Brompton Cocktail
Summary
He is finding it increasingly hard to concentrate on living with the forever growing voice in his head calling for alcohol, he turns to drugs in a desperate attempt to numb his pain.
The last thing he wants to do is hurt anyone but his troubled soul can't seem to help it.
Characters
Brian Haner (Synyster Gates)
Lead guitarist of the band. Zacky is his best friend and they became closer after Jimmy died, but lately Zacky has been distancing himself from Brian and the rest of the band in an attempt not to hurt them. Brian wants the old Zacky back and wants to help, but when he hears about Zacky's violent outburst on his close friend McKayla (who he has known since high school) he's not so sure the old Zacky even exists anymore.
James Sullivan (Jimmy)
Jimmy passed away recently, not only leaving the band without a drummer but without a best friend. Jimmy always listened and lightened the mood. Although the band can no longer see him or hold a conversation with him, he is still there for them. He comes back as the conscience of the band members and influences their decisions as well as helps them through their hard times.
Johnny Christ
Bassist for the band. He struggles to not only come to terms with the death of his friend Jimmy but also the loss of his two parents. As he discreetly turns to drugs and alcohol, he meets Zacky at a run down bar one day. The two of them, despite being in the band together rarely talked, but could Johnny be the one to realize that Zacky is still there inside? Could he be the one that convinces the band that they can help him? Could Johnny and Zacky save each other...
Matt Sanders (M. Shadows)
Lead singer of the band. He was one of the first people to notice Zacky's strange behavior and at first wanted to help, but immediately after hearing about what Zacky did to McKayla he loses all respect for him and wants him out of the band as he struggles to even look at him in the same way.
McKayla Reed
In a relationship with Zacky that soon becomes abusive. She loves Zacky and wants to help him, she and the band try continuously to help him but what more can she do when nothing is working? She has known all the band members from a young age and has always tried to help them out. She is loved sincerely by all the members and non more so than Brian, who deep down still has feelings for her from their whirlwind romance they had back in high school. She is best friends with Val and turns to her for help with Zacky.
Val Sanders
Married to Matt (M Shadows) and a dear friend of the bands. She is best friends with McKayla and is always there for her. She knows everything about McKayla as they grew up together. She and Jimmy had a special relationship and she finds it hard to cope without him but she finds comfort in talking about him with the band and helping them with their grief. She has taken on the role of Jimmy- the shoulder to cry on, and she finds this is helping her cope with the loss of her best friend. She doesn't know what to do this time though, and she's not sure how to help Zacky himself or save McKayla and Zacky's realtionship but she is determined to try.
Zacky Vengeance (Baker)
Heavy alcoholic. In a unsteady relationship with McKayla due to his alcohol abuse. Rhythm guitarist for the band. Struggling to cope after losing his friend Jimmy and his parents. He doesn't want to hurt anyone but there is only so far away from them he can be. Deep down he is still the loving, caring person he is but this is all being masked by the monster the alcohol creates.
