Playing With Fire

My whole body was warm and the blankets on top of me weren't helping. I flung the blanket off and stared at the ceiling. After heaving a sigh I stood up and walked out of my bedroom and out to the kitchen. My feet stopped abruptly when I saw Eric and Michelle talking in the dining room.
"Hey Michelle, when did you get here?" I asked, running my hand through my hair to make it look more presentable.
"About an hour and a half ago." She smiled and I just looked at them.
"Whatcha doin?" I asked, curiosity creeping its way in.
"Going through some designs to figure out which outfit he's gonna wear. And get this, he's gonna be an executive producer to the show." She gleamed and I just stared at her.
"I thought we were gonna go through the designs." I pulled a chair out and sat down, sitting on my leg.
"You were sleeping, and besides we were more worried about how the show is gonna look." She smiled again and it was starting to scare me.
"And why did you wake me up Mr. Mendez?" I asked. Eric just looked at me and blushed. He quickly stood up and walked into the kitchen.
"Eric! Why didn't you wake me up?" I whined. He smirked and set a cup of coffee in front of me.
"Because, it was nine when she got here and you were up until like 3 texting Brian." He sat down and I pouted. I grabbed the coffee and took a sip.
"Well what designs have you created?" I asked. Michelle set out the papers and I looked through them.
"Wow these are really cool, but don't you think we should put the HoS symbol on everything somewhere?" I asked. She looked at the designs again and nodded.
"Yeah, I never thought of that." She laughed and I sighed.
"What's up?" Eric asked.
"Nothing, I'm just really tired. I'm going to get dressed." I stated and walked out of the room and back to my bedroom. My room had turned into a mess last night while I was running around attempting to make it mine, but all I ended up doing was making a mess before falling asleep. A light was showing under my blanket and I got confused. I walked over and grabbed my phone and saw a text from Brian.
We're coming home early, the show was cancelled, something about the stage we were gonna use broke of something. but we'll be home in like an hour. <3 - Brian
A smile formed on my face as I texted back. I quickly changed and my phone went off.
Be at Matt and Vals in like a half hour. :) - Brian
I made my way back out of my room and into the bathroom to straighten my hair and do something with it. After a few minutes of deciding, I ended up just straightening my hair half-assed and then putting it in a messy braid. I walked out of the bathroom and out into the kitchen and saw Michelle left and Eric was sitting on his laptop.
"Whatcha doin?" I asked. He looked up behind him at me and blinked.
"Surfing the internet, do you know how boring life is at 11 in the morning?" He asked. I laughed and leaned against the counter and drank my coffee.
"Well the guys are coming home early so I'm gonna go hang with them at Matt and Vals house. Wanna come with?" I asked and he just looked at me.
"If it's ok with them, sure." He smiled his cheeky smile and turned back to the computer. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and texted Brian and set it back down and began making myself a sandwich. My phone lit up as I was finishing my sandwich. I looked at it and finished chewing my bite.
"Brian said it was fine. Go get dressed you fuckass, we are leaving soon." I said and Eric stood and disappeared down the hallway.
After Eric came back out we left the apartment and I drove over to Matt and Vals, after getting directions from Val. We walked up to the door and I knocked.
"Hey, come on in, the guys aren't back yet, but you can help me cook the food." Val answered the door and smiled. I walked in and made my way into the kitchen. This house is more home-y than I thought it would be. If you were to walk in here, you could not tell that a famous rockstar and his wife lived here. Val was cooking what looked to be chicken or turkey and some mashed potatoes and a whole bunch of snack food.
"So are we gonna have an actual meal or something?" I asked. She looked at me and smiled.
"Every time the guys come home, we have this big lunch/dinner, depending on when they get home, and then have a little party, a little get together to say thank god the tour is over, let's just hang out as friends." She explained and I nodded.
"Is it warm outside?" She asked.
"Warm, sticky, and nasty. I love California, but man we could do without this weather." I said to her and helped her chop up some vegetables. Eric sat down at the island and watched us work.
"Don't just sit there little boy, grab a bowl and start filling it with chips and such." Val said and we both laughed.
