Almost Easy

Auden was just finishing getting ready when she heard her front door bust open, feet running up the stairs and the voice of her best friend yelling "We are going to have so much fun tonight girl !"
Smiling Auden says "Ok but I'm only going to have one or two drinks because I am your ride home and I do not need to be spending all of my money."
"Dylan left you a lot of money so live it up."
"Aimee, I know what my brother left me but I still don't have a job like you!" sighs Auden.

Looking down at her black curve hugging dress and red heels, Auden thought about how Dylan left her and their father a good share of money each, she knew he would be disappointed if she blew it all at once.

"Babes I know it's hard but you've been here for a year and you've barely leave the house except for when I make you. So tonight you're gonna live it up a little bit with me." said Aimee. Looking up at her best friend she gave her a small smile because she knew her best friend was right.

Getting up and walking out of her bedroom to go to the garage Auden says, "Ok let's go bitch I'm driving!" she opens the door climbing into the truck she just finished earlier presses the button to open the garage door, starts up her truck and turns on some music and heads to the club with Aimee by her side.

When they arrived at the club they got out of the truck and had to fix their dresses, locking the keys inside Auden knew exactly where the spare key was. As they walked in she could hear the good bumping music, she watched as Aimee danced her way over to the crowd, Auden lets out a small laugh and shakes her head while walking towards the bar. When she arrived she asked for a crown apple and dr. pepper.

"Interesting choice of a drink for a beautiful girl like you." says someone next to her.

"Thanks." she says as she looked at where the voice same from. When she saw who it was she dropped her jaw a little and couldn't believe Matt Sanders aka M. Shadows was sitting there.
"What is your choice of drink tonight?" she asks as she looks at his drink.
"Jack and coke" he says as Auden asks the bartender to refill his drink.
"Thanks but you didn't have to buy me a drink." he said.
"You're welcome and I know but I wanted to." she said as she walks away she left eyes on her back as she went to find Aimee.

When Auden found Aimee, Aimee knew something was up because Auden had this smile on her face that hasn't been there since Dylan was here.

"Girl what happened?!" asks Aimee.
"I just bought M.Shadows a drink!" exclaimed Auden.
"No fucking way Auden!"
"Yeah he looked like he could have used it so I bought him one, anyways I'm going to find us a place to sit." says Auden.
"Ok I'll be there shortly if I don't meet anyone on the way to the bar." Aimee says as she winks.

When she finally found a table Auden sat down fixed her dress to make sure it wasn't reveling a lot, she sipped on her drink looking into the crowd. She felt someone come up to her, thinking it was Aimee finally coming back from the bar. She turned and met a dimple smile and hazel eyes.

"Since you bought me a drink I saw yours and thought I should repay you." says Matt as he takes the open seat next to her.

Looking at the man she has had a crush on since she first heard them, she says "Well thank you sir."

"Yeah I'm surprised you walked away." he chuckled " I saw the way your mouth dropped when you saw me, and usually when a girl buys me a drink which is rare they never walk away."
"Yeah I'm surprised I did to." saying Auden as she takes a sip of her drink. "I'm curious out of all the clubs in Huntington why come to this one?"
"Well Zacky and Brian like this one because of all the hot chicks here, their words not mine. so I really did not have a choice." he says.
"Zacky and Brian are with you?!" Auden says as she starts thinking about her friend which she hasn't seen in a while.
"Yup" he says taking a drink.

Great. She thought to herself after taking a long swig of her drink. Auden was hoping Aimee wouldn't find one of them because she knew what would happen.

Auden looked up to see Matt staring at her. "What?" she says blushing.
"Nothing" he says smiling. "I think I just got lucky to be here looking at such a beautiful woman like you."
Feeling heat come to her cheeks Auden says, "Yeah but you got a girlfriend."

A pained look came across his face. "No I don't" he says as he takes a long swig and called for another drink.
"Oh" said Auden. "Sorry didn't mean to bring it up"
"Don't worry about it" he said as he started looking off into the distance.

