Fallen

chapter nineteen

I shifted my weight from my right leg to my left as I stood awkwardly mingling with Matt’s arm wrapped around my waist at the reception. Val’s wedding was gorgeous and extravagant. She looked stunning in her lace, white, mermaid-style gown… her blonde locks falling in waves and minimal makeup on her face. The smile she was sporting was genuine as she guided her way through the crowds of people, her hand never leaving Jason’s. Matt’s smile was wide, his dimples set into his cheeks as he congratulated the married couple once again when she walked toward us.

“Thank you, man. You have no idea how much it means to both of us that you were here for our big day,” Jason pulled Matt in for a hug.

“You look beautiful, Val,” I smiled.

“As do you, Liv,” she smirked in Matt’s direction as he slinked his arm back around my waist. “You two make an attractive couple. I was more excited to see this than I was for my own damn wedding.”

Matt huffed from beside me, “Do you ever stop?”

“No, Matthew. I don’t,” Val laughed and grabbed my hand, smiling at me once again. “Let’s go get you comfortable with all of the Sevenfold ladies and let the boys do what boys do best.”

“What’s that?” I asked innocently as Val and I walked in the other direction.

She laughed, “Oh, honey. All men care about at weddings is getting drunk and telling stories. I would know, this isn’t my first rodeo.”

I licked over my lips, not knowing what exactly to say back to her. I glanced over at the table where her family was sitting, her parents with River and Cash. “Your boys officially get two awesome men in their lives, huh. Are you going to pop out a baby Berry?”

“We’ve been talking about it. After the honey moon I am going to go off the pill and we will start trying. Fingers crossed,” Val grinned as we reached the array of her closest female friends, the rest of the Sevenfold women. “Hey ladies, this is the infamous Liv,” she made and up-and-down motion with her hand toward me.

I felt nervous under all of their gazes, so I gave a sheepish smile and wave, “Hello.”

I had a small feeling as to who was married to who. Meaghan was Zack’s wife, and I was fairly certain that she was the one who was sporting the gorgeous, purple gown that was floor length. Zack’s description of her was on point, if I was right. I knew Brian’s wife the minute I walked over, seeing as she was Val’s twin. She looked incredible in a pastel, floral dress that came to right above the knee. Her blonde and brown hair was much longer than Val’s, ringlets of curls falling down her back and accentuating her thin waist. The other woman had to have been Johnny’s wife, right? She had a light blue dress on, that was shorter in the front and longer in the back. They all looked their parts… successful, beautiful, rockstar wives. I couldn’t help but to feel judged at my small twenty-seven year old frame in a pale pink above the knee dress, white heels on my feet and my boring shoulder-length hair straightened.

“I’ve heard a lot about you,” the one in the purple smiled. “I’m Zack’s wife, Meaghan. Tennessee is a big fan of your job. He made Zack build him one of those mini-zoos like you had done for your son. It’s nice to finally meet you face-to-face.”

“We may have stalked you online the minute Val told us about you,” the one who’s name I didn’t know spoke. “I’m Lacey, Johnny’s wife. I love your dress, by the way… and the fact that you somehow managed to get Matt to wear a pink tie.”

I laughed quietly, “He caught himself in that trap by picking out my dress for me. I’m not really good with this whole formal thing, so he took it upon himself to be my fashion advisor. Please tell me that there was nothing incriminating about me online.”

“Nope!” Lacey grinned, “We just saw a couple of photos of you holding an adorable baby bear, and multiple interviews about it. There might have been a few ‘that lucky bitch’ mumbles regarding your job and how pretty you are without any makeup on, but that was all.”

My heart slightly swelled at how warm and welcoming Lacey was being. I hadn’t know how the guys’ wives were going to react toward my presence. The last Matt had confided in me was that Johnny and Brian’s wives were set on the idea of he and Val getting back together… maybe now that Val was officially married to Jason, they weren’t as bothered?

“Oh, please. The four of you could out-do me in a pretty contest any day, but thank you.” I smiled at her.

“So now that we got the whole stalking you on the internet thing out of the way,” Meaghan began to speak and tilted the glass she had in her hand toward the bride at my side. “We want to know the truth.”

“The truth about what?” I looked next to me, seeing a grin on Val’s face as I gave her a questioning look. I looked at the women in front of me, smirks on Lacey and Meaghan’s faces, but Michelle’s face was emotionless staring right at me. “Should I be scared?”

“Is Matt’s penis really as big as Val claimed it to be?” Lacey asked, trying not to laugh as the words came out of her mouth. “She stopped answering the question once she started dating Jason, and we all thought she was just protecting his ego after the divorce by telling us that yes, in fact it was.”

My face had to be beet red, because my whole body felt like it instantly started sweating. So Val told them that Matt and I were in fact together? Or did their husbands? Did Matt tell his bandmates that we were more than friends? Zack technically saw us kiss that night, so I guess they are aware. A million things were flooding my mind, and I found myself speechless.

“Earth to Liv,” Val shook my arm a bit. “Why do you look like you’re going to pass out?”

