Living Life As Unconventional As Possible

Matt’s POV

I woke up and noticed Saige was no longer in bed with me which never surprised me. When she was pregnant she could never sleep in. I don’t blame her and this pregnancy seemed to be treating her much different compared to when she was carrying Quinn. But I’m enjoying her sex drive which has been intensifying our sex life and I can’t complain. I put on a pair of sweat pants and didn’t bother putting on a shirt. I walked to the bathroom and when I was finished I noticed Saige was sitting on the patio that was connected to our master suite.

The new house was much larger than our last one and I think it will be perfect for our expanding family. Plus, we had lots of room for guests which was always a bonus these days.

I walked out onto the patio and that drew her out of her writing which I loved seeing her getting into these days. I knew she was struggling with it over the last few months since we had Quinn and all the stress she had with Benji. She recently showed me nearly finished the manuscript and I was impressed and proud of my wife.

“Morning baby.” I smiled and leaned down and kissed lips.

“Morning sweetheart.” She saved her work and closed the top of her laptop. “Did you just wake up?”

I let out a small yawn and gave her a smile. “Yeah but I definitely slept too long.” I knew once Saige would have our baby our sleep would once again be lacking. Quinn slept longer throughout the night and it was especially quiet around the house when Benji had her.

“You deserve the extra sleep baby especially after the touring, the move and the unpacking.” She slowly stood up and her bump was getting much bigger. The baby would be arriving in the next couple of months. We found out yesterday that we are having a boy and I was stoked to have a son. I’m sure Quinn and our son will have some musical talent since myself and Saige had it in our blood.

Saige then grabbed my hand and placed it on her bump and I felt our son kicking. “somebody likes hearing daddy’s voice.” She smiled and I noticed tears coming to her eyes and I knew her hormones were kicking in.

“I love feeling how active our boy seems to be.” I smiled and pulled Saige closer to me and I connected our lips once again. Since it has just been her and I since we moved into the new house I enjoyed having her all to myself. But I did miss having Quinn around and she would be back soon from her time with Benji.

We decided to throw a party baby shower type thing and make it house warming party as well. Saige deserved all the attention and I wanted to make the party as special as I could. Since Nicole was traveling for work so Zack’s girlfriend Kate and Brian’s fiancé Lauren offered to help.

“I’m pretty hungry shall we go make some food?” I asked and my wife grinned. Any mention of food these days got her attention.

“That sounds lovely baby.” I took her hand and we walked downstairs to our kitchen and I got everything we needed. We cooked together and I loved these simple moments between Saige and me. She was the perfect woman for me and I wish I would have realized that when we younger but now I have her as my wife and I will be forever grateful.

After we ate I got myself showered and dressed for the day and Saige did the same. I checked the time and knew everyone would be arriving shortly.

I walked into our room just as Saige was finishing getting herself all ready for the party. “Hey, darling.” She turned around and smiled at me.

“How do I look?” She had a nice light pink flowy summer dress on that hugged her baby bump and it made her look so beautiful.

“You look stunning and you are really glowing today.” I walked closer to her and wrapped my arms around her waist.

“Why thank you and you look sexy as always.” She grinned and leaned up and kissed my lips. I would make sure to give her extra attention later once the party was over.

Saige’s POV

I love when Matt brought attention to how good I looked pregnant. I had to tell him he looked sexy too because it was true. I loved how much he took care of his body and I was lazier regarding working out. I would have to push myself to get back into working out more after I have our son. I can’t wait until Matt and I can decide on a name for our son but we still have lots of time.

We walked back downstairs and loved how much space our new house has that especially our living room which is located right by the main entrance to the house. We also have a smaller living room that Matt and I will use as a gaming and movie/TV room. Matt’s studio looks amazing in the new house and it is more spacious. I know the guys will enjoy that room with Matt. I must admit I love hanging out in there too especially when Matt and I jam together.

Matt told me to relax so I just decided to chill on the couch and I looked through my phone. I smiled when Benji sent me some adorable pictures of Quinn. I am happy that everything is working out so far with the custody. I can’t wait until she is back with Matt and I in the new house.

