Groundhog Day

Mei groaned when she woke up. Her head hurt, her mouth was dry and she was pretty sure that if she would open her eyes her eyes would burn out because of the intolerance of light. She never should have gotten drunk last night, but there was no other way to forget what was happening at midnight. She just wanted the time to stop 5 minutes to 12, before the clock would strike and bring her into her terrible thirties. She remembered thinking it. Hoping the time would stop.

But here she was, clearly the time had passed, bringing that terrible headache with it. Meaning she did turn 30 last night.
“Ugh, I’m not old enough to be 30” she sighed as she turned on her back and opened her eyes. For a moment she was confused about the scenery. Then she remembered her best friend talking her into getting a hotelroom for her new year’s eve, her new year’s eve on the verge of being 30.

Mei had insisted on them both getting their own room in an attempt to be able to go through this hell that she called her birthday by herself, but she knew that wasn’t going to take long. She knew it would be a matter of time before Kim would break through the door that was connecting their rooms.

Lucky for Mei she was an early bird and Kim was more of a sleep the whole day kinda girl. A glance at the time told Mei she had at least a few hours to herself before the party would commence (her best friend’s words, not hers). She leaned back in the fluffy pillows and enjoyed the comfortable bed. Okay. This had been a great idea. It was definitely better than waking up in her own small apartment.

She grabbed her phone from the nightstand. As expected she had received a lot of messages, people congratulating her for her birthday. It made her feel a little better. She even had to stifle a laugh when she noticed the joke Kim had pulled on her.

Mei shook her head slightly when she read the messages. This was weird, she had a feeling she already went through these motions. This must be how severe case of déjà vu feels like, but she couldn’t quite put her finger on it. It was a very foreign feeling she was having. She pushed the thoughts out of her head and discarded it.

But hell, how drunk did her best friend think she was for her to believe that these guys would actually send her birthday messages. It did instantly lift her mood though. She heard the toilet flush in the bathroom and assumed that would be her best friend right there, so she called out
“I MIGHT BE OLD BUT I’M NOT CRAZY, KIM! AND BY THE WAY! YOU FORGOT BRIAN!”

“Forgot me? Shit that hurts!” The bathroom door opened and there he was. Stark naked.
Brian Haner aka Synyster Gates aka what the hell is he doing in my room?! Mei realized he wasn’t aka by that name, but it was the only thing that was going on in her mind. In her surprise she did two things. First she clung the comforter around her body. Her NAKED body (she checked). The deep chuckle that came out of the man in her room made her toes curl in pleasure. Damn traitor body.

Mei felt a pull on her comforter and before she could fully grab it, she was naked again.

“What- How- You-“ she stuttered, her cheeks getting redder by the second.
“I am known for my sextaculair abilities and I made some women lose their words, but you are topping it, Mei. We definitely should have done this sooner.”

Brian walked over to the bed in his naked glory. His starting excitement on full display. He didn’t even wait to be in the bed with her again, before he grabbed her face and kissed her. Mei lost every thought that was going on in her mind and completely surrendered.

Instead of staying on the bed on his one knee, he now fully laid next to her. His hands started to caress her face, but soon found their way lower. “You weren’t even that drunk last night, how can you not remember?” now the pout was real. Mei shrugged, completely lost in her own thoughts.
“Don’t know. I was just drinking yesterday, trying to forget about the fact that I would turn 30 and as far as I know I went back to this room alone. Where did you come from?”

Brian looked at her curious “Okay. You are being weird now.”
“No I’m not! Just fucking tell me what happened” Mei covered her body again, not feeling comfortable at all anymore. She had never had a one night stand. Let alone with a man like Brian. With her idol! That’s just… She didn’t even have words to describe.

“Are you serious?”
Mei just nodded “Please, just tell me”
“Okay okay” Brian let out a sigh as he covered himself a little. He leaned back into the pillows and started talking.

“You and I always had a special connection, ever since we met, you must be honest about that” Mei didn’t say or do anything, because she couldn’t be honest about that, not without lying at least. “Last night we had that amazing pre party for your birthday. We had so much fun.”

Brian seemed to be lost in thoughts for a minute, before he continued, almost on a whisper “You looked so damn happy. You were dancing with every one, laughing with everyone. You never looked more beautiful.” He send her a sideways glance before he continued again with a small smile.

“When the clock stroke 12 the party was only starting but you seemed to sober up slowly. When finally everyone had passed out, you and I were the only ones left. You told me about how much you hated to turn 30 and I told you that ageing wasn’t that bad. That I had a few years of wisdom ahead of yours. Then… You seduced me”

Mei looked at him with open mouth “I seduced you?” Brian chuckled in reply “Yes. We were the last ones there and you walked over to me. Straddled me on my chair and gave me the most amazing kiss ever. You told me that you wanted to start your 30th life year with something amazing. Something unforgettable.”

She chuckled “That didn’t really work out like I wanted”
“Guess not” Brian laughed quietly.

Mei leaned back in thought. There was no way she had seduced him. There was no way she was partying with Avenged Sevenfold last night. For some strange reason she had a harder time believing the first than she had the last. The last was something she had this feeling of déjà vu about. The feeling that this was her life. At least… the life where she was partying with her idols. Where her idols where her friends. Some small voice in her head told her THAT was completely normal.

Johnny rushed in, colliding with Jimmy still standing there “What?”
Then Zack followed, standing still, looking at the couple in the bed.
When finally Matt popped his head in too, Mei knew her head must a very bright shade of pink “Seriously? Mei and Haner?”
“You can’t say you didn’t see it coming” Zack mused with a smirk “She told us years ago that she wanted to know how well guitarists could use their fingers”
“Yeah… And you can always leave it up to Bribear to show her!!” Jimmy yelled, way too loud to be an inside voice.

The four of them got comfortable in the door opening. Arms folded over their chests. You could see their brains working, trying to figure out another way to fuck with their friends. In the mean time Mei was praying for the floor to open beneath her and swallow her whole. Doing Brian had been completely fine, but now that the others were in the room with her, she could have died from embarrassment “Please go” she let out quietly, the blush at its peak.

Her plead was enough for them to leave. When the door closed behind them Brian pulled Mei to his body “You okay?”
“Eh. No. That was fucking embarrassing, where the hell are their boundaries?”
Brian chuckled and kissed her temple, then kissed her just below her ear, kissed her neck and completely finding Mei’s sweetspot, getting her work up quickly.

“Will this be a problem for our friendship?” Brian asked in between kisses. Mei though about that for a second. She was surprised to realize that she definitely wanted to repeat what they just did and what they were good on their way to doing again. But she didn’t need the relationship, she wasn’t at all ready to commit. This was perfect.
“I’m completely fine with this, as long as you don’t fall in love with me, Haner” she winked at him.
“You are full of conditions and demands today, woman!”

Before she knew it she was buried underneath Brian again. His cock already at her entrance. He slid in with a groan.