Auden sat there just staring at her drink when she heard giggling , turning around she saw Aimee hooked on to someone.
When she saw the face. "Oh no." she groaned making Matt snap his head up and look in the direction she was looking, when he saw Zacky with some girl he groaned too.
"There you are Matt, I've been looking for you." says Zacky.
"Yeah and I've been looking for you." Auden says glaring at Aimee.
Blushing Aimee says," Sorry I was getting a drink when Mr. Smooth Talker here came up and started talking to me as he got a drink."
Shaking his head Matt says, "So what do you want Zacky?"
"Nothing man just wanted to check on you to make sure you did leave us because you're kinda our ride home tonight." says Zacky
"Yeah I know, its kinda hard not to forget about you two dumbasses." Matt laughs.
Everyone laughed along with him.
"It's ok I'm her ride home too." pointing at Aimee who was engrossed into a conversation with Zacky as they were walking away.
Both of them watched Zacky and Aimee disappear into the crowd.

Turning back to Matt, Auden asks. "So what is it like being a rock star in a club?"
"It's not what you'd think it is" he says taking a drink again.
"Oh really?" she asks with her eyebrows raised.
" Yeah there is a lot more too it, yeah you may get treated like royalty but after awhile it just gets old and annoying." Matt says.

As they continued their conversation Auden still couldn't believe she was actually talking to him, after awhile he asks her "So what is your dream?"
She looks at him, then looks back at drink, then looking back at him and says "Well I wanna be a guitar tech, I've always loved playing so I decided I want to be a band tech."
He raised his eyebrows looking at her, he says "But guitar tech is a boring job."

She sighed and started explaining how her brother taught her and how happy it made her, she also explained how it helped her brother through their parents divorce, and how it helped her when she was having nightmares he would come into her room with his guitar and play her a lullaby to help her fall asleep again. Auden looked at Matt and gave him a small smile.
"Since he died overseas serving our country it's been hard but he told me to follow my dreams." she wiped some tears away, placing her hands on the table looking down at her drink, not letting Matt see her tears.
"I'm so sorry for your loss, I can't imagine your pain." said Matt as he puts his hand in hers.
She nods. "Yeah it is hard sometimes."
Matt decided to change the topic, but they couldn't just stay on one topic they kept switching to one after another. They talked about everything and anything. Auden loved it, she loved how they could talk about anything but she didn't dare bring up Valary.

Auden looked at the clock, it reading 2 o'clock. She saw Aimee easily in the crowd with Zacky because most of the people were gone, they made eye contact and Auden gave Aimee the signal that it was about time to go. Turning back around she saw Matt staring at her, so she gave him a smile and he gave Zacky the signal to find Brian because he knew Haner would be somewhere making out with a chick.

Before Aimee showed up, she grabbed a pen and some paper out of her purse and wrote down her and Aimee's number for the guys. She looked back at Matt and said "Here is my number. I had a great time sitting here talking to you and if you're ever bored or lonely don't be afraid to call me or text me." Auden smiles.
"Thanks!" he says with his dimple smile.

Once the others were back at the table Auden handed Aimee the piece of paper with her number on it to give to Zacky. They found out Brian got a number from some random chick. Everyone grabbed their belongings and walked out side. Arriving at the truck Auden went to find the spare unlocked the doors, started up the truck and shut the door. When Auden and Matt said their goodbyes Auden climbed in her truck waiting for Aimee. Auden looked out the rearview and saw Aimee saying something to Matt , which made him smile. Auden wondered what she said but she didn't ask when Aimee got into the truck.

When Auden got home she went in her room and changed and Aimee was in the guest bedroom changing. They exchanged their goodnights and went to bed.

As soon as Auden's head hit her pillow she fell asleep with a smile on her face.

Sorry this chapter is so long. I just didn't want Matt to be seen for like a second.

I'm thinking about making the next chapter in Matt's POV.