"Fine, jeez, gotta be so demanding." He mumbled and I smiled and continued cutting the vegetables. A short while later the door opened and we all heard the multiple voices of Avenged Sevenfold. I smiled and put the cucumbers into the little container and washed my hands and followed Val out of the kitchen and into the living room. The guys were all standing in there and Val went straight to Matt and wrapped her arms around him and kissed him. I spotted Brian and walked over to him. He saw me and got a smile on his face and wrapped his muscular arms around me and I laid my head in his chest.
"Last night was really boring." He whispered and I smirked.
"I went to the board walk with Eric and Michelle and forced Eric to eat a funnel cake." I smiled and he chuckled.
"Ok, so I got turkey in the oven and the other food is all ready to eat. So we are eating a lat lunch at around 2." Val clarified and we all nodded and waved her off. Eric was standing awkwardly in the corner and I sighed and walked over by him.
"Everyone, this is Eric, Eric this is Avenged Sevenfold." I introduced and Eric waved awkwardly.
"Is he a fan?" Matt asked. I nodded and Matt smiled.
"How does it feel being in the house of an A7X member?" He asked putting his hand on Eric's shoulder. Eric shrugged and we all laughed.
"Ok guys, it is getting warm in here, who wants to swim until the food is done?" Val asked. We all raised our hands and the guys disappeared outside to grab their luggage and Val stole me upstairs and into her bedroom and got out a bikini and handed it to me. I made my way to the bathroom and changed out of my clothes and into the bikini Val gave me. At the sight of my stomach in the mirror I became self-conscious, while Brian has seen me naked, no one else has and I've always had self-image issues. I wrapped my arms around my stomach and walked back to the room.
"Here, this is a cover up, I could tell by how long you took, you are having issues with your body, it's ok hun, I did at first too, but these guys don't give a flying fuck how you look." Val smiled and I grabbed the cover up and slipped it on and we walked down the stairs. The guys weren't in the living room or the kitchen or outside.
"They're probably in the basement for some reason. They do that a lot when they are here." She laughed and we walked outside with Owen. I sat down on a lounge chair and started putting sun-tan lotion on my legs and arms.
"Let's go in the water Owen." Val got a baby voice on and I laughed. One day I want kids of my own, but not right now. I laid back on the chair and took off the cover up to tan my stomach. My eyelids closed themselves and I began to relax my muscles in the warm Californian sun. I had almost fallen asleep when the sun disappeared and a dark shadow appeared. I opened my eyes, squinting because it was bright, and saw Brian and Arin standing above me.
"Can I help you?" I asked. They looked at each other, smirked, and both lunged at me and picked me up.
"What the fuck are you doing. Oh my god not the pool. Brian!!" I screeched and landed in the pool. The cold water engulfed me and wrapped around my body. I resurfaced and I had murder in my eyes. I glared at Arin and Brian, who were laughing their asses off. The water was freezing and my skin was starting to argue with it and I started shivering. My legs swam me to the edge and my arms pulled me out. Brian was standing off to the side laughing when I walked over to him and smacked him.
"What. The. Fuck. Was. That. For?" I smacked him with every word.
"You seemed warm." Arin laughed.
"I was tanning dumbass. You both are going to pay. I straightened my hair and now it is ruined, mother fucking dumbasses." I mumbled and walked over to the pile of towels and grabbed one and wrapped it around me. I was small and these towels were large and were like a small blanket. The towel laid over my shoulders and out in front of me. I sat down on the chair and pulled my knees to my chest and laid my head on my knees.
"Come on Ever, you know it was funny." Brian said as he walked over to me.
"I'm mad at you." I pouted and stared forward. He chuckled and pulled my chin up and laid his lips on mine. How can I stay mad at him? I pulled away and stared into his eyes and glared at him.
"This is your one and only get out of jail free card." I mumbled to him and laid my head in his chest.
"Ok that is not fair, I never get the get out of jail free card and I've known you for five years!" Eric complained and I smirked and flipped him off.
"You don't get that privilege because I live with you and you piss me off all the time." I smiled and Eric glared at me. We all sat around the tables and relaxed for the rest of the afternoon. It was a great night.