The doorbell rang and it drew me out of my thoughts. “I’ll get it babe.” I heard Matt call out and I slowly got off the couch and smoothed out my dress. I was happy that the girls decided to plan and help with the party preparation. I was a bit sad that Nicole couldn’t come but at the same time I understood that her work was important and that she needed some time away from the guys, well especially Jimmy.

I smiled when I saw the gifts and decorations that Lauren and Kate were bringing into the house and tears came to my eyes. Fuck these hormones are driving me nuts and everything is making me cry. “Aww you guys are the best.” I hugged Lauren and Kate as Zack and Brian also entered our house.

“No worries Saige. We wanted to help out any way we can these days.” I wiped my eyes and smiled. I really had the best family any woman could ask for and I was thankful every day.

Kate and Lauren went right to work and set all the decorations up and I helped Matt get the snacks and drinks all set up.

Brian walked over to me after he finished the task of bringing in the abundance of alcohol that would be needed for the large crowd.

“Hey, Bri.” I smiled. “Thanks again for helping get the things we needed for the party.”

“No problem Saige I’m happy to help you guys out anytime. How’s baby shades doing?” He grinned as he said the nickname for the baby. I was used to the guys calling me momma and baby shades or mini Matt for the baby until we come up with a name.

“The baby is doing great. He’s been very active especially when Matt talks to my belly.” I grinned. Matt then joined us and wrapped an arm around my shoulders and I leaned into him.

“I’m glad everything is good. Quinn still with Benji?”

“Yeah, she will be home in a couple days. Make yourself comfortable Bri and have a drink and you too baby.” I grinned and leaned over and kissed Matt’s cheek.

“I’m going to see how Lauren and Kate are making out. Let me know when more people arrived.”

“I will.” Matt pecked my lips and I walked out to the main patio to see the girls were putting out some outside decorations and setting up the outdoor bar.

“Do you guys need any help?” I walked over to them.

“We are just about done. You just go relax girly.” I smiled over at Kate and Lauren and I was happy that Zack and Brian had wonderful women in their lives. The girls and I chatted and they opened some wine for themselves, while I stuck to drinking either water or diet pop.

A couple hours later the house was filling up with our family and friends. Everyone brought gifts for the baby and I opened a few of them in front of everyone. Matt helped me pick up the wrapping from the gifts we opened together. We then took the opened and unopened gifts to the room we chose for the new baby. I looked over at Matt as we walked out of the baby’s room “thanks for planning this party. I am having a great time and I hope you are too.” I smiled and kissed my husband’s lips.

“I’m having a great time as well, darling. I’m happy to share these memories with you.” He kissed me and ran one of his hands over my baby belly. He then took my hand in his and we rejoined the party.

Matt and I mingled with some friends we haven’t seen in a while and everyone seemed to be having a great time. It was nice to Matt looking happy as ever when he talked about me, Quinn and our unborn son.

After a few more hours passed the crowd of people started to thin out and I was relieved. I was feeling tired and ready for sleep.

I grinned at the sight of Jimmy passed out on the couch and I grabbed a blanket and placed it over him and kissed his cheek.

Brian was also passed out on the other side of the couch and I showed Lauren to one of the guest rooms. I made sure we had them set up in case anybody wanted to stay over after the party. “Thanks again for all the help with the party.” I gave her a hug.

“Your welcome, Saige. Goodnight.”

“Night.” I shut the door to the room and walked back to the living room and shut off all the lights. I went to the kitchen to get a drink and Matt was doing the same.

“I showed Lauren to one of the guest rooms. Bri and Jimmy are passed out in the living room.” I giggled at the sight of those two.

“Yeah, they definitely drank a lot tonight and so did I.” Matt slurred his words and it was adorable. He was a fun drunk and I never worried about him when he was drinking.

“Let’s get to bed baby.” I wrapped my arm around Matt’s waist and helped him upstairs to our room. I helped him undress and I stripped down as well. I grinned at Matt laying on the bed in just his boxers and noticed he dozed off.

I joined my husband on the bed after turning off the lights and kissed his cheek. I cuddled into Matt’s side and before long sleep took over.
