The Wedding: Ceremony

The bright sun shined through the drapes of my bedroom and almost blinded me as I rolled over in my bed. As I rolled over, I ran into someone and then the pounding of my head started. From the hallway, I heard multiple voices and then the door to my bedroom opened.

"Come on Everleigh, get your ass up, we have a wedding to attend to," I heard Val's loud voice say. A groan sounded from my mouth and then the blankets were off of me.

"Ass hole!" I yelled and buried my face into my pillows.

"Eric, get out of Ever's bed!" I heard Val say and then heard the sound of a hand hitting his ass.

"Dammit Val, I'm up, jeez. Give me a second to stand," Eric exclaimed as he turned over to glare at her.

"We don't have a second. Ever here has to get her hair, nails, and make up done before getting into her dress, and it's eleven. We have exactly three hours till the ceremony," Val clapped her hands and pulled my arm to get me up.

"But my head hurts," I whined and Val looked at me.

"We'll get you advil as soon as we get downstairs, let's go missy," Val pulled my arm out of the room and we walked downstairs.

"Oh, I like these," I ran my hand over the flowers on the banister and Val smiled.

"You're welcome, but now you get to sit for two hours," Val smiled and pushed me down in a chair.

"Valary Sanders, please do not torture me," I said and she smiled.

"But torture is my forte," she rubbed my shoulder and the hair stylist came into view.

"You've decided on the style, right?" She asked.

"Yep," I said before grabbing my phone and pulling the picture up. She nodded and got to work. My hair was pulled this way and that. It was flat ironed and curled. Hairspray was sprayed all over and then she added the small detail of the diamond clip into the pony part. When she was finished she turned the chair around and smiled.

"Oh my gosh, it's so pretty," I said and she smiled more.

"Ever, oh my god, it's perfect," I heard Val say as she clicked her feet over.

"Are you wearing your shoes?" I asked.

"I am working them in, it's really beautiful, come on, nails," she said and pulled me back upstairs to my bedroom where Michelle was smiling at me while holding a blue nail polish.

"Hello dear, I hope you are having fun," she smiled.

"My stomach is in knots right now," I said and then a thought hit me, where's Kyler?

"Hey Val," I called and Val looked at me.

"Yeah?"

"Where's my child?" I asked.

"Oh, well, don't kill me but she's with Chris," Val smiled and I gave her a look.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" I asked.

"Because, you'd of killed me," she said

"You're right, when is she getting back?" I asked.

"When I call Chris," she said.

"Call him, I want my baby," I pouted and held my hands out to Michelle. She got to cleaning my cuticles and buffing my nails, making them perfect, before applying the blue polish.

"I hope you don't mind, but I'm doing a semi french nail thing, except the tips are going to be black with a silver strip below it," Michelle said.

"Whatever, I trust you," I said.

"You know, when I first learned that you and Brian were a thing, I was pissed," she said.

"Well, I imagine so, you were married to him for a long time," I said.

"I know, but as I got to thinking, Brian looked happier with you. He smiled more, he laughed more, he opened up more, and I loved seeing him that way," she said. I smiled and looked at her.

"So you're not mad that we're getting married?" I asked.

"Not in the slightest. When we all learned you were pregnant with Ky, I knew that he chose a good one, he could have kids with you and be happy with you," she said and closed the blue polish bottle and grabbed the black one.

"Brian told me that you are unable to have kids," I said. She looked at me and then got a sad face.

"Yeah, that is part of the reason we divorced, he wanted kids and I couldn't give him that, but you can, and I am ok with that," she gave me a friendly smile.

"I was thinking that with mine and Brian's next child, you should be the godmother," I said. She looked up at me with a glisten in her eye.

"Really? After all the shit I put Brian through?"

"Yeah, you are a friend of mine, we work together, and you are awesome with River and Ky," I said and she finished painting my nails. She put my hands in the nail dryer and looked at me.

"Just promise me one thing," she said.

"What?"

"Don't break his heart. He loves you so much and it would kill me to see him hurt again," she said.

"I promise to never hurt Brian," I said and she smiled.

"Ok, sit tight while I go grab the make up," she patted my shoulder and walked out. It feels nice to have her silent blessing to get married, it makes me feel so much better.

"How nervous are you?" I heard from behind me.

