Strength Of The World

It had been a few weeks since the wedding, and Peyton's birthday was coming up. Since she was born on Halloween, they always had a party for her the weekend before, and then a Halloween party at Zack's house on the actual day. Zack had been asking her what she wanted to do since she couldn't party, she had finally decided on going to dinner and the pumpkin patch, complete with a corn maze. The guys were trying to talk her into going to a haunted house, but she vetoed that idea, seeing as how she doesn't like anything scary. She and Zack had just finished lunch and were heading back home in her Jeep when he noticed her low fuel light was on. "Pey, how long has your gas light been on?" Zack asked her. "I don't know, but we still have 25 miles til empty. We're good." She said with a shrug, pointing to the mileage indicator. "Baby you're gonna run out of gas one day." He smiled, shaking his head. "Nah. I know her limits. Plus it makes me feel like I'm living on the wild side." She grinned, looking over at her boyfriend, who pulled into the nearest gas station. "Fine. Get gas, you chicken." She joked, playfully crossing her arms over her chest. She went to grab her credit card out of her wallet when Zack stopped her, "Put that back. I got it." Peyton tried to protest, but he was already out of the vehicle.

After their pit stop, Zack and Peyton went home and took a nap before they met up with the rest of their friends. Peyton dressed in a tight fitting white v-neck with a red and black flannel shirt left unbuttoned, with skinny jeans and her black converse. She slightly curled her hair, and applied her normal makeup: foundation, blush, highlighter, eyeliner, mascara, and clear gloss. The couple headed over to Matt and Val's house to pick them up, Peyton hadn't seen them since they had been back from their honeymoon and she was ecstatic to see her best friend and hear all about their trip. She got out of the car and speed walked up to the front door, flinging it open. "Hellooooooo Sanders family!" She shouted, walking into the house. Zack laughed and followed her inside, where Matt met them in the foyer, giving Peyton a huge hug. "P.Smitty! How's it going preggers?" Peyton pointed to her growing stomach excitedly, "I'm getting fat!" she laughed, "Holy shit look at that, you look like you ate a shit ton of tacos." Matt chuckled. "Maybe I did, maybe I didn't." She grinned. Zack opened his mouth to say something, but before he could Val came running down the stairs squeaking. "Ahh Peyton I missed you so much! Look at you! You're showing!" The two women hugged each other tightly, taking st the same time "Tell me all about your trip!" "How's the baby doing? How have you been feeling?" "Did you get to swim with the sharks? Did you see any sea turtles?" "Holy shit." Zack mumbled, looking at the two women with raised eyebrows. "Come on dude, let's go wait in the car." Matt chuckled, slapping his friend on the back. Peyton and Val followed them out to her Jeep, talking the entire time. Val wouldn't answer any questions until Peyton had given her an update on the baby. "Everything is fine. I stopped puking so much, and I go back to the doctor like next week." She huffed. "Now tell me everything about Hawaii!" Val told her all about their honeymoon, from the pool bar to swimming with dolphins to zip lining. "We also had lots of sex." Matt added, wiggling his eyebrows. "Um. Ew. Didn't need to know that." Peyton laughed. By the time Val and Peyton had gone back to their normal conversation instead of excitedly trying to tell each other what had happened since they've been apart, Zack was pulling into the parking lot at the restaurant. "Oh look! Mich and Leana are already here!" Peyton said excitedly "So are Brian and Jimmy." Zack pointed out. She looked st the green eyed man and shrugged. "Yeah, I've seen them this week. I haven't seen the girls." Zack parked the Jeep and everyone climbed out, Peyton hugging her friends and receiving birthday gifts. "Aw thanks guys!" "Don't worry, you'll get more on your actual birthday." Brian laughed, pulling her close to him. "Aw look at your little belly! It's so cute! P, Bri, Say cheese!" Michelle said, holding up her phone to take a picture. Instead of smiling, Brian made a goofy face while Peyton looked up at him disgusted. "Typical." Michelle said with an eye roll. The others laughed and the group headed into the restaurant, Johnny and lLacey joining them, to begin celebrating Peyton's 26th birthday.
