Rayne told Aiyana all about her night with Zacky. About how he had been the perfect gentleman, and they had watched a movie, cuddling close until she fell asleep on his couch. Her head had been resting on his lap when she fell asleep, but she awoke the next morning alone and covered with a blanket. Aiyana laughed softly, knowing that Rayne was already in deep considering that baseball was her favorite sport, and she was a sucker for a gentleman. Inside, she was high fiving herself for introducing them. Rayne got up and came back with a couple of beers and an ice pack for Aiyana’s shoulder.

The blue eyed woman looked at her cousin and sighed loudly, “What am I going to do, Rayne? I really like Matt, and the sex is amazing, but Brian…” she trailed off.

“So he kissed you. So what? Just tell him you only want to be friends, homes. I’m sure he’ll understand,” she tried to comfort Aiyana.

“That kiss was electric, Rayne,” Aiyana admitted, feeling her cheeks flush with color at her admission.

It dawned on Rayne what Aiyana’s conundrum was at that moment, “Okay, so it’s not like Matt has asked you to go steady or anything. See how it goes with each one, and let your heart be your guide.”

Aiyana rolled her eyes at the cheesy line and leaned back on the couch dramatically, “So you’re telling me to screw two men at once and see who I enjoy more.”

Rayne laughed loudly, “I guess I am. I know you’re headstrong, but wait for them to make the next contact. I think it will tell you a lot as to who is more interested.” She paused, thinking for a moment. “Have you googled them, Aiyana?”

Aiyana nodded along to her explanation, but turned at the google question, looking at her deadpan, “Why in the hell would I google anyone?”

“Oh honey. To be a creeper, of course,” Rayne stated as if it was the most stupid question she had ever been asked. She pulled her phone out and began to google the boys.

Rolling her eyes, Aiyana got up and started to walk down the hall, “You’re crazy, bitch.” She just giggled to herself when she heard her best friend sing back to her, “but you fuck so good.”

Changing into a pair of fuzzy pajama pants and a tank, she pad back into the room to resume her seat beside a grinning Rayne.

“I’m not going to bore you with the details since you obviously want to make your own opinions, but I will tell you one thing about each to try to help you make an easier decision. Gates is a world renowned man whore, and Matt has gone to anger management for some issues.”

Aiyana’s eyes widened at the new information and she let out a long exhalation. “Well, I think I’m just going to tell Matt about the kiss so I don’t feel like I’m sneaking around, and I’ll just see where things go. I don’t want to get between friends unless it’s a threesome,” she winked at her cousin.

Rayne laughed heartily, and grabbed the remote, “Ok, well I’m going to watch Skin Wars while you daydream about being between their two sweaty, muscular bodies.”

The rest of the evening was spent enjoying one another’s company, and eating Chinese delivery.

Rayne finally stood up hours later, stretching as she made her excuses to leave, and reminding Aiyana of the tattoo appointment she had coming in at 11 the next day.



A few days later, Aiyana hadn’t message or called either of the guys. She was taking her cousin’s advice, so she was surprised when a sudden text coming in made her look at the phone as she walked to her bedroom.

From Matt:
Gates just told me about that asshole at your lunch date. Are you ok, gorgeous?

His concern for her made her heart swell. So, Brian told him about that. Did he also tell him about the kiss?

To Matt:

She didn’t have to wait long for a response as she crawled into bed.