"More than I ever have been," I said and then Eric sat down next to me. He was all in his suit and his hair was washed and pulled back.

"I imagine so, but you'll do great. I like the hair by the way," he said.

"I wish that my dad was here to see this," I said as I felt a tear come to my eye.

"I know you do. He may not be here in person, but he is in person and I can tell you, he is probably so proud of you, his little girl getting married and stuff, being all successful and shit," he smiled and laid his head on my shoulder. I rested mine on his head and took out my phone to take a picture. When that was done I put my hands back in the dryer.

"Is Kyler here yet?" I asked.

"Yeah, Val is getting her dressed quickly before getting her up here," he smiled.

"Is Brian here yet?"

"Yes, all of the Avenged family is here, but they have been warned to stay downstairs," he laughed.

"What did Val say?" I chuckled.

"Well, she threatened Matt with no sex for a month if he let Brian up here,"

"Oh my gosh," I said with a laugh and heard Michelle walk back in the room.

"Move it Mendez, she needs her make up done," Michelle joked and Eric moved to my other side. Michelle got to doing my make up and making my face look pretty.

"So is Eric here walking you down the aisle, or is Papa Gates?" she asked.

"Eric is," I said and could hear Eric smirk.

"Good choice, Papa probably wants to watch from the stands," she smiled and finished with my make up.

"Ok, there is approximately an hour until show time, do you want food?" Michelle asked.

"Please!" I exclaimed and she laughed.

"I'll be back," she walked out of the room and I was left with Eric.

"You know, it's like I'm watching my baby sister get married," Eric said.

"I know, and you are probably going to cry," I smiled and he nodded.

"Oh yeah," he said and then I heard the click of Val's heels.

"Where's my baby?" I asked.

"Right here," Val answered and walked into the room. Kyler was decked out in an extremely cute dress that complemented her brown hair.

"Come here," I said and Val handed Kyler over.

"Hi baby, mommy loves you," I muttered to her and she smiled at me.

"Yeah, mommy loves you and you love mommy, and probably daddy too," I shrugged and walked around the room. I set her down on my bed and she looked up at me with this big smile that reached her ears.

"Awe, so cute, but mama needs to eat," Michelle said and handed me a plate that had a hot sandwich on it with some chips.

"You know me so well," I said as I got to chomping down on the sandwich.

When I finished eating the sandwich Michelle and Val rushed me into the closet so they could get the dress on. Once is was pulled up, Val got to buttoning the corset part and Michelle worked on getting the veil in.

"Your hair looks nice," Michelle said and I smiled.

"Thanks, that hair stylist is amaze balls," I smiled again and Val finished in the back.

"Where's your shoes?" She asked.

"In that black box up there," I pointed to it and Val pulled it down. She helped me get them on my feet and then helped me walk out into my bedroom.

"Sweetie, you look beautiful," Eric smiled and I saw his eyes glistening in the light.

"Don't cry Eric, if you do I will most definitely start," I chuckled and he wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"I feel like a proud father," he whispered and I smiled.

"Ok, I'm going to take Kyler down to Suzy and Papa Gates," Val said and I nodded.

"Bye bye baby girl, mommy loves you," I waved to her and kissed her forehead quickly before Val rushed her out.

"Ok, there is maybe ten minutes, let's get you to the hallway," Michelle said and we carefully picked my dress up and we walked out to the hallway.

"Michelle, get your ass down here," I heard Val yell from downstairs.

"I got it from here," Eric said.

"Ok, her bouquet is in the bathroom in a vase, have fun," she patted his shoulder and rushed downstairs.

"Let me go grab your flowers," he said and disappeared for a second before reappearing with them.

"Ok, all the guests are outside and so is Brian, come downstairs," I heard Val call and I nodded.

"I'm coming," I said and grabbed Eric's arm as we began walking down the hall and then down the staircase.

"I am going to fall over in these shoes," I whined as I began to feel unstable.

"You've walked in higher platforms, focus Glosen," Eric smiled next to me. We got downstairs and walked to behind Val and Matt.

"You know, it worked our perfectly to have you two as best man and maid of honor," I said.

"I know right?" Val smiled and then I heard the music.

