Auden's POV

I came face to face with the one and only Valary, again. I looked down at my ring and back at her face. She was pissed off.
"I thought you were told to stay away" I hissed.
"I could stay away but someone has to look out for Matt" she said.
"That's what I am doing bitch." I said.
"No you're just after the money, and really don't care for him." she said
"Really? Because I'm pretty sure I threw a fit when Matt offered to buy some clothes for me, or when he takes me out to dinner and wants to pay. I care for him more than you ever did." I hissed starting to get pissed off.
"I did care for him." she said
"Oh really then why did you give him shit about always being at the studio? You could have just went with him. Anything band related you could have been there for him. Yet you're not and I am. I'm here for him when he needs it." I said hearing the guys say goodbye to everyone. Aimee wasn't even around.. I looked at Valary, she raised her hand and slapped me across the face. I grabbed the side of my cheek, I was coming after her when I was stopped by strong arms holding me back.
"Valary I thought I told you to stay away." Matt hissed. I relaxed a little knowing he was having a death grip on me.
"I couldn't knowing that this little bitch here is using you." she said. I stiffened looking at her.
"Auden isn't like you. She wouldn't use me, like you did." he said rubbing my sides to make me relax again it wasn't helping.
"You need to get lost before I let her go, she will beat your ass." Matt warned.
Just in time MB came and dragged Valary away before she could ruin my great night with everyone more.
"I'm getting a restraining order on her, I'm tired of her bullshit." he said then kissed my head.

We went to the after party, I was ready to let loose. Matt and I walked towards the table everyone was gathered at, he sat down and pulled me on his lap. Jimmy had already had the shots there.
"Alright motherfuckers let's get crazy!" He sang in a high key. I laughed, everyone grabbed a shot and threw it back. Feeling the burn of the JD made me more happy. I relax into Matt's body a little. His arm gripped tighter around my waist. We were doing shot after shot, I was feeling a little tipsy but not drunk. Aimee on the other hand was a light weight, she was pretty drunk. She was all over Zack, kissing him, whispering things in his ear to make him grin. Then Jimmy came back with an other round of shots.
"Alright since everyone now has some alcohol in their systems, I want to raise a toast to my best friend and Auden. Congrats you two, can't wait to watch the years pass by with you."
Everyone raised their glass in a cheers and multiple congrats came our way.
"Thanks guys" Matt and I said smiling. I turned to Matt leaning into him.
"Matt, I love you so much, thank you for making me the happiest person in the world. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you." I said. I kissed him it was passionate and long. When we parted Matt had a huge smile across his face.
"I love you too princess" he said.
I looked back at the table and everyone was gone leaving Matt and I alone. I laughed at myself, I should have known.
"Matt?" I said.
"Yes babe?" he said
"Wanna go for a walk?" I asked.
"Sure babe, I would love that." He said getting up and holding his hand out I grabbed his hand stood up pulling my dress down, and we walked out of the party together.

When we got outside, I took off my heels leaving myself barefoot.
"Are you going to walk barefoot the whole time?" he asked
"Yes I am" I chuckled.
"Do you want a piggy back ride?" he asked smiling
"Not right now I'm good babe." I said placing my hand in his. We were walking around the arena, looking at everything.
"What do I have that Valary didn't have?" I asked.
"Well babe you care, you help me out when you can, you understand that the band is apart of my life and it's a big factor. Even though you don't have to, you make sure you earn your keep. You amaze me everyday, you're so strong. You know how to kick ass, all in all you understand me sometimes, like I know early confused you that's why you needed Jimmy but it was because I was thinking of a plan. Valary is train wreck waiting to happen, she didn't understand like you do. She is just after the money you know." He said rubbing his thumb over my hand. I leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked.
"I should warn you a little more, I have a temper and sometimes it's hard to control. I mean you haven't really seen it yet because nothing has really pissed me off. Jake and Valary made me mad but that's just one level." I said quietly
"It's ok babe I have a bad temper also. We can make this work." He kissed my head.

We came up to the Ohio River and sat down on the bank, just looking at it.
"You know this is making me miss California. But also makes me miss home." I said looking at the water.
"I can totally see where you're coming from. I can't wait to be home again, these other 2 months need to hurry up." He said.
"Where are we going next?" I asked.
"Philly, we will be getting a hotel room there so we can actually sleep in a bed." he smiled.
"That's good, I can't fucking wait." I sighed
We continued talking about a lot of things, we didn't notice it was super late till Matt got a call. I'm surprised any of the guys were completely sober to even talk.
"Yeah we will be back soon, yes we are ok. Chill out we will be back soon Gates" Matt said into the phone. I'm really surprised Brian is sober enough to talk. Matt hung up the phone and looked at me.
"Time to go baby, we gotta get back to the bus, we leave soon anyways."
"Ok, let's go" I said getting up. Matt helped me up, I grabbed my shoes and we started walking towards the venue. I stopped and let Matt walk a head, "Matt" I yelled.
He stopped in his spot, I took off running then jumped on his back wrapping my legs around his waist.
"You're so fucking beautiful" He said
"You've told me" I said kissing his neck. We continued our way back to the bus, all I could do was replay tonight again and again in my head. I was the happiest that I have been in a while all thanks to this little family that I grew apart of from California.