“I just didn’t know our relationship was out there like that,” I mumbled then looked from her to Meaghan and Lacey, ignoring Michelle’s dangerous gaze on me. “I’m sorry. I just… I guess I hadn’t realized that people knew we were like, together?”

Meaghan laughed, “He’s been walking around here with you like his arm-candy, chica. Introducing you to everyone, hell, he’s still watching you from across the room! Plus, Zack told me and I kind of spilled the beans to these two.” Meaghan motioned to Lacey and Michelle, “and then I pestered Val for the truth.”

“Oh, okay,” I said quietly, my cheeks still burning. I should have assumed that coming here as Matt’s date would make it obvious, too. I fought back my embarrassment and pressed a smile, “But I guess I’ll just keep his ego going strong and agree with Val’s judgement.”

Meaghan and Lacey looked to one another with grins on their faces then burst into laughter, Val on the other hand spat out a bunch of “I told you so’s” toward her two close friends while embracing me in a hug, thanking me for agreeing with her judgement on penis size. Michelle said nothing as she watched the whole thing go down, then ultimately walked away from us and over to her husband across the room, pulling him from his friends toward a table. I brushed the feeling past me that she didn’t seem like a fan of mine, and just enjoyed my time getting to know the two hysterical women I just met today.

The rest of the reception went by quickly, the night ultimately dying down with Jason exclaiming that he had a “bone his wife needed to pick” while giving Val a firm slap on the rear-end. Luckily, the grandparents had already put the kids to bed in the hotel before they saw their step-dad and mother about to tear each others clothes off on the dance floor. It was a good thing that Val’s wedding was in San Francisco, so that there was a hotel for all of us to crash at. Both Matt and myself were too intoxicated to drive, and opted to share an Uber with Zack and Meaghan back to the hotel.

I pulled myself out of the backseat of the black SUV and steadied my strut, my bare feet hitting the cool ground as my left hand found Matt’s right. Matt was carrying my heels in his left hand, having them swinging at his upper thigh as we walked next to the other couple. Zack had an arm thrown around Meaghan’s shoulders, a smile on both of their faces as they looked toward Matt and I. We all climbed into the elevator together, meeting Brian and Michelle as we hit the fourth floor of the hotel.

Michelle looked from me to Matt, then turned on her hell with a huff and headed down the hallway. I looked up to Matt, who shrugged, and then over to Zack and Meaghan who both had frowns on their faces. Brian stood in front of us still, now lone without his wife, a smirk on his face as he looked in my direction.

“I wanted to tell you that you looked gorgeous today, Liv,” Brian’s thin lips worked themselves into a friendly smile, rather than his signature smirk, as his dark eyes met mine. “And I apologize for my wife’s attitude. Don’t take it personal, sweetheart.”

I could almost say I felt Matt stiffen next to me at Brian’s words, but maybe I was wrong. I went to open my mouth to thank him when Meaghan began to talk. “Michelle was a bitch to me at first, too. She’ll come around eventually. We’re going to head to bed… and by we, I mean me carrying Zack since he looks like he’s about to fall asleep.”

“We’re not falling asleep till we make another baby,” Zack mumbled, drunkenly as he waved goodnight to us down the hallway.

“Zachary!” Meaghan squealed then looked back at me with a grimace. “Hey Sanders, I almost forgot… you’re in the clear on your dick size! Liv confirmed it alongside Val. Guess you weren’t lying after all!”

Matt chuckled from beside me as those two disappeared into their room. I looked up at him with a smirk, but blushing. He smiled down at me and squeezed my hand, “Thank you for confirming that. All I’ve been hearing for the last year was that my dick couldn’t have been that big if Val was leaving me.”

I licked over my lips, then let my sink teeth into my bottom one as I stared into his reddened, hazel eyes, “Anytime, big boy.”

“Room, now,” Matt nearly growled as he yanked my arm toward the room we were sharing.

“Care for a guest?” Brian called out as we walked away from him.

“Not tonight, Syn,” Matt chuckled and grabbed me, picking me up bridal style. “Don’t you have a wife to get back to anyway?” He turned around so that we were facing Brian, Matt’s lips grazing my neck, making me immediately wet and whimpering.

Brian’s eyes were glimmering with lust as he stared at the image in front of him, a smirk back on his lips. “Touche, Shadows.”

Just like that, we were turned back around and headed down the hallway, Matt’s lips still connecting themselves to my neck. I couldn’t help but to peek over his shoulder, seeing Brian still watching us walk down the hall. The thought completely left my mind when Matt slid the key-card into our door, while sliding his hand up my dress, ripping my underwear from my legs. I didn’t even think about the fact that it was his ex-wife’s wedding night as he pounded into me hard enough the whole hotel could hear me scream. All that was on my drunken mind was one thing, and that was making this man mine all night.

Notes

Sorry I haven't updated in days!
But here's a full adult chapter - no kiddies!

What's with Michelle's attitude?
And Brian's still being a pig, go figure... poor, sexy Brian just wants a hot young girl.
Too bad she's Matt's... or is she? They're still not official.

Feedback makes me update faster (sometimes).

I've also been toying around with the idea of writing a Brian story.
It would be somewhat based off of Buffy the Vampire Slayer (so vamps & a badass female main character). Any thoughts?