"Oh shit," I muttered and smoothed my dress. Eric rubbed my shoulder and I swallowed. My stomach was turning in knots and I felt slightly short of breath. I am really doing this, I am getting married. Damn. We began moving forward slowly and I watched as the wedding party walked outside and down the aisle and going to their spots. As Val and Matt walked out I felt the sudden urge to throw up. Maybe eating wasn't a good idea.

"Time to shine," I heard Eric say and I looked at him as we walked outside and the bride music started playing and everyone stood. Damn there is a lot of people here, why do I know so many people? I looked forward and my eyes locked on Brian. He was smiling but I saw the silent tears of happiness on his face. I smiled and all doubts disappeared from my mind. The man I loved was standing at that alter and I know this decision is perfect. We got closer and I heard people gasping and whispering about how pretty I looked. When we got to the end of the chairs, Brian walked down and grabbed my hand from Eric. I gripped Brian's hand tightly as we walked to the priest at the alter.

The priest got to doing all the necessary words about marriage and all that stuff. Brian and I decided to write our own vows and say them right after each of us put the ring on the others finger, so, for example, when Brian puts the ring on my finger, he says his vows, and I do the same after I put the ring on his finger.

"Who gives this bride to this groom?" The priest asked and Eric raised his hand.

"I do," he smiled at me and I rolled my eyes and looked back at the priest.

"Alright, at this time we will exchange rings and say the vows you have written," the priest said. From down the aisle I saw River walk his way, carefully but wobbly, down the aisle with the pillow and the rings. I smiled as he got closer and handed the pillow up to the priest and then ran to a seat. The priest handed a ring to Brian and Brian went on to put the ring on my finger and smile before talking.

"I choose you for life. I promise you my deepest love, my fullest devotion, my tenderest care, through the pressures of the present and the uncertainties of the future. I promise to be faithful to you. I promise to love you, to commit to you, and support you. I pledge to respect your unique talents and abilities, to lend you strength for all of your dreams.

"You have shown me what love feels like and for that I thank you. You are everything I need and at this moment I know all of my prayers have been answered and that all of my dreams have come true. I praise God for you, for all of your love and constant friendship. I know that our love is heaven sent and I promise to be here forever and always. From this day forward, you shall not walk alone. My heart will be your shelter and my arms will be your home. As I have given you my hand to hold, I give you my life to keep," he finished and I felt my eyes teared up. I quickly wiped the tear and held my hand out to the priest and he gave me the ring. My hand began to shake slightly as I put the ring on Brian's finger and swallow before speaking.

"I promise to give you the best of myself and to ask of you no more than you can give. I promise to respect you and your own person and to realize that your interests, desires and needs are no less important than my own. I promise to share with you my time and my attention and to bring joy, strength and imagination to our relationship.

"I promise to keep myself open to you, to let you see through the window of my world into my
innermost fears and feelings, secrets and dreams. I promise to grow along with you, to be willing to face changes in order to keep our relationship
alive and exciting.I promise to love you in good times and in bad, with all I have to give and all I feel inside in the only way I know how. Completely and forever," I finished and was basically crying myself. Brian was smiling like an idiot and the tears were basically free falling from his eyes. I wiped them for him and he chuckled before we turned back to the priest.

"Without further ado, I now pronounce you man and wife, you may kiss the bride," the priest said and I smirked before planting my lips on Brian's and giving him one of the most passionate kisses of my life.

"I give you, Mr. and Mrs. Brian Haner Jr.," the priest called out and I heard the guests cheer and I was lost in the kiss.

"Get a room!" I heard from Matt.

"If you keep going, you'll have another Kyler!" Arin called out and I lost it there and broke away, laughing.

"I wouldn't mind that," I heard Brian mutter in my ear. We turned to the guests and I smiled big. We walked back up the aisle and into the house. I cannot believe I just married Brian. Me, miss always spontaneous and wild, married. That'll take a while to get used to.

Well, now that's done with comes the fun part, the reception! After the reception is kinda an after chapter thing where it's when Ever and Brian come back from their honeymoon and they have Jacob and Eric move in. So yeah, then the epilogue, then it's over. I thank you for the almost nine thousand views, I know there are stories on here with a hell of a lot more views, but nine thousand is a lot for me. This is by far my most successful story, and I thank every single on of my readers and subscribers. I will hopefully finish my other fanfictions semi-soon. Thanks again!
