right back." I chuckled. Wait. Did I just say when this cancer is gone? I did. That was the first time, since I got sick, that I had said anything remotely related to me ever getting rid of the cancer. This was the attitude that I needed. I liked it. Now all I had to do was keep it up.

"Ok." she smiled. "I don't think that I could handle not seeing you with hair forever." I wrapped my arm around her.

"Don't worry. You won't have to. We should go get the grill started."

We made our way out of the bathroom and down the stairs out onto the patio. It was moderately warm. Perfect for a day like this. I walked over to the grill and prepared it to start the fire. I felt her arms snake around my waist, and her lips kiss my back through the material of my shirt.

"How long is it gonna take you to cook those ribs?" she asked with a smile. I turned to her.

"I don't know. Not too long." I replied, with a confused look, as to why she was asking.

"Well, they're not supposed to be here for another couple hours. Do you think you have a little bit of time for me upstairs?" She bit down on her bottom lip, trying to hide the smile that
I could clearly see shining through.

"I think I can spare a few minutes." I chuckled, and I closed the lid to the grill. She wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me down to her. I smiled against her lips, as my hands trailed down her sides around to her lower back.

I moved my lips from her lips to her neck, biting it gently. A small giggle escaped from her mouth, causing me to pull away and look at her. I stood there for a moment taking in the moment, before taking her hand into mine and leading her back into the house and up the stairs.

I stopped outside the bedroom door and pulled her close to me, slipping my hands underneath her shirt in the process. I buried my face into her neck once again, gently biting, leaving a damp trail up to her ear. I heard a moan escape from the back of her throat. I smiled, as I bit down harder.

She ran her hands underneath my shirt, grasping the bare skin. I turned walking forward, pushing her backward into the doorway. Once to the bed, I stripped off her shirt and laid it on the end of the bed, before pulling off mine, and doing the same, before gently laying her back on the bed, following on top of her. Tangling my fingers in her hair, I bit her neck again, before kissing down her chest til I reached the soft lace. Pushing it away, I kissed the tender flesh that it had covered, just moments before. I felt her body arch beneath me as I took her nipple into my mouth. I let go, raising up, moving to the end of the bed, taking off my plaid shorts. She squirmed. making her way up to the head of the bed.

"Where you goin, Mrs. Baker?" I asked, with a devious grin, grabbing onto her ankle and tugging her back to me a bit. She smiled as she moved onto her knees and crawled back down to me, helping me with my pants. I ran my hands down her front, running over the bump in the front. This turned me on even more. I reached for the button on her jeans, undoing it and pulling them down, and off her body and she did mine.

I crawled on top of her, kissing her neck as I slowly slid myself into her. It wasn't long before we heard the doorbell ring. I let out a growl of disapproval as I pulled out and reached for my clothes.

When we were dressed, we headed back downstairs, allowing the guys to come on in. Luck for us, it was just Matt. I gave him a scowled look as he passed me on the way to the kitchen. He, surprisingly caught on.

"Did I interrupt something?" he asked.

"No." Kay smiled, as I was about to open my mouth and tell him to come back later. It make me angry but I continued to do the whole loved dovey thing while Matt was there.

I walked out onto the patio where Kay was, to get ready to light the grill. I looked over at her with a devious grin.

"I got you later." I stated. She smiled.

"Ok. Mr. Baker." she replied. "You can have all you want."

I grabbed the bottle of lighter fluid and squirted in on the coals, looking out into the ocean, thinking life don't get much better than this.
